in this video I'll show you how to book an $88,000 seat in the prestigious and rare ANA business class seat nicknamed the room not only that but I'll be showing you how to book this exact seat for around $200 and less than 50,000 credit card points this whole process involves three simple steps and I'll be going through with you every single step so that way you to could fly in luxury without breaking the bank and if you're not familiar with the room it is a fairly new business class product that one of the top ranked Airlines Ana has recently come out with with the seats you have your normal business class international amenities such as an amenity kit a lay flat seats free food and alcohol but there's one thing that makes this product stand out from the rest making it one of if not the best business class products out there this business class seat features a sectioned off wall and an excessively large seat to spread out and get comfortable on which gives you an incredible amount of privacy hence the name the room and to show you every single detail about this seat I actually recently posted a video about my entire experience with it starting from the incredible lounge access that it gives you to the actual luxurious experience in the Suite on the plane itself so either before or after watching this video be sure to check out that in the description below and see what exactly it's all about this then takes us to the first step of booking an ANA business class seat in the room which is to find which airport you'll be flying from since this is a very special seat it is only available on very special routes you will not be able to find a business class seat in the room from any Airport please keep in mind that these routes may change throughout time but I will share with you a sure file way to make sure that the flight you are booking is exactly for the special business class seats in the room before you make the booking here are a list of the routes available right now that you could find this seat on Tokyo haetta to London Heath row Tokyo Hana to New York JFK Tokyo Hana to San Francisco SFO Tokyo Narita to San Francisco SFO Tokyo haetta to Chicago O'Hare Tokyo Narita to Chicago O'Hare and to help you out a little bit more for those routes that we just went over here are the flight numbers that are usually associated with the business class the room seats so feel free to pause or screenshot this screen to use it kind of as a reference point for now and I don't mean to be Captain Obvious but if none of these airports are your home airports or an airport that you usually fly out of then you're going to have to take a positioning flight or another flight before that to get to one of those airports where the room by Ana actually flies out of but that's it for step number one it's super easy just figure out which airport you want to fly out of or Google which airports in a business class the room currently flies out of because it might have changed by the time you have watched this video now let's move on to step number two which is the hardest step of the three and it's to find the flight that you want to fly on for Ana specifically they tend to release award seat availability 355 to 330 days in advance award seats availability basically means that you're trying to use points to pay for flights as opposed to paying with cash which is exactly what we're trying to do pay with points what this means is that whatever day you're watching this video or planning on searching for this flights the furest in advance that you could start looking for availability is 355 to 3 30 days in the future if you're trying to look for flights anything further or beyond that you're not going to find it because Ana has not released those flights yet for award seats that means anything that is 1 day out to 355 days out is free game you should theoretically be able to find an open the room business class seat somewhere along that timeline however these seats are so popular so a lot of people are trying to book these seats using points especially which makes them so rare like I mentioned earlier in the video therefore my recommendation for you to find a flight is to either find a flight as soon as they release the availability so 355 to 330 days in advance or look for flights that are up to 1 day or sorry from one day up to 14 days in advance yes it is possible to find inavailability between you know 14 days in the future and 355 days in the future but it's not very common sure you could get lucky but just expect to be searching for hours maybe even days trying to look for flights in that time range that's why if you're someone who could take a vacation on shortterm notice like in 3 days or a week out or 14 days out then you're going to be someone that will have the best odds of finding award availability this goes for any award seats not just with Ana's business class seats if you're flexo when you travel you're going to have an easier time finding a solid Redemption than someone who is tied to just traveling on on specific holidays or certain days throughout the year with that said from personal experience it is easier to find an award availability for the room when you're looking to travel between tomorrow and 14 days from the time of booking that's because most other people are also trying to book these seats as soon as availability releases which is the 355 to 330 days in advance so yes those two time ranges are the best times to start looking for flights but between those two it's better to start looking for 0 to 14 days out ahead than 355 to 330 days out ahead okay so you figured out which airport you want to fly out of and what dates you want to start looking for now comes the actual physical labor of going through a bunch of flight results and finding the flight that we want as far as searching for the actual flight itself we're going to use three different portals Ana's website Google flight's website and United's website and from those three websites we're going to to start off with United's website before we do that you might be wondering why United if we trying to fly on Ana good question Ana is actually a partner Airlines with United Airlines because they're both a part of the Star Alliance program and it just so happens that you could book AA flights either with points or with cash through United's website one reason why we use United's website over Ana's website is because it's just way easier to navigate through and I'll explain another reason reason why we use United websites later in this video in Step number three once you're on United's website go ahead and plug in the airport routes that you're trying to fly on so for our example what I did was the route from Chicago O'Hare to Tokyo nadita as for the dates what I did was started looking for flights around a week out and either went sooner or later than that up to around 14 days out but before clicking search make sure you click the button that you'll be using United miles or paying with United points and you want to be shown award seat availability when your flight results do come up you want to make sure you hit two criteria number one you have to make sure that the flight says it is operated by all neolan Airways AKA an Ana otherwise you're just booking a United Airlines flights or another Alliance program flight partner and we don't want that the second criteria is that the flight has to be non-stop it cannot have a layover it has to be non-stop even though it's a one-way flight I would then scroll through every flights for every one of those days or in that time range looking for a flight number of nh11 or nh12 which again are the flight numbers that I mentioned earlier in this video that at the time were associated