How to connect SQL Server with Visual Studio Code

lecture i'm going to discuss about how to connect microsoft sql server to visual studio code so here i'm using the windows 11 operating system so first i'm going to open the ssms microsoft sql server management studio and it's opening now now thereafter we need to open visually studio code so this is the visual studio code now thereafter you can see this is ssms microsoft sql server management studio so database engine selected then i'm going to select so this is your server name if you want then you can give the local host so authentication you can select sql server authentication or windows authentication so selecting sql server let's give the login and sa and keep the password after that click on this connect so it's connected and inside the database here you can see this is the system database and this is user database and inside there are three tables so let's select employees and this is the record inside the employees now there i'm going to move visual studio code so first here you need to go on the extension tab so click on this extension then or there you need to search sql server search that then you can see or this first one click on this sql server and you can see total download numbers and with the help of this or package we can easily run or we can easily connect visual studio code with the microsoft esco server so you can see develop microsoft sql server as your sql database and sql data warehouse everywhere so you need to click on this install so this is string the installation and you can see total rating total numbers of download and this is the version here and now you can see this is download that has been completed and there is so you can see sql server or there is the one icon it's created so the next is let's so close that and here this is database project and sql server click on this sql server after that here you can see or there is still some download processes going on so it's doing the download from the github site and you need to wait for of it until this download completed so when that download completed then you can do the further steps so it will take some time so i'm going to pause the video installing done eight one files up unpacked and completed after ordering this one this is so here you can see logical host adam and essay so you if you click this one so here this is the user essay and according to that you need to give the password so giving the password and after giving the password press enter so now you can see here there are tables views synonyms program ability and many more directives are available click on this table after that you can see whatever inside the item database tables inside the ssms stats comes inside visual studio code after that right click then select top 1000 so this is the query that's generated and if you run the query then this is the lifts according to query this is displaying the list of records so inside the employees this is the records is there and if i here you can see total numbers of rows one or seven and this is the executes times okay so this is the most simplest way we can connect microsoft sql server with the visual studio code okay so you need to add this package after that it's too easy to connect that so now in this video it's over so thanks for watching see next week thank you
