How to Catch a 6IV Masuda Method Ditto in Pokemon Sword and Shield

what's going on everyone Austin John plays here and today I'm gonna be going over how you could get a Masuda method ditto and pokemon sword and shield as soon as the game came out I made a video on dittos location and how to get one and ever since then we've had more and more information and I wanted to make a follow-up video to that but I feel like I'd be regurgitating a lot of the same information so I figured I would let you guys in on how to get a Miss suited method it oh now there are three reasons you would want to have a ditto in the game one pokedex completion basically for breeding run of all forms of Pokemon shiny hunting and breeding using the Masuda method which involves using a Ditto from another language breeding with your Pokemon which has an increased chance of hatching a shiny pokemon or a competitive ditto which is a ditto with five or six Max IVs I've come up with a method that allows you to catch a ditto within the first hour of playing a game and we're gonna be going over how you can get a 5 or 6 max i v denno in another language on your own system now you have a couple of options here and one of them is required one to have a friend to have a second Nintendo switch and a copy of the game which I'm going to be demonstrating on or 3 which is a future possibility Pokemon home now we don't have a lot of information on Pokemon home right now but essentially it's going to be replacing Pokemon Bank on the Nintendo switch and there's one specific mechanic that is unclarified and if it is a mechanic then you can do this method if this will not work when Pokemon home comes out then in the future I'm gonna edit this video and chop all this out so you won't even know about it assuming that you can use Pokemon home and one Pokemon home account with any of your Nintendo switch profiles you can essentially take one Pokemon from this profile put it in home and then put it into this profile assuming you can do that this will work as well now in order to get a Masuda method ditto you need to do a playthrough in another language if you're bilingual you're fine if you're not bilingual you're just gonna hit the a button for a half-hour anyways it's fine you already know the story I chose Italian and I'm gonna be referring to it as an Italian playthrough or in a just know that that could be any language other than your main language your first time making the way into the wild area before it even going and registering for the pokemon league championship you have the ability to get a Ditto now for this ditto we're going to need a wishing piece and a wishing piece can be a glistening drop or you need to get 3000 watts which requires you to very slowly walk through the wild area press a in front of all the dens as long as it's not patched out yet you can do date spamming in front of one den four watts and then do your date spamming and as opposed to if you were using a wishing piece like my chikan to max pokemon strategy it's going to reshuffle the dens so you could just walk around and collect watts from the additional dens that pop up after you save up 3000 watts make her wait to the wild area breeder be make your way over to the breeder in the wild area make sure to talk to the breeder because that unlocks the fast travel point at a later point in time and talk to the wot trainer for 3000 watts you could buy a wishing piece now you're just gonna walk right over here and this is the ditto den now pay attention because this varies a little bit if you're going to be doing the friend strategy this switch strategy or the Pokemon home strategy first thing is we're gonna be doing save spamming in order to get a rare den spawn quick recap of that change your tech speed to slow disable auto-saves do a hard save in front of the den right after the prompt to save the game hit a and then the home button in hopes that you're gonna see a purple beam if it's a red beam close the game and repeat the process in front of the same den with the same wishing piece a red beam is gonna get us a whole bunch of Pokemon that are not dead out in this den but if it's a purple beam then it's guaranteed to be ditto because I have badges in this game that I just started off my fifth playthrough it's guaranteed to be a one-star rate like there is no chance it can be a three four or five star rate now if all you're doing is going for a Masuda method ditto and you don't care about its stats feel free to do this raid and catch this ditto and then boom you can start shiny hatching Pokemon make sure to collect every single Pokemon in the game for the shiny charm but while we're doing this you might as well make it a max IV ditto or as close to that as you can for that you're going to do what I just mentioned however you're gonna do it on a second switch or on a friend's switch who's already beating the game what that does is that changes the amount of stars that this rare den ditto can be instead of being a one maybe two star ditto it's going to be a three four or five star dinner a three star ditto is going to guarantee you three max IVs in any of its stats but a four star ditto guarantees you for max IVs a five star ditto also guarantees you for max IVs but there's the chance that it could be more there's always the chance it could be more but I think the chance is higher on a five star so as long as it's not patched out yet you could do the raid date spoofing trick in order to reroll your raid a quick recap of that you want to go to invite others and when the countdown starts change your systems date exactly one day forward and quit the raid reinitiate the raid you're going to get more watts the two thousand watts and repeat this until you have the desired star amount of raid that you're going to be entering for me I started with a four and then I rolled a 3 and then a 3 and then a 5 so it may take you longer may take you less time now with the desired raid do a hard save in front of the den make sure your autosave is off that's so that we can ensure that the brand new player with level 5 Pokemon it can catch this 5 star ditto now start the battle and invite others if your friend is the one who's hosting the raid and they're in the post game then they have to invite you otherwise just invite your second Nintendo switch in the other language it's important that the 5 star dead Oh raid host is the one who initiates now good luck completing the raid it's literally just luck what it transforms into if it has its head in ability and posture and believe if it has in posture it's going to imposter the raid host so whoever the first on that list of four is that's what Pokemon it's going to turn into if you're anticipating that you can just go in with Magikarp knowing only splash and you should be fine after you complete the raid have the international player catch the ditto make sure they catch it if they do not catch the ditto then the raid host wants to close his game out reopen it and then redo that that process of the raid again but if they do catch it boom now this person has a 5-star ditto at max level and it's a different language because they're playing the game in a different language it doesn't matter the language that the raid was hosted in it only depends on the game who caught the ditto all of the information between these two d-does is going to be exactly the same if it's shiny what what it's IVs are all of that information the only thing that varies is the level that the Pokemon is which is capped by the amount of badges that a player has so in this case it's zero badges and it's a level 20 Pokemon as opposed to the raid host who's in the postgame and that was the unrestricted level deado and then last step is just trade these two Pokemon now the English profile Austin chand has my Italian profile osteon loss ditto and my Italian profile osteon au has my English profile Austin John's ditto now both of these profiles can start doing the Masuda method because they now have an international ditto and you can repeat this process it's as simple as that I know I literally went over like a very complicated procedure but yes it's as simple as that it used to be much harder because the three ds's were region locked so you had to find someone in a different country with that country's version of the game or someone who imported it to America it was very difficult but now you can do it at home and that's amazing because the Nintendo switch is not region locked I'm an Australian citizen speaking Italian in New Jersey I just thought about something take the rate host they're still going to be not completing the screen not catching the Pokemon because we want them to be able to reset if there is another post game person who has the judge function catches this ditto sees that this ditto is only a four or five max IV but they want a six max IV ditto this person can then reset the raid which gives you the same exact ditto that you saw you can do the date spoofing trick again which is go online change the day one day forward cancel out the raid reopen the raid re-roll that for a 5-star ditto redo the raid and again this person catches the ditto checks the stats if it's five IBS repeat it again if it's six IVs this person can then catch that ditto and boom you now have a ditto raid that is six max IVs or invite three friends they all catch it you reload without reshuffling and boom three more people can catch another perfect ditto if this person happens to be in the other language that is literally a perfect demo boom we figured out how to get a perfect ditto done and you could get an infinite amount it just matters how many times it just depends on how many times that person wants to redo that raid with people by the way my Dino's were 5 max Ivy's HP attack defense special defense and speed 5 perfect IVs is really really fantastic and I'm not mad at that at all this ditto is now perfect in either of these games get a destiny not in hammerlock at the Pokemon Center for I think it's 10 BP make the ditto hold that Destiny's not so it has a chance at passing its max Ivy's down to the offspring and start hatching your shiny pokemon which have a significantly higher chance of being shiny than they did before well guys if this video was informative do me a favor
