How to Create Your Own Country

have you ever wanted to own a country well it may seem like a great idea there are a number of difficult steps you would have to take the first step in creating a nation is to get land and there are a few ways you could do that the first option is to claim unclaimed land unfortunately nearly all land on earth is claimed however there are a few unclaimed places such as berta wheel between egypt and sudan which neither relation lays a claim however people have tried to claim this piece of land before making it not a great candidate not to mention it's in the middle of an african desert there is also a slice of antarctica that is unclaimed but international treaties do not allow new claims in antarctica to be put in place your second option for getting land is to conquer an existing country there are plenty of migrations scattered around the pacific with minimal if any military however this may cause hostile international attitudes towards your nation a subset option of this is to rise to power in an existing country then topple that nation and rebuild your own on top of it uh i do not recommend this idea you can also construct new land you could just dump a bunch of soil or sand somewhere in international waters and say you own that area now but i'm not sure how that would go over with the un you could also try to build your nation underwater but that would be crazy difficult if creating a country isn't already lastly it's worth noting that declaring your house its own country will most definitely not work once you have possession of land you need to establish a government you have a very long list of options for what type of government you create here's a few options to pick from do you want your government to be a democracy republic monarchy oligarchy dictatorship do you want it to be capitalist communist federalist totalitarian anyway the options are endless once you have chosen a type of government you will need to brand your country this is the fun part you will want to name a coat of arms or if you want to be like the united states a seal and you will need a flag which if is really great or really bad may appear in a video of mine after that you'll need to set up laws which you should probably be thorough about and will take an incredibly long amount of time so have fun with that if you want to retain control over this country make sure you write in something about that next your country can't be a country without a population so call all your friends i'm sure they'd love to come live in the middle of the ocean on your dirt patch with you once you have people in your country you will need to build up an economy i'd start by constructing some buildings oh and don't forget you're gonna have to charge your friends tax to live in your country because otherwise those buildings won't get built oh and you'll need a currency too and while you can use just another countries it's a lot cooler to have your own this is a lot but let's say you have succeeded thus far this is where it gets even more difficult you will need to get at least one country to advocate for you or at least get an ally this would most likely be a smaller nation as the big powers probably aren't even paying attention to you yet the final thing you need to do is gain recognition you can start with getting a couple smaller countries to at least acknowledge your existence however if you can get a country like the us the uk france china or russia to recognize you you are well on your path in order to become an actual country you'll need to join the united nations or at least be recognized by many nations inside but we're assuming that if you can get in countries will be recognizing you the un says the membership is open to all peace loving states that accept the obligations contained in the united nations charter and in the judgment of the organization are able to carry out these obligations it is worth noting that the united nations is an organization and not a government body so technically joining doesn't make you a fully fledged country but but we're just going to say that since it is the united nations being in it makes you a nation how you get into the united nations is as follows you must submit an application to the secretary general and a letter saying you accept the obligations of joining the un security council will then review your application nine of the 15 members of the council must approve your application and that nine must include all five permanent security council members china russia france the united states and the uk if your application passes through the security council it will be then put up to the general assembly where you'll need to get a two-thirds majority vote in favor of approving your application if you
