hey folks here today to talk about this curve I've cut in tile guessing you're watching this video because you're just like me you're homeowner want to have nice things can't always afford the labor that comes with it I laid all this out myself about three years ago marked everything in pencil and decided to try cut a curve I'd used a furring strip because they're real flexible I put a block of wood in that corner and a block of wood right here where I wanted the straight edge to be for furniture placement look like still divides the room but I wanted to curve so I put that furring strip in there and just let it do its natural Bend didn't want to look forced or you know not true did all that and I'm really happy with it all the grout lines were a little hard to lay out I wanted bigger pieces on the curve so furniture and stuff like that wouldn't break tiny little pieces off it's a little more work cutting a curve I have a big chunk of tile but I got some smaller pieces I will try with give you an idea and it's just a bigger scale but I think anybody can do a little bit of know-how and a decent tile saw I'll try and give you description and links to the tools I'm using in my videos today I'm using a rigid tile saw part numbers are four zero to one and of course safety glasses don't want tile in your eyes so we'll go ahead and get started with it you okay as you can see I've got my safety glasses I prefer this style so I'm gonna wear these set these off the side and I do have the tile set up I've got a curve marked in it not sure if there you go you can see it that's gonna be my true curve it's just a practice piece I'm gonna push it through I'll show you how I do it I'm just going to take off piece by piece until I have this edge exposed and then I'll clean it up what I do is I'll pull it through push it through the saw get all this cut off and then I'll pull it through backwards and clean that edge up without taking big chunks out of it make it look a little cleaner I think so here we go [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] there you go a nice clean edge if you so desire you can polish it buff it clean it up file it whatever you want to do depending we laid our carpet edge over the top of it [Music]
