How to Convert Letterhead designed in Illustrator to Word File | Adobe Illustrator Tutorial

hello everyone welcome to Quick Fix up in today's video we'll be tackling a common challenge faced by many graphic designers and professionals converting a letter head designed in Adobe Illustrator to a Word compatible format let's get started first of all design letter head in illustrator create a new document of a four size with 0.25 bleed and 300 PPI I have already designed a A4 size letter head with 0.25 bleed to save the time now save the file as a highresolution PNG image from the file menu click export select export as an click PNG from the drop- down menu write the name of file select the location on the computer to save the file I'm saving it on on the desktop as we need high resolution PNG select 300 PPI and transparent background and click okay launch Microsoft Word on your computer and create a new document adjust the page size to match the dimensions of your letterhead design Now navigate to the layout tab in word and click on the size menu and select four from the drop-down menu after this click on the margin menu and select custom margin set the margin to Zero from the top bottom left right now click on paper Tab and select custom size from drop- down menu set width of the document 8.52 and height 11.94% and click ignore navigate to the insert Tab and click on header and edit header as we need PNG in the background to insert PNG in the header from insert tab click pictures and select this device from drop-down menu locate and select your PNG file click insert to add the image to your Word document now adjust the size and position of the inserted PNG image to fit your document layout ensure it aligns with your preferred positioning and doesn't exceed the document margins to fit the PNG on whole document click on the position and select more layout options from text wrapping tabs select behind the text now from the position tab set absolute position to Zero from the right of page horizontally and set absolute position to zero below the page vertically and click okay as we can see the PNG has not fit the entire page yet so click on the position again and from the position tab set absolute position to Zero from the right of page horizontally and set absolute position to zero below the page vertically and click okay now you can see our design has covered the entire page now click on the insert Tab and click on header and edit header click on close head and footer you can see the letter head faded out but when you take print it won't be faded out anymore now navigate to layout tab and select your desired page margin for better printing transfer this file to PDF and there you have it a simple and effective way to convert a letter head designed in illustrator to a Word compatible letter head if you found this tutorial helpful don't forget to give it a thumbs up subscribe to our channel for More Design tips and leave any questions or suggestions in the comments section below thank you for watching
