How to Download View Only Protected PDF Files From Google Drive

greetings it's maxo diddly today I'm going to be showing you how you can download a PDF on Google Drive that has the downloads button disabled so you're able to read a PDF however you want to download it to make a backup or for whatever reason but when you try to there's no option to download it or print it and for download button is grayed out so what can you do well luckily you can use a bit of JavaScript to do so so there's the link in the description below it is to this Google doc that you'll be able to access and I want you to copy everything in this document which is a little JavaScript script then I want you to go back to where this PDF is I want you to open the PDF then I want you to scroll to the last page of the PDF after that I want you to press the F12 key on the keyboard to open up your console then I want you to right click and click on paste then I want you to press the enter key and look it's downloaded the PDF now if you get a warning about don't paste code into the dev tools console what you need to do is you need to type allow pasting and then hit the enter key to allow pasting once you do that then re paste the code from the Google Doc and hit the enter key to download your PDF file one little disclaimer this JavaScript code essentially converts each page of the PDF on the Google drive to an image and then creates a new PDF with each image having its own page so you won't be able to copy and paste of text or do any finding of text but you do have a copy of the PDF that downloaded thanks for watching this quick tutorial I will see you next time
