welcome back to susie anderson home today we'll be sharing our ideas for decorating mediterranean-inspired interiors mediterranean style captures the soul of relaxed coastal living its focus is on natural materials and finishes warm minimalism and indoor outdoor living this style draws upon inspiration from an amalgamation of different countries with spain and italy being the dominant influences u.s states such as california and florida have since adopted this timeless calm and airy aesthetic as it's particularly suited to warmer climates colour influences vary depending on which part of the mediterranean you are in however the main palette features a base of chalky whites ivory stone ochre terracotta burnt umber and soft grays [Music] [Music] these are complemented by an oceanic pallet of sky cerulean and navy blues sage celadon and seafoam greens and pops of yellow coral and reds [Music] [Music] dark browns and black accents will add depth and contrast [Music] there
