Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I had never heard of that ship or the multiple attempts to sink her, so this was a very important documentary for me that shed light on the Arctic campaigns of WWII. Thanks
Very well researched and produced. Original footage, too. Excellent find, sir!
It's an interesting ship because strategically it was powerful but practically it didn't do much of anything.
Just by existing it caused a lot of war effort to be spent on it.
Its really nice to learn about a not so well known event in the war, especially since its shown from many perspectives.
What really got to me was in the end, when the german fighter pilot reflected on the human losses of the attack. That this war time success against all odds is a remarkable achievement, but its direct results are horrible nonetheless.
Thats a point not many documentaries try to include, after all its not easy to meaningfully weave that into the fabric of stories that invite to be romanticised. At least to me, it didn't feel out of place here at all.
Amazing. Also so sad.
Not available in England??? what??? It even contains stuff about the RAF who sunk it! why on earth can't I watch it from the UK??
/r/WorldOfWarships love this stuff