with this specific flight route in all honesty this step actually took like an hour or even two hours before I found the right flight because I ran into two different problems the first problem was that I actually wanted to fly out of San Francisco airport SFO instead so I went through every single date within 14 days trying to find the right flight and when that didn't work out that's when I had to start looking at Chicago or flying out of Chicago as my second option but even if you do find a flight on the right route and with the right flight number sometimes that plane isn't the plane with the business class the room seats that's why there are two different methods to help you verify that the flight you found is indeed the room and not a normal business live flat seat after you made sure the flight has the right route is operated by Ana is Non-Stop and has the right flight number you want to hop on to Google to search up the same exact flight a helpful tip to search for the same flight in Google is to only search for Ana flights and make sure you selected business class flights once you have confirmed that you have found the same exact flight on Google flights that you found on United Airlines you want to click this drop- down arrow here then what you're going to look for are the words in the visual Suite as you could see here that means that this flight has the room for their business class and it's not just normal business class seats if this was a normal regular business class seat it would say Li flat seat which is not what we want if we're trying to go for any the room although that's usually a good enough verification that you found the right flights with the room seats I like to also go direct to the source which is to find the same flight on Ana's website as well here you once again search up the same exact flights verify the information and check to see that it says the room in the flight details I guess technically you could go straight to an's website and verify that information immediately as opposed to going to Google Flights as well once again Google flights is just a little bit easier to navigate than Annie's website it's up to you personal preference one more bonus way though to verify that the flights is the correct flight even though you have two perfectly great options is to look at the seats map here is the seats map for the plane configured with the room seats notice that there are two rows of first class followed by 16 rows of business class all of the seats here in business and first class are in a one two one configuration and go from rows one to row 20 and if you look real closely and go ahead you know pinch your fingers zoom in you'll notice that the business class seats look like mini the room icons or images here are pictures of other ANA business class seat maps that are not the room seats when you see them side by side you can tell the difference between them congratulations now you found the exact flight that you want to book and it's available to be purchased using points but you're going to have to act fast because someone else might actually be looking for the same exact flight and will buy it before you and next thing you know you just lost your flight that's happened to me before in the past and I don't want it to happen to you so be sure to purchase that flight as soon as you find out that it's available and just to be clear if you found that there is a business class seat available for the flight that you found on the United Airlines website then it's most likely going to be available for you to purchase it with your credit card points if you don't see that it's available for a business class option to be used for points on that the room flights on United Airlines website then you are not going to be able to purchase that flight using points just yet now we're going to go over step three which is to actually purchase that flight with your credit card points before we do that be sure to go ahead and give this video a like And subscribe if you want to see more videos like this where I guide you through leveraging your credit card points to unlock incredible experiences just like this one as far as booking with points we're going to use the travel TR partner Virgin Atlantic this is primarily because they have amazing prices when it comes to specifically booking AA flights through Virgin here is the Award chart pricing for Ana flights that are booked through Virgin with Virgin miles the First Column shows the flight routes to and from Japan the second column is for roundtrip economy prices the third column is for roundtrip business class flights and the fourth column is for roundtrip first class flights so for our Chicago and Japan flights we'll be looking at this row here and it's a business class flight so we'll look at this box right here remember that we are looking at one-way flights to actually purchase and these numbers here on this Award chart are for round trip redemptions or round trip flights to find out the one-way prices we just simply divide the number by two therefore a one-way flight from Chicago to Japan in business class will cost 47,500 virgin miles which is exactly what we paid when we take a look at my receipt here you'll also have to pay cash for the taxes and fees portion which is usually around $200 for this type of flight from Virgin now before we actually purchase the ANA business class the room flights from Virgin Atlantic we're going to have to get our credit card points to our virgin account and there are mult multiple ways to do that virgin is a travel Transfer Partner with Chase AMX City marott and builds all of these transfer points to a 1:1 ratio except for Marriott which takes three Marriott points to turn into one virgin mile personally I prefer Chase and AMX points because they usually have Transfer Partner bonuses for example when I made this booking Chase had a 30% transfer bonus which means for every one Chase point I would get 1.3 virgin points that's how I only transferred 37,000 chase points to my Virgin account which turned into 48,1 100 virgin miles transferring points from Chase is easy you just go to your Chase Ultimate Rewards portal transfer points to a travel partner connect your virgin accounts enter in the number of points and you submit that transaction which usually takes a few minutes to go through and process and you'll see the points in your virgin account once those points are officially in your virgin account there is one last step that you need to do to make this booking official you just need to call the number on the screen right here which is the Virgin Atlantic award booking phone number anyway this is the only way to make an award reservation for Ana through Virgin is by calling this phone number here so I would suggest adding it to your contact information like I did once you dial that number you just follow the automated prompts until you reach a representative where you will tell them that you want to book an AA award seat flight from there they will take the flight information like the airports the dates etc etc and you want to confirm with them the exact flight number and make sure you're booking The Right Flight that you did all this research looking into they will then take some personal information for the actual flight reservation itself and congratulations there you go you just booked yourself a business class flight in an's the room for less than 50,000 credit card points if you have any other questions please let me know in the comment section below but other than that thank you guys so much for watching and watch my video next showing you my experience on an's business class the room seats I hope you have a great day all right take care shoots
