Hey guys, welcome back to the Detail Garage. Now, today we are going to be showing some love to one of our employees. This Chevy Cruze belongs to one of the guys that works in the office and recently he broke up with his girlfriend and he hasn't been doing so hot. As you can tell he hasn't been taking care of his car, so we're going to surprise him by washing his car. It's covered in dirt, debris and cobwebs; on the back there is a sticker that holds too many painful memories, so we're going to remove it so he can move on. Also the interior has a funky smell, a mix between a musk and perfume so we are going to remove all that odor and revive a factory scent. Before we do all that we need to rinse off this dirt and debris so we can get going with the foaming process. The owner of this Cruze doesn't actually know that we are washing it. We sorta sneaked his keys away while he wasn't looking, so we are going to do this as quickly and quietly as possible. After rinsing off the vehicle we can see there is a lot of water spots, that guy and all kinds of debris has landed on the paint. We're going to move on to the foaming process by using Honeydew Snow Foam to create thick suds that emulsify anything on the surface while restoring a high shine. As you can see this car has a lot of metallic flake and we really want to enhance that. I have our two buckets set up, if you don't know what the two bucket method is, basically it is one bucket washing and one bucket for rinsing. We are going to place a Dirt Trap in each one of the buckets. These traps filter out as much dirt and debris as possible so we don't scratch the finish. Placing them in the bucket and pressing them all the way to the bottom creates a seal that prevents the abrasive particles from returning to the vehicle. While we're at it, lets add an ounce of Honeydew. This is the soap I had mentioned that is going to enhance the metallic flake while also adding a thick lubrication barrier that's going to prevent any scratches or swirls while we're washing. The Foam Cannon I've chosen to go with today is the TORQ Snow Foamer. I love this foam cannon because it creates tons of thick suds while using less PSI and also less soap so we can coat this entire vehicle and really give it a nice shine. We'll get going and start washing this car. Moving on with the foaming process, we'll grab our wash mitt and this is going to scrub away anything else that is still on the surface. Even just after rinsing it, it looked a lot better but there was still grime that was stuck on the surface but by scrubbing them away will bring back that factory shine. Starting at the highest point just like we did when we were rinsing and foaming, now working in straight lines is preventing the installation of swirls. As you can see, Honeydew Snow Foam did an amazing job of creating these thick suds which are lubricating our wash mitt and enhancing the metallic shine. So now we're going to take our wash mitt and dunk it in the second bucket. As we rub it against the Dirt Trap this is releasing any filth and debris that was stuck in the wash mitt and it is now trapped underneath the cones to keep it off the car which prevents scratches. To further reduce the dirt from coming back on to the car we are taking it outside of the bucket to wring it out. Now we'll grab fresh water and soap to continue washing. After bringing the Cruze inside we want to start drying it using After Wash. This is a drying aide that breaks the tension between the water molecules and the paint so that the water won't dry on the surface, take your favorite microfiber towel and start wiping in straight lines. Again, just like when we were washing, by wiping in straight lines we are preventing the installation of swirls which are a lot easier to notice and a lot harder to polish out. So by taking the precautions and working carefully you will prevent the chances of damaging the paint. I'll finish drying the car and we still have a couple touches before we give it back. Earlier I mentioned that there was a sticker back here that needs to go because it looks awful and it is too painful. I'm going to show you my way or what I believe is the easiest way to remove glass sticker and decals. Starting off by using a lubricant to spray the area and this is cleaning away any residual while also lubricating as we peel. We'll also use a blade, I've already replaced the blade so we don't scratch or etch the glass. Starting here, working at an angle and gently working our way around. This is good for removing stickers or decals for perfect clarity and it takes off anything else that is on the glass. As you can see the decal is gone but there is still that remaining residue, just like a broken heart there is still that remaining pain so we are going to Butter Wet Wax away anything that is left. Using a blue towel which is dedicated to cleaning glass and windows, just a little wax. Just gently work it into the glass and this removes the residue adhesive for a perfect fresh start. The natural cleaning oils of Butter Wet Wax easily remove any kind of adhesive, over spray while leaving behind a protective coat. Alright guys, to recap what we have done today we started off by washing the Cruze using Honeydew Snow Foam that created tons of thick suds that encapsulate debris to prevent scratching while enhancing the shine. As promised we removed that ugly decal that was on the window for factory clarity and get rid of those painful memories. As a last step we are going to remove the airbourne odors by using Zesty Lemon Lime Scent. This traps bacteria and lingering odors to give it a fresh new scent. All you need to do is turn the AC on to maximum cold and recirculate, spray in the passenger side foot well because this is where the cabin filter is and that is where it draws the air in from.
