Abu and Berkley have released a new rubber bait series called Sick. Available in all sizes for ... perch, zander and pike. We'll give this series a proper shot and figure out how long it takes for us ... to catch all the three species - perch, zander and pike. Edvin thought it would take 15 minutes. Tobbe! - Get it! Yes! He took in the drop - we can't fail this. Not today. What a strike! Net! In order to make this as smooth as possible we have selected a lake where ... perch, pike and zander swim. We can hammer this lake to catch all three of them ... this won't be a bait-related issue because this Sick series is crazy. Will this even be a challenge? Small dropshot jigs with split tails, long and narrow paddle jigs, curly tail jigs ... we also have a shad jig with a broad profile. Here comes the real stuff, here is a big pike shad, also medium-sized shads ... bigger vertical split tail jigs. The supply is enormous. Let's get the boat going so we can start fishing ... how long will it take? Leave a guess in the comments! Make sure to like this video if you have caught a perch, zander and pike ... during the same session. If not, also like the video. Our strategy is to start out with the specie we think is the easiest ... and that is perch. Let's find out which lure works best. Perch don't want the bigger baits ... so smaller baits are good. Dropshot is probably not the best method since ... they are active today during summer. I'll start out with this one ... a Sick Flanker with a broad profile. Looks really hot. I'm about to select my lure from the candy bag. I think this looks great, Sick Vibe in a bream color ... I think this will work out great, looks like a roach - natural and small. Let's see how long it takes for us to catch a perch. I'm measuring for the jig head. We're starting at a shallow rocky area ... so I'll be using a 7 gram jig head, should be perfect. You don't want a too heavy skull ... so you get stuck in between rocks. Looks so hot Tobbe. Let's start the timer to find out how long it takes for a grand slam! First cast and hopefully we can catch a perch rapidly ... cause it should not be our biggest fear, pike probably will. Or zander. - Could be, or perhaps it's perch. We won't jinx it. - Nothing yet, we won't catch perch Edvin. So lovely. Look when I'm about to catch one on my first cast. Get the net ready Tobbe. We've fished for 15 minutes without any results, we most likely jinxed it ... I selected a spot that always hold perch. However, today we don't catch anything .... I don't know it's a big area so we'll anchor up and fish the area because this is my ... safest perch spot in this lake. We can't afford failing this. I had one Tobbe, took in the drop. What a strike! Again. Took on vertical fishing. Perch marks. - Was a perch. I have never fished in this lake before and Edvin told us to head for this spot ... so we can catch a perch within 5 minutes, he promised but what happened? We didn't catch one so Edvin has failed us. We'll have to do something else ... we can see some rocks and twigs so we'll give it a shot because it's close by. We're at the part where there are lots of twigs with a rocky mountain, trees .... and the perch like that. Or at least the baitfish. I don't know if you viewing from your computer or phone should listen ... to Edvin because he's been wrong the entire time. We won't catch ... anything here. Next time I'll be the one selecting a spot. I've had contact with plenty of perch but I've lost them. I think you're lying and pretending so we won't disbelieve you too much. Step it up Edvin. - Same applies to you. I'm getting the strikes. I can't catch fish if there are none here. Had one! I saw the fish! - What was it? No clue. Something big, seriously it was a pig. Could've been a zander, perch or pike. Let's see if there are any bite marks on the jig. Lots of perch marks! I don't think zander will bite. I think it was a pike. Tobbe! No! It was a perch. Yes! No! Dang it, a perch came by the boat and spit out my lure ... Tobbe I have proven there is perch here but sadly I can't get them up ... we've fished for over 30 minutes and we can't waste this much time on perch. Got one! I think it's a decent perch. It's a perch! - Nice Tobbe. Net! Don't lose it. - Great job! It came off. Swapped for your lure - Sick Vibe but I used another color instead ... this delivered. Finally the perch is done, took 57 minutes. Less than an hour. - Indeed. Time