How To Connect USB Accessories To iPhone 15 & iPhone 15 Pro

in today's Tech tip I'll be showing you how to connect USB accessories to your iPhone 15. now I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max here but this works on all the iPhone 15 models now a USB accessory could be an external hard disk with a USB connector like this it could be an SD card reader with a USB uh connected like that or even just a flash disk or a USB drive so how do you connect these accessories to your iPhone 15 or it could be a USB microphone so to do this what you need is a USB type-c adapter okay so with a type c connector that goes into your iPhone and the other side has a USB type a port that you can connect your accessories so let's test some of these accessories so the first thing you need to do is connect an accessory to this connector so let's pick the USB flash drive first and connect it so once you connect the USB flash drive into the connector let's now go ahead and put the connector side into the type C port on the iPhone okay now that we've connected let's go to files and see if we connected for some reason it does not give notifications that a USB device has been connected you have to go to files and check Okay so let's go to the main home page and as you can see my flash disk has been detected it's called Ubuntu that's what I renamed it to a few days ago and you can now tap on that and access the flash disk okay so that's working let's eject that and try something else like uh like this USB microphone okay so it does have a USB connector so let's connect the USB connector the microphone into this type c adapter is that connected now let's plug it in to the iPhone and see if it works give it a few moments then let's open are recording app like viscam and check okay so in Basecamp let's go to the microphone option and as you can see our microphone has been detected so you can see our external microphone is here let's tap on it and you should see here when I tap here it responds okay that means the USB microphone is working so basically what you need is an adapter like this one to connect USB accessories to your iPhone 15 okay and also the iPhone 15 Pro now you don't have to use this one there are plenty of options in fact I have another one that I use on my MacBook and it looks like this so more importantly it has the USB connector on one side which goes into your iPhone and then this one this particular one has other options it has HDMI it has other type C's it has full size USB two of them then the SD card and micro SD card Port so you can either use this or this I'll link both of these down in the description below as uh the adapters you need to connect USB accessories to your iPhone 15. thanks for watching leave your comments and questions down below and good luck
