How I listen to audiobooks online for free [surprisingly easy!]

i love reading and i wish i could read more but oftentimes i simply don't have the energy or the time this is why i love audiobooks so much you can listen to them when you're cleaning when you're cooking sometimes even when you're working and the best thing about them is that a lot of them are online for free and in this video i'm gonna give you five resources where you can find full length audio books entirely for free as well let's get started the first place that i always check for free audiobooks is spotify people usually use spotify to listen to music or to podcasts but very few are aware that they also have a huge variety of audiobooks if you for example go to this user simply called audiobooks you can see that he has different playlists all of them jam-packed filled with free audiobooks if we have a quick look at the bestsellers playlist we find books like the great gatsby classics like 1984 but also more recent books like the hunger games and all of those are the full versions now there's a little trick here because if you look at the playlist it says only chapter one but in order to get access to the entire audiobook you actually have to click on the name of the album that will then take you to the rest of the chapters isn't that awesome especially if you're already a frequent spotify user if you have the app downloaded you can really listen to audiobooks anywhere any place anytime now of course it's not as easy as simply typing in any book title that you want and you're gonna find it on spotify but they have a surprisingly big amount of books available there if you can't find the book that you're looking for on spotify though i recommend you another source that you should definitely check out it is called librivox librevox is awesome because it is a catalog of public domain books from the us if you are interested in classic novels just like i am then this is a great place to look for audiobooks they have everything available from pride and prejudice to huckleberry finn to tale of two cities and even some of the russian classics like war and peace and especially massive projects such as war and peace you might not want to read yourself you might want to have someone read it to you and for any classic that you can't find on this platform there is yet another platform that you can check out it is called project gutenberg of course i will put the links to all these platforms in the description below and once you're down there why not subscribe to my channel and get more videos about reading and personal development in the future now project gutenberg offers more than 60 000 book titles all of them for free all of them full length so it is an almost endless source of audiobooks and to be honest oftentimes i go there not even knowing exactly what i'm looking for i'm just browsing and almost every time i end up finding a book that i'm really interested in that i always wanted to read but i'd never really found the time to do so well with audiobooks that excuse no longer exists as you can clearly tell i'm very excited about the classics but i like modern literature as well and especially personal development books so there is a platform that i often use to find more recent books and that is youtube i am time and time surprised how many high quality books you can find fully available on youtube honestly blows my mind that youtube is not taking all of them down but hey as long as they're available i'm gonna take advantage of that and listen to them a lot of those books you can find simply by searching for them but of course there are also channels who specialize in offering audio books and i will link a couple of my favorites down below here you can see one that is focused entirely on personal development content for example but really at this point you can find an audiobook channel for almost every genre i more and more use youtube not only for watching vlogs and other videos but also for educating myself i made a video in the past about the best podcasts on youtube and i think in the future i might make a video about the best audiobooks available on youtube so if you're interested in that really make sure that you subscribe so you don't miss that one all right and with that we have come to the last platform that i can recommend you checking out if you're interested in getting access to audiobooks online for free and this one might not come as a surprise it is audible and when i say audible here i really use it as a synonym for any other audiobook app out there there are a lot and truth be told they're pretty interchangeable now personally i have a love hate relationship with audible of course they offer a huge variety of books which is obviously awesome but then again you have to pay for a subscription and you only get access to one book a month and if you're a book geek like i am then one book a month is not that much but since audible just like a lot of their competitors offer a free month trial there's a lot of opportunity to gain access to a lot of free books here pretty much all you have to do here is sign up with one service get free access to one of their books listen to it and then move over to the competitor and do the same thing again really the only thing you have to keep in mind if you want to keep it free is that you cancel your subscription in time i
