How to Change to Playstation Button Prompts on Steam Games (Read Description)

all right so I've been having this problem for a lot of my Steam games and is this is this very simple thing see this this is a PS5 controller you see that right there that is a Xbox button prompt I've been wondering well a lot of games now you know if you played the with a PlayStation controller you should be getting Playstation button prompts and yet so many of my Steam games I just you know play with the PlayStation controller as you can see right here as you can see right here I'm playing the PlayStation controller and yet I'm still getting still getting Xbox button prompts and I've seen some people in Steam communities ask about this and I actually found out how to fix this and it's a very very simple fix and I don't know why valve made it this way but uh it's very simple fix now all you have to do is just uh let me just wait for this to stop uh right click on the game you want to play and go to properties and go to controller and by default it should be set to enable Steam input you want to put just change that to disabled then that that's it that's all you that's all you need to do then go back into the game way for this to load foreign logos okay here back in my game and now look at that PlayStation button prompts still be playing with my uh PS5 controller here so if you play PC games particularly Steam games with the PS5 or PS4 controller and you want to see playstate in the game has PlayStation button prompts but still showing Xbox Ones that's all you have to do it is very simple I don't know why valve made it that way but at least it's a very easy fix
