How to Draw Barbie - Portrait Pretty Girl Face

[Music] hi there wendy here from dressed up cute in this video we're going to draw my draw so cute barbie so let's get started with barbie we're going to first start by drawing her hair so we have this nice long curve that comes across her face so i'm going to come about right here and i'm going to draw a curve so about right here [Music] show a nice long curve and bring it out and so on this side this is where her hair parts we're going to draw another curve for the other side [Music] and just sweep it out and so now we've got these two lines and in between these two lines we're going to draw her face so just center it for yourself and just come about i'm going to come about right here and i'm going to give myself a point [Music] it's a nice straight line right there on the point so i know that's where my face is going to be right here and i'm going to come to the center of those two lines and i'm going to come down to about how low i want longer i want her face to be and i'm going to be about right here i'm going to draw a little curve so this is for her chin area and so then from there now i can gauge this curve to come down with so i'm just going to keep coming down right here so it's going to be a little bit straighter over here and it's going to start to curve so let's go on this side a little bit straighter and it's going to start to curve down [Music] and keep coming to this point and connect and so right here we're going to do the same thing and connect it so it's a little bit sharper [Music] so i'm doing it really lightly with the sharpie so that um it's almost as if i'm sketching with the sharpie because i kind of have to because this is a more complicated drawing so hopefully i'm going to make it easy for you guys to follow along and draw this so now we've got her face in and this is something totally new for me at draw so cute so i wanted to do something very different and uh i i hope you guys think it's pretty cool so um from there let's uh draw her face now so we're gonna draw these barbie eyes and it's kind of my draw so cute version of the barbie eyes so let's see we're going to draw her eyes about right here so i know i'm going to come up with a curve so i'm going to give myself a little point towards the centers so let's say about right here let me give myself a point come right across so about in the center right there and imagine you're going to go up of a curve and it's going to be towards the edge just give yourself another point and so come across on this side and give yourself a point also next to the edge [Music] like that and so obviously if you were using a pencil this is where you'd be sketching those very light lines to figure out where the eyes would be and but i just wanted to show you because i'm using a sharpie and i want to be really careful when i draw this they don't mess up too badly so that's why i'm giving myself points so i'm going to come here and i'm going to connect these points i'm going to come up nice curve and come down so i'm going to make sure it's about the same height i'm going to come over here give myself a little point and i'm going to connect it so go up to that point and come down so it won't be exactly the same for sure but we're just trying to make it at the same level and about the same size that's our goal and so from there we're going to come down right here so this is the edge we're going to come down and then we're going to flatten it out so come down and then we're going to come towards where you drew this let's bring this down a little bit more and we're going to come here and connect it so that's the shape so you don't want to connect it all the way just leave a little gap right there it makes it look a little bit better instead of connecting because it looks kind of weird so let's do the same thing we're going to come to the other side make sure it's about the same level so just give yourself a very small point and same thing so we come down more of a steeper angle and then we're going to flatten it out so come here [Music] into this point flatten out and come back so that's the shape we got there and so now let's go in and draw the pupil so we're going to make these pupils pretty big so we're gonna come about right here draw a curve because big pupils look much better makes the eyes look really big and so we're gonna do the same thing on this side so i'm gonna go step by step hopefully making it easy for you guys to follow along so there so then for the inside for the iris right here we're gonna come right here and we're gonna draw a curve so it's kind of like a circle inside so just draw a nice little curve inside and then towards right here we're going to draw a curve that follows the top line and then in right here on this corner we're going to draw a circle so this is for the highlight and then just come in here and shade it in [Music] sorry if i'm going too fast hopefully i'm not making it nice and easy for you to follow along and so then from there we're going to draw these lines just like my draw so cute eyes just kind of flare it out as if there was a center right here and all the lines are flaring out like that so just come in here a little bit more and you can always come in here just give it make it a little bit darker towards the edges kind of like eyeliner [Music] and towards the edge right there it just gives it defines it a little bit more and so let's do the same thing over here so once again we're going to draw as if we're drawing a circle right in the center [Music] and then right here we're going to draw a curve that comes down following the top same thing on this side and another highlight a circle on this edge so if you think about highlights is if you're going to draw it on this corner on this eye it has to be on the same corner so that's how then it would look right or else if you try to put on this corner it wouldn't look right it doesn't make sense so make sure if you're going to put the highlight on one corner make sure it's on the same corner on the other side so there you got the [Music] and then eyes going to come in here once again with the lines [Music] and come in here and darken this up again [Music] and then towards the bottom [Music] just like that [Music] just come in here to fix it a little bit towards the edges and we got the eye in so then finally the lashes and we come about towards the center right here i'm gonna draw one and two just flare it out very nicely three towards the edge right here and just you can go back in and just thicken it up a little bit [Music] and then towards the bottom right here barbie has these lower lashes which is very short maybe like four and then from there we're going to do the other side same thing towards the center one two three four and one more so just come back in here and thicken it up i've always loved this uh picture of barbie so i've always wanted to try for you guys so hopefully you guys like this oh this is a little bit too long [Music] it's not easy with a sharpie i must admit and then come here and just uh four lashes at the bottom but i hope i'm making it easy for you guys to try it out too so there finally got those eyes in and then we're gonna come to it oh let's draw the eyebrows let's not forget the eyebrows so we're going to come up right here and we're going to draw a soft arch so just come up it's just going to go into the hair so you won't see all of it and you just come in here and thicken it up so i'm not going to color it in because i think