How I Became a P-47 Fighter Ace

I have always seen the p47 as a big and sluggish ground attacker which will have little chance against planes such as the BF 109 I recently took this plane out in air SB and I was positively surprised in this match we will find out if the p47 will actually stand a chance against more known Fighters and perhaps we can learn what tactics to use in order to be successful when flying this chunky lady in this match we're going to assume a fighter role only and therefore we will leave all bombs and Rockets on the ground because raw speed is probably the P 47's greatest asset we'll start by going to the a point which is already up for grabs and we need to capture it as soon as possible in order to win the match and winning the match will give us some bonus SL and RP and that is something I do enjoy however I will be surprised if we don't meet one or two enemy planes there with a similar goal in mind if that is the case we will put the p47 to the [Applause] test okay oh are we risking ah head on here oh okay got a hit looks like he is leaking some oil it's good maybe we can make him stall out here I hope hopefully yes here we go right let's go get some speed okay I think we have him now pulled off unclear what he's doing here we [Applause] go there we go okay good he's on fire all right there we go Yak n after killing the Jack N I continued capturing the a point while doing so I could see a plane coming from the enemy's side on its way into the capture point I decided to follow this unknown plane in case it is an enemy okay looks like uh a wolf oh this going to be a pretty and will be okay good we have crit see what he's doing now okay I think we are safe to engage in here oh okay he's uh spawn out control there should be our kill yeah he's uh he's uh not going to make it okay good so we capture the a point and now was who um the um uh got to use my speed here I should be able to outr run him make some uh rolls just to throw his aim off need cover oh but it sounds like the 9t again sounds like a big c okay he's dead I got pilot sniped good having escaped the yak I decided to head home my fuel was getting too low to comfortably enter more fights and my elevator was damaged so far I had gotten two kills and captured the a point for my team which I am fairly pleased with p47 had also demonstrated its speed by easily outpacing the yak ensuring my survival however I was slightly disappointed with the Damage Done by the 50 Cals even though I have eight of them they don't really have the same punch as a 20 mm [Music] Cannon having arrived late the opponents had just captured the a point however I now found myself in Prime position position pick off the enemies which were now low and slow yeah we have a bit of a dog fight down there and uh no idea what's what but this is probably an enemy move after me 190 probably boom assuming um okay we got a [Music] hit okay we just have to keep our speed here and we'll be safe good think we can safely get 26 now go for another run we go L the planes here see okay we got a crit okay I'm pretty disappointed with this 50 c actually that would have broken the wing off with the 20 mm okay we're going to go in for another attack run surely this time we'll get the kill this gu is PR slow now hits okay this guy is stalling out oh we actually saved it yeah this guy has to be really damaged right now on me attention to the map okay there's a lot of enemies down there okay they're looks like they're chasing one of ours might be able to oh okay I tried to get a quick snapshot on that enemy now we're just going to go go around for another attack round without losing too much speed okay I think we have this 190 now he's super slow we have a good okay good he's on fire and uh attention to the map now we're going to get this guy as well okay good we got his elevator okay so we are fighting a n Jack 9 and the hurricane right now we should be able to outrun them easily that's a hurricane we have to dodge him excellent yeah he should have no chance catching up to us okay we are in a pretty good position here to get the yak oh okay pretty bad aiming right there but I'm not really worried about these two planes I should be able to Boom andum these guys without any trouble okay looks like we have a friendly with us ni shot shot the hurricane hits okay let's see all right this guy you managed to finish both of these guys off got one assist that's okay we are a team after all my team had moments ago captured the new a point and I was on my way back when I saw a Chase unfolding okay looks like we have a couple of friendlies that are chasing an enemy here he looking like he's going for me actually okay let's okay we're Landing up here all right good we got him set on fire and he jumped out good now we're going to get back to our base and refuel the match was proceeding into its deciding moments and the score was close but in our favor I decided to go home as I had only minutes a few left and I needed to be fresh for the end game I was pleased that I managed to get two more kills and an assist in this sorting seeing how dominating the boom assum tactic was with the p47 I was pretty certain that it could become an A in this match as long as they didn't get greedy and entered into unnecessary turn [Music] fights another a point appeared on the map just as I took off and I knew that it was going to be the final Arena where the last battle of this match would take place okay they're cing the point now the enemies had almost captured the a point when I got there the outcome of this match is determined by which team captured that point I could see plenty of what they presume to be enemies down there in order to prevent them from capping I needed to take a few of them out okay let's pick a Target here that one looks like a yak oh it's a 109 okay we'll just uh keep our speed up do a bit of boom and zoing who okay something just put our friendly airplane on fire so we're going to go after this guy looks like a yeah okay we got a crit on him um just see if we can get him here ni it's a bad angle keep our speed up for now effort will be okay here we go I think this is pretty good lining up here nice um this has to be a b 109 oh all right set on fire good yeah that was close we have evened out the a point capping now so um think we got this mostly friendless here now all right I think we are outnumbering our enemies in the point right now ooh what's this is it a 190 excellent got to warn my friends here something coming for them again crit and he is is he going to die all right got an assist good is there anyone else here oh what's that um that has to be a 190 or something or [Music] 109 see if we can catch him here on his boom and zoom nice we got a crit good okay we have a 10 n with us as well so I feel fairly confident [Music] that can turn with him here and we have a p7 as [Music] well let's see if we can finish this guy off he's trying to get away but uh we are quicker more [Music] hits yeah we're not going to be able to take that turn okay good they finished him in the last moments of the match the points unfortunately ticked in our enemy favor and we lost the game I had however found myself a new favorite plane the p47 was a blast to fly and we managed to get six kills and three assists without dying the only issue I had in this match was the effectiveness of the 50 CS adding salt to my wounds the snail decided to tease me by dangling 1 million silver lions in front of me and I totally missed it [Music]