for specie number two - zander. - Right. Before we change gear we'll take a look at the perch. Decent perch. - Edvin thought it would take 15 minutes ... this is decent, almost 37 cm or something. Not fat but still lovely. Beautiful fish Tobbe. - We'll swap spot and target zander. When aiming for another specie we also need other rods since we're using ... bigger lures. Here comes my zander spot and down goes our perch rods. Don't break any rods, I heard some cracking. - I'll break the code to catch a big zander ... the only cracking. When fishing for zander I prefer using a stiffer rod for heavier lures ... so I'll be using the Abu Hornet Stinger Plus 10-40 g. This is perfect with a reel in ... the 3000-size class. The major reason why I prefer using stiffer rods is ... that the bigger zander have a solid mouth so in order to set the hooks properly ... you'll need a stiff rod. The zander is a bit different from perch, they live at difference places and structures ... so we'll head for another spot where I know there is a lot of zander. Let's get going Tobbe. How long does it take before catching a zander? - I'd say 20 minutes. Edvin will be using a smaller bait while I'll be using a bigger one ... I caught perch on the Sick Vibe so why change up a winning concept? I'll use it for zander as well but this is 15 cm so double the previous size ... a 14 gram jig head because we'll be fishing at 5 meters of depth ... I won't catch them with this single hook so I've attached a stinger like I used ... in Zander Pro - I firmly believe in this. Perhaps Edvin will catch one before me ... but sometimes zander prefer bigger lures. - We'll see Tobbe. I'll be using the 10 cm Flanker ... I think smaller lures work better now with a broad profile is the key ... we'll see. We're at 5.2 meters with a shallow point near us. Here we go. They will be big. You won't catch a big one on your small lure. - We'll see, what happens if I catch a 10 kg ... or realistically an 80 cm zander. You're down bad Edvin. They'll see my big lure and attract them from ... 100 meters due to it's vibrations. When fishing for big zander it's important to set the brake ... to set the hooks. There we go! Got one. How fun, they have to be here. Pike. - No! A small one - can't be counted. - Right, we're only counting the targeted ... specie at the moment. - We can't have a pike like this. I thought it was a zander. The perch from before was almost bigger. I think so. - Hooked on the small hook. Let's catch a zander instead. - Bad work Tobbe. Had one! - Kidding? No. - Yes you are. I'm not kidding, I had a strike. Made a bowl out of my jig. Fished for 25 minutes and finally had my first strike which we believe was a zander ... Tobbe got a pike but it does not count. I just had a strike on the deeper part ... the jig is a bit devoured. Zander eat zander. Why do you lose them Tobbe? Edvin you have to deliver. There! Got one and I think it's a zander. Hope it's not a small pike. Get the net! It's above the surface. - What is it? I don't know. It's a zander! Get it! - Yes! It's a zander but the size is questionable. - Should we approve this? It's a grand slam but it's small. - We have zander, pike and perch. We need to catch them in order but this one is small. It's super small. Do you think we should count it? Thumbs up or thumbs down in the comments ... okay I've watched the comments and you think it's too small so we won't count it. Almost cheating. - Luckily I had the stinger ... don't be afraid to use bigger baits for zander - can do magic. Sick Tobbe! - Right, the Sick Vibe. Let's catch another big one. I swapped for different colors. Tried this green fellow but I'm still using a lure from the Flanker series ... since I had two strikes before. I believe in it. Caught one zander so let's catch one more! Holy what a strike! This is bigger than the previous one. Crazy strikes during summer, not too big but bigger than the previous one ... so perhaps you should grab the net. Only counted if it's over 55 cm? - Yes, we need a rule. Let's measure it. I told you Edvin, use the bigger lures so you catch zander ... do you think it's above 55 cm? - Unsure, I think 50 cm. It's 44 cm. - Okay let's say 50 cm? That's a solid zander. Sure. Back it goes and let's grab a 6 cm larger one - come on Edvin ... use bigger lures. - Tobbe had another bite so it's not random ... I'll therefor swap for a Sick Vibe 12 cm instead of 15 cm. Coward! - I'm