How to Delete the Windows.old Folder on Windows 11 22H2 | FREE Up Storage

good day everyone welcome back to Crown geek in this video I will be explaining that how to delete Windows dot old folder from your windows 11 and how you can free up much space on your C drive so probably you have recently upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and after upgrading there is a file created automatically by the name windows.old that occupy a lot of space so let me quickly show you if I go to my C drive you can see the C drive is full and if I open it and scroll down I can see windows.old file and it occupy a lot of space so let me show you that what kind of space has been occupied and how you can clear it out so you need to make a right click on the Windows icon then you have to go to settings now here in the system setting scroll down a bit and you will find a storage option so click on storage and now this will be calculating the space occupied by apps and feature temp document temporary files so you need to wait here until this temporary file option has been calculated and once done you have to click on it and now this will be scanning for all kind of temporary file occupied by different folders so you need to wait here until this scanning process has been completed and then finally I will show you that what kind of space has been occupied and how you can clear it out and now finally the scanning has been completed and now if you have a look here it says previous Windows installation and you can see the size it's around 19.1 gigabyte and it says filed from a previous Windows installation file and folder that may conflict with installation of Windows have been moved to the folder name Windows dot old you can access data from the previous Windows installation in this folder all right so it's not required so what you can do you can check this option now part of that if you want to free up more storage like you can see I have about 31.1 gigabyte in my recycle bin so if you have any data that you have deleted that move to recycle bin and you don't want that back then you can check back this option as well similarly you can go and check your download if you don't need the downloaded item you can check this option then you can check all these below option over here and then finally you have to click on remove file and you can see it says total selected 50.7 gigabyte so even if you do not select a recycle bin at least 19.1 gigabyte will be free once you have checked this option you have to click on remove file then click on continue and now this will be deleting all the Windows installation folder file windows.old file and the free space will be surely made on your windows 11. hopefully guys you find this video helpful and if yes do not forget to like And subscribe for any question let me know in the comment section till then take care bye bye
