How to configure OSPF in Cisco SDWAN (Viptela) using Device Template

hi guys in this video i'm going to show you how to configure ospf uh in one of the vh router from the vmanage using the device template so this is our lab topology i have onboarded vh3 um in our existing setup and if you see this vh3 is connected to one lan router and that router having ip address 20.2 so i have already configured the ospf in this router and in vh3 i'm going to show you how to configure the ospf so this is my land router we'll check the usp of configuration show run [Music] partition router spf process number is hundred so this is my ospf configuration so this is the ip20.2 config in gigi2 and right now there is no ospf neighborship you can see and now in vh3 if you check sure and vpn 10 there is no spf config here and uh spf enable there is no spf configured and if you check the packet capture and you can see you will be getting the ospf hello packets uh from 20.2 that is your interface ip here so now we have to configure ospf in vh3 i'll show you that now so this is how we manage dashboard you can see i have added uh three v edges so in previous lab i showed you adding this vh one and two three has been added and this third router which we add that also using uh the same device template you can see vh1213 and they're all using the same device template one one template so now if you want to configure ospf let's say if i configure this in this device template van template it will get applied to all the three devices so our requirement is to add voice speed only for vh3 so i have to create a new device template and in that template i will configure ospf and i will attach that template to vh3 so that i'm going to do now so first i'm going to configure a feature template for ospf then we can call that so i'm going to give add template i'm going to select the device select device vh cloud and i'm also selecting for csrv so i can use it for both so now if you see these are the list of future templates that we can use basic information with ntp system otp sorry omp vpn and under other templates you can see option for ospf as well as for bgp so i'm going to select ospf so you can see device type csrv also for vh cloud so i'm going to simply give the name ospf template 1 i want to give the description so router id i'm going to keep it device specific and this distance i'm going to keep the same 110 and so under redistribute i'm going to do the redistribution and that is for globally for the protocol omp so whatever routes that we receive from other vh that will be coming via omp and that we have to redistribute into your router i'm going to click add okay so that is added and max metric i'm not touching anything so area we need to add so globally i'm giving area zero area type if you want to change you can change for stop by analysis i'm giving default it will be broadcast and the interface we have to give we have to add the interface so our lan interface for services vpn 10 we given gigi 0 1 so that i'm going to add so that also i can give device specific hello interval dead interval i am giving as it is under advance you have option for authentication at all that we are not adding leaving default only so range i'm not giving anything so advanced reference bandwidth i'm leaving 100 it's a default value so i think that's it we'll save this so now i'm going to create a new device template for putting ospf into your vh3 template i'm going to create this for h cloud i'll just give the vh3 name only so now i'm going to create a new device template vh3 ospf i'm going to use the existing uh future templates in this device template so for system i given already bft omp vpn0 template vpn 0 interface template vpn 512 template interface template then vpn 10 the service vpn template and vpn 10 interface template the only thing new i'm going to add here is the vspf so ospf template what we created now i'm just adding it rest everything i am giving as it is update so now uh v edge ospf template i'm going to attach a device that is my vh3 so it is asking us to enter the details click here it is device template so we have to give the router id i'm going to give the interface ip address only 20.1 on the interface name interface name ospf interface name is gigi 0 1 so rest of the things since we already onboarded this vh3 it takes from there only i'm giving update so now we can see the status green giving nest so we can see under vpn 10 the router ospf configuration is getting added config difference we can check ospf config is getting added here i'm going to keep configure now so now it is getting configured so our new device template uh is successfully pushed to your vh3 now you can see now vh1n2 in the first device template that we created and vh3 is with the new device template that we created now let's verify the ospf go to monitor networks i'm going to select vh3 vh3 i'm going to real time just type spf so whatever ospf commands that we can run you can see here you just have to type ospf i'm going to check who is fifth neighbor okay i can see the way spf neighbor came up it's in full state and ospf interfaces gigi zero slash one and then ospf roots filter so these are the list of ospf routes that you are getting network external these are redistributed routes and also you can check ospf database so now we will see in the cli also now i'm in vh3 show ospf neighbor i can see the neighbor is up and show ip so if i p root you can see the ospf roots that we are getting 10.2.2 10.3 so these ips we are getting from ospf and in our land router also we can check show ip ospf neighbor came up so now i'm going to vh1 and there also i can see show ip root so that 10.110.3 ip is coming from omp and that is coming from the t log ip30.1 that is my vh3 where we are advertising