her eyebrows are brown so so the same thing over here [Music] so this one just kind of goes in and there so you got the eyebrows and now the lips so come towards the center right here about where you want to put her mouth about right here towards the chin area and i like to come to the center and draw a little dip so this is for the dip of her the center of the mouth [Music] a little dip and then we're going to come up a little bit and come down so on both sides so now it's not looking very happy but wait it will so then from there we're going to connect it with a curve [Music] and then another curve at the bottom so this one's a little bit wide deeper and then another one so this one's going to be nice and full another curve so there now she's happy so then come in here just a little bit on the corners just darken it a little bit for her teeth and then right here we're just going to add a little line so just to cap it off so we got her lips in she's so gorgeous and barbies are so gorgeous so there finally we're done with the face okay so i hope i made that easy for you and so then from there let's um continue with her hair and so um but right here we're going to add another curve this gorgeous hair that she has and let's come about right here we're going to add an ear so another curve let's go to the other side right there another curve that's for her ear and we're going to come here and draw a circle so this is for her earring so it's just going to overlap her face i'll go in there and erase that a little bit later so once again a circle for earring and then it's a drop earring so i'm going to come here just add a nice curve same thing on this side so just make sure it's about the same height [Music] there and so for some details in here you can come in here and um just draw another one in the center [Music] and then draw these lines just to make it look like crystal like that so just the center center and then you flare out some lines and so there now we've got let's curve out this line and okay so then let's finish off her hair so we're going to come up here and we're going to make her hair nice and full so about right here we're going to draw another curve sweep it out and let's finish off this curve right here nice big curves and maybe about one right here [Music] and right here we draw another one so go right here so we're just drawing all these nice curves of make her have this nice hair and so then from there let's go about up here right here and we're going to draw the top of her head so her hair line parts right here so just come up here and just give yourself a little dip and we're going to go up a little bit because that's where her hair parts and we're going to draw a curve and connect this so same thing over here we're just going to go up so this is for the top of her head and connect it back down [Music] so there and then from there let's see here um now we're going to draw her crown so she has this amazing crown but i'll save that for a little bit later let's come here and draw the neck so right in the center right here we're going to draw her neck so about let's say about right here we draw a shorter curve so find the center where her head would be the other side would be about right here draw a curve down so that's her neck and she has a shoulder right here so we're going to come right here close to her chin we're going to draw a curve so this is for her shoulder so we're going to draw a big curve that heads towards the center make sure to go at least towards the center of her face so notice it's going towards the center and then we're going to bring it down about right there and then let's finish off this curve and then right here we're just going to towards the center we're just going to draw a little angle line so this is for her arm so i guess this is kind of like a bust um not drawing the whole whole thing it's just her head and part of her shoulder and so then from here we're going to continue this line down and for the other part of her shoulder so i'm just going to come down right there and then curve it out [Music] and so there finally let's finish off her hair it's just gonna continue down you don't have to draw all the details some lines [Music] and let's see here so we're just going to finish it off to about right there so that you can draw a nice straight line across kind of like a little portrait there oh okay so now finally her crown okay so um she has this amazing crown and i'm just going to come in here and show you really quickly how to do how to draw this crown so we're going to come towards the center once again i'm going to come about right here give myself two points so nice and straight down and i'm going to draw a big heart right in the center and notice it's choice of tip right here just but don't go over her hairline just about right there and i'm going to come up here and pop out another petal shape and then there's two circles [Music] right there and then finally let's see on the edges right here so she has this band that runs down on her hair right here so just imagine everything's at a curve we're going to come about right here give yourself two points so just add an angle we're going to draw this leaf shape so it's going to be nice and next to this heart so do the same thing on the other side give yourself a point nice at angle so once again just drawing this leaf shape [Music] and it's all going to come together don't worry i just wanted to show you how you would do it make it easier so come here next to this leaf in the center we're going to draw a circle so same thing on the other side so go right here draw a circle so notice it's kind of at a curve right here that's what we're trying to aim for and then come in here and we're going to draw a band so nice band that goes [Music] nice band and so then from there some details we're going to draw a lot of little circles at the bottom some little gems at the bottom but right here for the heart just draw one follow the outside so this is for the casing for the gem and then come inside draw another heart and then draw these lines so go straight down and then from there we're just going to radiate um lines so this just makes it look like the chin like that and so same thing here [Music] and then come in here and just draw an oval just to make it simpler angle your lines same thing on this side [Music] and center again the lines [Music] and the center of the small circle one so i'm just gonna spin too many details so uh another circle right here and [Music] so there we got that hair band in so let's see here let's add another hairline right here so just to finish it off it doesn't look too [Music] weird and [Music] there and um so we've got these little oh right here we got this another one right here all over the place and i'm going to go in there and erase that and so here they have she has all these little beads that run across so i'm just going to quickly do that so there kind of rushed it a little bit so it's a little bit messy but the whole idea is to have these little beads that go across the hair band but um the main point was to show you how to draw these eyes and her face and let's finish her neck right here and she has this little necklace right here so i'm going to draw the band right here pop it out a little bit and the circle and kind of like a diamond shape right here once again just draw a little diamond inside and make your gem then in here you can just just draw lines right there so there i hope you like how i drew this uh barbie and i
