yo welcome back I got a cool little video here for you guys as you can see got some editing to do well maybe but anyways I'm gonna show you guys today how I Fletch My Arrows with the Arizona easy mini Fletch AKA The Lazy Man's jig and you're gonna see why I just said what I did right now hey what's up everybody uh today's video is going to be about how I Fletch my arrows all right so um for demonstration purposes we're gonna keep this short and sweet and right to the point let's be honest it gets pretty cheesy watching someone Fletch up a dozen arrows so I'm only going to show you with one Arrow how I normally build my dozens and half dozens so uh Arrow wraps that's all personal preference but again for demonstration purposes I'm just gonna Fletch up this Arrow to keep it short and sweet and right to the point so let's get into this and I'm going to show you guys how I Fletch my arrows using the Arizona easy Fletch that I've really grown to love because that bits and burger although I love it and it is right on the money it takes forever to Fletch up arrows so if you're somebody that's got a ton of time on your hands that may be a good option but for someone like me that's a dad full-time employee I'm crazy busy that bad boy right there fits the bill it will knock out a dozen arrows in no time half a dozen even faster so um let's get right into this I'm gonna show you guys how I Fletch up my arrows I use all the AAE Max products I use the max Bond glue which I love works fantastic uh the AAE Max primer pen the arrow wipes obviously you want to use all their products when you're using their veins which I do I use the max stealth veins I love them they're the best in my opinion um so if you use all their products you should have no issues with those veins staying on the shaft let's grab the jig here take the cap off we're gonna put these arms down now with this jig you have two dark blue arms and a light blue arm that light blue arm is for your vein that's the different color Fletching some people use two white one black or whatever that you like but I use all white but that's basically going to be the vein that's on the stiffest part of your spine so if your arrows are spinal line you know right what arm to line them up with in this case mine is already spinal lined and ready to rock and roll so I'm going to show you guys how I Fletch up my arrows with the Arizona easy Fletch all right now when you pop your arrow down in here there's a little gap down at the bottom I'm sorry if you can't see too well right now I don't have the best lighting here at this part of the house um there's a v down in there and you're going to take the knock and it sits right down in the v you'll feel it clamp in there once it's in there it's in there it's not going to move so once you have your arrow down in there um before I put my Fletching in there I use the bits and burger clamp to hold the Fletching so once I primer them up so we're gonna put them in there take the primer pen give it a couple shakes push down in the mat with it and then I don't know if you guys can see sorry about my chair it's super noisy my five-year-old about destroyed it go up and down the fletchings get them nice and primered up you may think that's Overkill but what that is doing is cleaning the base of that vein because a lot of these when they come from the factory they still have like dirt and whatever else products that's on them from when they they machine them sometimes you have to give it a push this one's being annoying I don't know why it's not coming out there it goes again it may seem tedious but I'm telling you when you build your own arrows there's uh a lot of satisfaction in it we're gonna take our fletchings now and I'm gonna seat them down inside these arms there's little slots where they'll slide right down in there so you slide them down in there I'm gonna show you guys a couple Pro tips too if I remember you know I really don't know where that cap went I'm losing my mind it's probably right in front of me but whatever that's besides the point um here's a little Pro tip the reason why I have a thumbtack out is for the glue bottle because the tips of these glue bottles get real jammed up when you're Fletching a bunch of arrows so I slide that down in there give it a couple twists that frees it up so we're going to come down in here you're going to squeeze this bottle real gentle okay just a gentle squeeze give it a nice even bead up the vein a little bit goes a long ways everybody says that but it's definitely true you're going to take another bead go up the vein you're going to do this with all three of them all right a little bit don't squeeze out a ton of glue it's going to be a messy build if you do that so just a little bit and then I'm going to show you guys a pro tip the reason why I have the toothpick out is I even out the glue here on the fletchings so I even that all out on all three veins so I'm gonna even that glue out sorry about the background noise I'm trying out a new microphone so it might be picking up my oldest son or the heater going on in the back or going off in the back now I'll take a Q-tip here's another Pro tip I'm going to go right up the base of the vein wipe that excess glue off all right I'm going to do that with all three and that's going to get all that excess glue see all that that would squeeze out of the sides of the veins and that would just make a messy build so if you do that you won't have a lot of extra glue it works great believe me all right so make sure your veins are seated all the way down at the base of the jig you're going to hold the jig here all right I'm gonna try to see if I can zoom in or get closer to the camera you're going to hold it I'm sorry if it's not focusing I'm trying to get it to focus hopefully it is and there's a little slot here you're going to push up on this tab and then turn it to the left but don't let go hold it up so we're going to push up turn it to the left we're gonna let it down with the tab at the bottom we're going to let those arms go up nice and slow just like that don't let those arms go flying up your veins will be all over the place and you'll have a messy build take the cap slide it over the end of the shaft put it over that seat it down sit that down and that's when I would normally Prime some other veins to get it ready for the next one but I plan on buying a couple more of these because that'll speed up the process even more hmm well since I forgot to tell you guys in the beginning of the video I guess we'll just make this the halftime show all right to give you a break because nobody wants to sit there and watch a guy build arrows all freaking day that gets boring right but we gotta do it it is what it is all right so I know some of you out there got some busted up jacked up raggedy bowstrings and you're due for some new strings you need to fly your strings you love just hearing from all of you guys so let that dry for a few minutes well not a few minutes I let it go for like a minute or two because this Max bond is fantastic glue it drives in no time so we're gonna take the cap off slide that back up the arrow shaft same thing we're gonna hold it push up turn it to the right we're gonna take these arms and slowly peel them back just peel these arms back nice and slow set that down and you got a perfectly fletched Arrow that's ready for the woods the 3D course or whatever type of shooting you're doing and it puts a beautiful I don't know if you guys can see a beautiful helical on that look at that that thing is uh Beauty last but not least we're gonna do what they call tipping and towing all right we'll try to zoom in here or get closer to the camera we're gonna put a dot at the top and bottom of each vein so we're just going to squeeze this glue here I use the Loctite super glue you use what works for you just put a dot at the top and bottom of each vein all three of them and then we're going to go down here to the bottom same thing put a dot even it out across the vein there you go maybe grab another Q-tip wipe up any excess glue but if you did that Pro tip you shouldn't have too much there's a little bit coming out it's not a lot and there you go it's all built and like I said this Arizona easy Fletch has been my go-to jig lately I really love this thing and like I said if you're tight strapped for time this bad boy will fit the bill so that right there is how I Fletch what the Arizona easy Fletch and then I have my cool serious Arrow drying rack I'll set the arrows all right in there as I build them and then it just stands them up right and they dry easy peasy that's how we get it done Arrow deep Outdoors ladies
