How to Dress like Audrey Hepburn in 2020

[Music] hello lovelies welcome back to my channel so today i'm going to talk about how to dress like audrey hepburn in 2020. so the brand utopia sent me a whole bunch of audrey hepburn inspired outfits and there's different ones based off of breakfast at tiffany's as well as roman holidays so i'm going to share some of these looks with you and also share some basic style tips to dress like audrey has slim black pants ballet flats and oversized button downs and once you have all these different pieces it's really easy to coordinate them and it kind of gives you a nice capsule wardrobe so some things that you might consider investing in is a striped shirt a midi skirt and strappy sandals a plaid shirt a plaid button down is a perfect counterpart to retro shorts and wool wedges audrey hepburn was also seen wearing loafers and these are a good alternative to heels and they look really cute with black form-fitting cropped pants in my opinion another classic one is a simple white button-down shirt that you can wear with black pants and this kind of is an oversized look or you can also wear it with a skirt and another look that she loves is cropped pants with black ballet flats i think black ballet flats are really nice classic to have in your wardrobe and they give any look a polished feel another staple is gingham pants so i saw many photos of audrey wearing a gingham pant like a short crop capri and you can also wear these with a white oversized shirt i also saw old photos of her wearing halter dresses these are kind of fun 1950s dresses that look really cute and are quite transferable today and she also wore a turtleneck there's so many photos of her wearing a black turtleneck and i feel like this is such a classic there's so many old hollywood movie stars that wear black turtlenecks so these are all staples that are pretty easy to find i want to dress like audrey hepburn in my opinion i would say almost skip the trends and opt in for high quality basics i mean you can invest in a really nice trench coat and this could last you for you know 20 years it's a really nice form-fitting trench coat though they don't go out of style same with like a nice cashmere black turtleneck or a striped turtleneck those again don't go out of style like all these pieces are an investment and you can really coordinate them together to make a nice look audrey hepburn also loved accessories she loves silk scarves around her neck like in roman holiday and a breakfast at tiffany she had quite a nice jewelry collection and she also loved her louis vuitton speedy bag that you can see in numerous photos of her wearing that that was kind of her go-to bag at the time when she started wearing this bag air travel was becoming popular among the elite and the that wouldn't translate into something you could wear every day and these black dresses are really well made and very comfortable so they don't have that costume look and feel but you could wear them for halloween if you wanted to as well so this is holly go lightly signature black dress that she wears in the opening scene with the pearl necklace and it has the kind of tea back and it's actually really comfortable and flattering i really like the cotton fabric and it kind of adds a nice touch of elegance to your everyday wardrobe and the set includes a cotton dress long black satin gloves a pearl necklace and flower pendant faux diamond earrings jeweled hairpiece tierra and a cigarette holder and it comes in this beautiful breakfast at tiffany's inspired blue gift box which is really pretty if you want to give it as a gift to someone and the next outfit is a holly golightly black fringe dress an oversized jewelry set and this one's also inspired by breakfast at tiffany's dress is made from eco-friendly material and it's the highest quality and you can wear in your everyday wardrobe like i said before and it has a really cute fringe detail and the bow in the front it's really well made and comfortable i was quite surprised by it and it comes with the really cute bib navy necklace that's a replica of the one she wore in the movie it also has oversized clip-on black earrings that are the same one she wore and the next one is princess anne costume from a roman holiday and this is a really cute ensemble too it comes with this really nice brown linen skirt that you could easily wear through the summer and it's 100 linen you can really tell it's nice quality it's a really nice fitting flattering circle skirt and then it also comes with a white cotton blouse which is very classic and you can wear that blouse with a pair of form-fitting cigarette pants and i think it'd be really cute with ballet flats as well and if you want you can also get the tied up shoes that are replicas from the one from roman holiday and they're really comfortable and i just really like how they wrap around the ankle if you really want to complete that look and it also comes with a really cute satin scarf which you could wear anytime even if you're not dressing up as her for halloween or you could even put it around the handle of your purse i think it's a really cute satin scarf and again it feels really high quality and the last outfit is the oversized sleeping pajama shirt that she wears and breakfast at tiffany's with the matching mask and it's that really cute tuxedo shirt with the black buttons and it's oversized and then it comes with the replica blue mask that i'm wearing now and it's super cute it looks exactly the same as the one in the movie it even has the jewels on the eye and it all
