Is vox.com neoliberalism?
Oh man, the teacherโs example is just crazy. Yeah canโt have riffraff moving into your neighbourhood, not awful people like the teachers of your children. Who knows what influence they might have if they became neighbours rather than merely people paid to shape the next generation.
This video makes me insanely angry and I'm not even american!
There you go.

Edit: So this remember me about this video explaining how the terrible California housing policy is in part to blame for all the damages the fires make. I think it's a good complement to this video.
That's where you're wrong kiddo
Whatโs so painful about about the housing crisis is itโs complexly self inflicted.

It seems to me that the housing market is broken in almost the entire Western world at this point. Here in Sweden, it can take up to 15 years to get a home in central parts of Stockholm by queuing, and the situation in Gothenburg and Malmรถ isn't that much better as far as I know. Some unlucky students have to choose between sleeping in a tent, rely on dodgy sublease agreements or cancel their education outright if they can't find a place to stay.
Unfortunately, the situation seems a bit hopeless as any attempt to ease regulations would face a good amount of backlash, which has already happened with the attempt at introducing market rate housing for newbuilds.
