How to create anything in ArchiCAD: Instant Details

welcome everyone today I want to show you how you can instantly create details anarchic up without a lot of effort to do this I want to show you boom object calm if you don't know it here you see it you have to create an account and if you have done this you can click on browse boom objects and they have a very big library to download objects textures and yeah windows and stuff like this for ArchiCAD and for other BIM software as well you can filter for ArchiCAD objects and you can search for brands and I will show you how to create some details using windows and doors and curtain walls from schuko which is a German brand for you know four doors for Windows and for curtain walls probably them the most famous one in Germany their stuff is made of aluminum and they are famous for its it's good quality if you want to import these things into ArchiCAD you have to click on whatever you like for example this window here go to download and then you see these files so you can also add it to AutoCAD or Revit as well and you have two archicad files the reason for this is that you need this Sukumar cause LCF file to add any other schuko files to your library so you download this file once and then you add just the specific files for the specific systems like the AWS 75 si+ system in this example if you have downloaded these files just drag and drop them into your ArchiCAD library you find the ArchiCAD library on the drive of your computer where you have installed ArchiCAD in my case it's the C Drive go to programs Program Files broken data I don't know where you have you have installed your ArchiCAD there I have a few soft in my case our chiidren wanna have still installed our trendy go to library 21 don't get irritated here it's just the German word for library and drag and drop the two files or more files into this file into a into this file into library 21 or 20 or 19 or whatever version you are using and that's it all then restart ArchiCAD or started if you haven't started it already and in ArchiCAD you will see that these files are there to show you I just draw a little piece of wall and then I go to the windows and you can already see that the Chicot files are here in your embedded library so these are the standard windows from our key card here and if I make this a little bit smaller you can see well they're not in the embedded library they are in the standard library yeah of course because we direct the files into our standard library and we can find them here that's the file we downloaded or you downloaded then you have different options how many windows are inside the window or how many classes will be there just like you have in the in standard library we know you have also these options to choose the shape and stuff like that you can do that with the sugar windows as well but the good thing is you can't use an option or shape or size or something which you add to the window which is actually not available from Chico so all your options are in a rage and arranged with which is offered by Foucault that's the great thing about that so I choose a simple window here and then you already see that the menu is different to the standard menu of windows in ArchiCAD and you can you can just click through the menu and change all the things I just put this window into the wall here and I will draw a section through it to show you something else as you can see there's already the detail window and wall but that's not what I wanted to show you I just changed the wall here to a more difficult wall or two over that say have been kind of wall and nada not a solid wall made of concrete or whatever it is so that's a lot of lot better the problem here is this is the outside so I have to delete the window again now it's correct and this is also already correct I think I'm not quite sure but I think Aki cotton does it automatically that the window hits the wall and not the insulation here if not you I hope you know that you can change that are you and as you can see there the windows coming with with handles already I don't know why it's on the outside but you have the standard options like you have on the on the standard windows too you can open the window if you like to do that but I wanted to show you the detail of the window so you have the detail here already but what's very cool about these Chico Marco windows from memo object comm if you change the scale the detail will change too so we are in one two hundred right now and now I will change to 1 to 20 and as you can see the detail gets more detail and that's what I'm talking about you don't have to search in the internet for some details and download them as DWG file and convert them and fit or match the colors and lines and and so on to your detail you just need you a 3d window here you change the scale and then you can use the detail tool from ArchiCAD which you find here Third Point in your toolbox and then you have the the detail tool just select what you want to show as a detail then you have it here and now everything changed from a 3d model to 2d lines and hatches so you can change them select them add something at text and and so on and yeah you're done in in just a couple of minutes you don't have to redraw anything and that's the perfect way to draw details and the fastest of course and it's correct you you're not able to make any mistakes so that's it I hope I could show you something that you didn't know already and that it's useful and you will draw your details this way from now on and like always stay
