How To Draw A Rose

hey everybody we're going to draw a rose yeah we're going to show you a really simple way to draw a rose it's going to be a lot of fun we hope you're going to follow along you need your drawing supplies we're going to use markers and you also need some paper and something to color with all right you ready to start yeah let's start at the top of our paper and we're going to draw the top of our rose first we're going to start in the middle and we're going to draw a spiral so we're going to start like this we're going to draw a spiral but watch this my spiral is flat it's kind of squished i'm gonna do one more and then in like that see how it's squished this way yeah there you go keep going around go around maybe one more time there you go keep going and then connect in to the side yes just like that now let's draw the bottom of the rose i'm going to start here and we're going to draw the letter u that comes out around and then we're going to come back in look at the top see how it comes in towards the top yeah and then we can also draw another curve right here for a petal or the side of the petal now let's draw the leafy part at the bottom we're going to draw two lines that come out on each side and then we can draw a zigzag line to connect these two together now let's draw the stem we're going to draw a line that comes straight down our paper and then let's draw another line right next to it to make the stem thicker and down at the very bottom i'm going to stop short so one of the sides of your stem could go a little bit longer and then let's connect those two together with a diagonal line yeah now let's add a leaf to our rose we're going to draw the center of the leaf first we'll draw a curve coming up and out rose leaves have little zigzags on the edge of their leaf but to keep it simple we can just draw a simple curve that comes out and then comes down to the point where the end of that the center of the leaf and then let's draw the other side of the leaf curving out too and then connect back in let's also draw extra lines for the texture on the leaf and draw two diagonal lines on the top and then maybe just one diagonal line on the bottom part what's our rose missing thorns thorns yeah let's draw a short diagonal line coming out and then we're going to draw a curve coming down let's add a thorn down here we'll draw the short diagonal line going the other direction and then we can draw a curve coming down we did it hadley we finished drawing our rose it looks really cute except we're not completely done we still need to color it yeah this is my favorite part we are going to fast forward so remember to pause the video and take time to color your drawings also you ready to fast forward yeah halley we did it we finished drawing and coloring our rose and it turned out perfect it's pretty simple right yeah you could even memorize those steps and draw even more roses next to this one you could draw a whole bouquet of them yeah that would be awesome fill your whole paper and we only used two colors red and green we hope you had a lot of fun drawing a rose with us and we hope you had a lot of fun coloring your drawings and we'll see you later our friends goodbye [Music]