not a daring person. I belive the 12 cm will work good, had great fishing on this size here before ... lovely color as well. - You won't catch anything until ... you use a 15 cm lure. - Be quiet. We've headed for a deeper part at 7-8 meters so a 14 gram jig head is perfect ... be ready to net Tobbe. There! Finally I got a fish and it feels good. I have fought for this ... and I did not swap for a larger lure. Could be approved! I think it's an approved zander! It's fighting a lot. - It's a pike. Are you kidding? It's nice though. I'm still pissed off. We fought so hard today ... however we're back with the pike. We need them later on. It demolished the 12 cm Sick Vibe. - We're aiming for zander. Yes but that will come. Just warmup. Some big pike. There are various sizes on this Sick series and one thing they all have in common ... is that they smell bad, however the fish don't agree with me. They want it ... because there is a certain smell to it that won't disappear ... it's also very durable - you can pull it like this without it breaking which is great .... when fishing for perch and zander. This model - Sick Vibe has been superior ... today. We also have this Sick Curl with a curly tail - perfect for the spring and when ... it's cold in the water. We also have a bait called Sick Swimmer - looks like this ... fat profile, should be optimal for big perch or pike. The zander however prefer more ... narrow profiles. So this should be perfect for perch and pike. We also have something quite big called Sick Vamper - in a mega size which is ... great for vertical fishing as well as spinfishing. There's also a small version ... which should be perfect for dropshot after perch. We also have the Flanker ... available in a mega-size. We'll start fishing for pike since we're fed up with the zander ... and for pike fishing I'll be using this lure. The Flanker is also available in the size ... we used for perch. And a medium size. Various of sizes and they smell - check them out! You took this color Tobbe - seemingly hot! However, I've found something better ... this color. Plenty of perch and zander in this lake which the pike enjoy so why not? This one looks like a zander or a perch. This is what I'll start out with ... so hopefully the pike is here not the zander. We've arrived at a river in the lake with rocky bottom, reeds and grass. Can't get anymore pikey ... this is rigged on a shallow rig so let's catch a pike Tobbe. This will become a challenge ... since it's not easy catching a pike in this lake. - We like challenges - fishing should not be easy ... like catching the three species rapidly. You want to fight a bit. We selected a lake that is quite rough. Right? - Sure, a sport. Sportfishing you mean? That's what we've been pursuing for today ... that's how it is. - The fish are spitting out our lures. That they do, had many spits today. Bit my lure but not the hook. Had one! Not kidding, what a strike. Broke a rib, what a counter-strike ... I had one but why did it spit? How sad, the entire stinger is detached ... check the head out! The neck-bite. He took in the drop. We're on it! Or at least I am. You have to step up. - You are losing them. What pike does not want to live here? If I was a pike I would swim here. Not the one you got stuck in! Tobbe! I caught one. Last cast when I retrieved my Flanker. A pike came and this one is crazy. Is it above 55 cm? - Not sure, but that only applied to the zander. We have to set a limit for the pike as well. - What is this? Only small fish ... however it bit well. This one was hungry, the lure is half it's size. We said 50 cm on zander not 55 cm. So we'll stick to 50 cm on pike as well? Yes let's do it. - Time to bring the Perch Pro measuring board ... for this beast. Let's measure her. Yes! She's 53 cm what a pig ... or not. This is well-appreciated during a slow day. Cool strike though ... despite it's size. Time to release her and keep going for the zander ... because it has to be over 50 cm. It's evening so now it's time for zander. Come on zander I want a bite. - When the sun disappears - the zander come. We had a grandslam today. Caught perch, zander and pike. However. No "however". We are happy and satisfied so we'll wrap this video up ... make sure to like this video and subscribe. Follow us at Instagram - links are in the description ... the weather was good and we caught fish - fun. Great day. - Take care fishermen! Bye!
