Roger Roger while the separatists Alliance had millions of droids in the movies it's pretty much impossible to recreate this with Lego Star Wars at the moment since Lego only has two sets on sale that even contain the simple B1 battle droids this has to stop we want to build a giant droid army and I'm going to show you how to do this on the budget and how to modify your Minifigures and sets to look even cooler you're welcome well let's start with the basic B1 battle droids they were included in 32 sets over the years some of them were pretty good for Army building but the two that are currently on sale are catastrophic since you have to spend 40 or more dollars to even get the basic small one so we have to look online a good platform to buy used or new Lego pieces and Minifigures is Bricklink on there one minifigure should cost you around two to four dollars depending on the condition you're buying and it's also a good way if you look on local flea markets some sellers just want to get rid of them and give you a good price another important thing to mention is that there are many different versions of this battle droid for example the ones on Geonosis or on kashyyk as well as the old battle droids they have two identical arms because the blasters back then were just different than they are today shouldn't be a big problem you can just switch out the arms or use them as pilot droids we will also need them for the vehicles that are coming later on to have a good start I bought 200 of them cooked them all with a blaster and made one modification as you can see they have a stud on the back and they look kind of clumsy to be honest to make them appear a little bit more sturdy I use this tan Ingot piece you can buy that for around six cent per piece on Bricklink and attach this to the stud on the back it looks so much better and clean of course you can also use custom Blasters for each Droid but these blasters are more expensive than the minifigure itself yeah do whatever you want with your money I don't have that kind of money to spend on 200 blasters now we can put them all on this base plate looks so great to see them all together even though this is only the beginning we also will need these Super Battle Droids but they haven't been around since 2015 eight years I think it's because of the very weak material they were made off so they will break pretty easily and it's maybe a quality issue for Lego I don't know but if you want to have them you have to go to Bricklink the price is around four dollars for a used minifigure but please be careful that all of them are still intact and not damaged it's even worth with this very rare battle droid in metallic blue you can can be very proud of yourself if you have one that isn't broken I bought 30 of them some of them have the identical arms others have this special Blaster arm with this rocket launcher on them this was in some of the Clone Wars sets there is no need and not much possibility to modify him awesome figure I hope they bring him back soon with the fear of repeating myself it's also pretty difficult to get droidcast this time they haven't been released in a set since eight years but the big advantage of droidcast is that you don't need to buy the official Lego version you can also use other Lego parts to build a custom mock droidica I got this one from rebrickable and all of the pieces online looks very very good please do me the favor and build them yourself there is no need to buy the official ones like this one it's 41 dollars for just one droidica no joke here is a spider Droid a lot of you should oh this one it's from the new atte Walker and also a fine addition to the collection I did a little modification here on the legs added these cheese slopes to make the legs a little bit more spiky like in the movie or TV series for special missions we will need commando droids they use Super Battle Droid legs and a special head mold they don't cost that much because they are not that popular and they also have been in a cheap battle pack a while ago so it's kind of cool and unique to have them and you can also equip them with this knife I think it's from the castle or medieval wife and give them a little clip on the back so they can use this knife as they do in the Clone Wars TV series yeah we will also need a leader and it's General Grievous of course this minifigure you will get for around 25 dollars depending on the condition it is in and you can also equip it with a custom Cape as I did this one is around four dollars it looks so much better than just the normal plain Lego version and of course we will equip him with four lightsabers now onto the vehicles one of the best ones to play with is the corporate Alliance tank Droid or short snail tank you don't need any pilot for him you can just push him around and shoot with these flick fire missiles on the sides there are also giant prints on the sides and the Minifigures back then were pretty good in this set another thing you can build yourself are these little stab Speeders they are used for Droid transportation and also have little blasters in the front you can see them in the movies and they were also part of many different Lego sets in the past one of them will also be part of my next mock so stay tuned for that also important are the tanks I really love the a80 build Lego has released it two times already in blue you need a pilot from the top here and one pilot for the interior and there is even a secret Escape pod on the older one where you can run away with the droids when Master Yoda comes to destroy it but if you have neither of these sets I would recommend you to go for the new one it's a little bit cheaper it's also a good build you can put this sticker here in the front and change out the Cannons no idea what the Lego designers were thinking it's totally off proportion but you can easily fix this mistake by swapping it out this particular one was released in 2020 maybe some stores nearby you have it still on shelf the most expensive part of the set is Ahsoka and the Clone Trooper if you can buy it without them it should be relatively cheap but all what we have done until this point would be a joke without this the MTT the multi-droup transport the highlight of the Battle of Naboo for me personally you can pull out the rack with the droids in the front 16 droids have a place there if you open up the back you will also find a speeder with the weapons for the battle droids as well as a draw edica and the place for the pilot droids here on top of it I don't know why but the set has always been fascinating to me it just looks so cool even though it is from 2007 but it's very expensive so I wouldn't recommend you to buy it new try to buy it used with maybe a lot of missing parts that you can replace with your own collection then you should be relatively cheap or you can just go to lego.com and download the instructions and rebuild it with your own Parts I used to do that a lot as a kid was very interesting because you had to think about new building techniques and it's much more affordable but here is a complete view of the droid army we just built we have so much diversity going on here so many things you can play with or display in your mock as well as in your collection luckily the droids are way more affordable than the Clone Army and you can also build a lot with your own parts for example the draw 80 cars it just comes down to how creative you are and how much time you are willing to invest in your army I hope this video was inspiring to you here you find more Lego Star Wars videos subscribe if you have fun Roger Roger
