welcome back to and this guid in today's video we are going to show you how to add checked bags on American Airlines let's begin now the first thing that you need to do is to log in using your credentials if this is your first time here on American Airlines I need you to click on the join option and from there just follow the onscreen instructions and you're good to go now to add check back TS to your American Airlines reservation you can follow these simple steps all right once you are on the homepage of American Airlines click on the travel information and obviously we're dealing with the check bags so it's under the bags section click on it now here these are the policies for check bags carryon bags and restricted items I need you to read and understand all the information for the check bags for now so we have an idea of what we need and what not to do all right so changes to bag allowance and fees have been updated as of this dat all right and travel within between the US Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands the first um check bag fee is $40 and $35 if you pay online and the second check bag fee is $45 all right so I suggest you understand the bag limitations and bags and optional of uh fees switch over again to the bags now click on the check bags here now I need you to understand all of these so that it's going to be a lot easier to do the check Banks now after that I need you to log in on your account and the thing is you need to navigate to your trips or manage trips sections enter your book details such as your last name and booking reference also known as the record locator to access your reservation now this information is typically found in your booking confirmation email and once logged in you can locate your specific reservation from the list of upcoming trips and again look for an option like add bags or baggage options and from there you can click it to view the available bag baggage choices and select the number of bags you wish to check and confirm your selection because American Airlines usually charges a fee for check bags so be prepared to make the payment online you can also do this on your mobile device okay so once you are here on the mobile app all you're going to do is continue as guest if you don't have an account in American Airlines yet and from here all you're going to do is go to the book flights or find your trip or fly status okay so here and as you can see all you're going to do is login you also have the general information and if you're having problems adding your check bags on American onlines click on the contact American and these are the platforms that you can reach them if you wanted more contact numbers click on it but if you don't just hover back and click the contact as option the chat button for the American Airlines and tell them you're having problems at a check bags on your American Airlines flight thank you so much for watching we will see you again in the next video
