so hey guys welcome to quick tips today i'm going to show you how to cook on a stove in project zomboid so say you found yourself a nice house and it's got a bunch of ingredients this one actually i walked into it and it already has a pot of pasta that's uncooked which is not bad but we can do better and then we also looked in the fridge and there seems to be a ton of stuff in there so we're going to grab some bacon let's grab this cheese let's grab these eggs uh and now we'll go over to you know oh there's a frying pan that's good that's useful so now that we have all those ingredients obviously we want to turn them into something what we do is we click on the crafting icon on the left there and then we click on cooking we can see that there's a bunch of different options for meals that we can make so uh this omelette here let's go ahead and make this omelette so we're gonna need a frying pan and at least two eggs so we have two eggs perfect let's just go ahead and craft that and now what else let's make some more let's add some stuff to this pasta so with this pasta here we can add ingredients so we can add the bacon and the cheese so i'm going to go ahead and add those cheese so now we have a cheese pasta now let's add the bacon actually that sounds pretty yummy now we have a bacon pasta and now let's add some more cheese so it's still a bacon pasta but it's got lots of cheese in it which who can complain about that so now that we have this food we want to cook it we can see that it's dangerous it says it's dangerously unhealthy if we eat it so make sure you click on the actual stove and not the cabinet and we'll throw the food in there so now what we have to do is we actually have to turn the stove on and depending on how large the meal is or how large what you're trying to cook is we'll take you know a bit longer to cook as you can see the cooking bar shows up now when we hover over it and you can tell that it's cooking because the item has started to turn red the bar around is turn red so it shows you it's heating up so i'm going to go ahead and speed up time just because some things take a little bit longer to cook than others it looks like this omelet is going to cook a lot faster than the bacon pasta it's probably just because there's less food and overall or less ingredients now we saw that our almond went from fresh uncooked to fresh cooked so you'll notice that while the bacon pasta is still cooking the bar there says now now the omelet can start to burn so you want to take it off of the heat source as quick as possible just so we don't burn the thing and ruin our appetite so now what i can do is i can just eat that sucker fresh nice and hot the other dishes might take longer though so feel free to do some things around your hideout until things are done cooking check on it periodically but don't just leave it because you will burn your food which will be bad for you if you found this video helpful make sure to give it a like give it a thumbs up and to share it but as always remember do not subscribe thanks for watching i hope my video helped you if it did please return the favor by leaving me a big fat like and a comment so i outrank those useless let's players with 20 minute videos and if you want to take it one step further so i don't have to sell ugly useless t-shirts like all those other youtubers leave me a super thanks it's a new feature it's below where the arrow is pointing right beside the share button
