How Good is Singapore Airlines' Best Business Class?

from one review straight to another I've literally just walked off Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul if you haven't seen that video I'll put the link below definitely worth checking out uh very tired connection here in Singapore I'm flying on to uh Melbourne with Singapore Airlines uh in a beautiful a350 looking forward to that it's in business class join me let's [Music] go my very First Flight when Australia's borders reopened was with Singapore Airlines and I came through Changi uh back then uh life was very different the airport here looks pretty much deserted a lot of the shops were shut uh now it's great to see everything's open this place is buzzing again are you thinking what I'm thinking big one I think I am beat too I think only Australians will get that uh that did appear on a video that I did here with my wife Singapore Ain uh first class sweets on the A380 that was incredible video incredible flight forget the video it was an incredible flight uh I'll put the link below definitely worth checking out we are [Music] boarding hello thank you that's right a t plane um and to your right thank it [Music] wow so in all the rush it turns out that I'm the first business class passenger to board and uh the cabin is still empty the lights are on so I'm getting a really good view on what it is on what this cabin looks like First Impressions wow these seats are incredibly wide the cabin is laid out in a one 121 configuration so all passengers have dirti access where Singapore Airlines differs from most is that the seats are not staggered you sit directly behind the person in front of you and this is one of the reasons why these seats are so wide so as I'm filming the drinks have arrived bubbles really it's the only way to uh to start a flight cheers I told oh yes please thank you these seats are incredibly wide look how much space I've got here uh there's a big pillow next to me uh still more space on this side so really really uh great lot of space now that I'm cheers here still great flight in addition to being very comfortable to sit in these seats had all the mod cons you'd expect including lots of storage [Music] [Music] space with so much space to spread out and a large sturdy tray table they are the perfect business class seat for work on the go the tray table even has a height adjustment sadly though these seats do have one major floor in bed mode but more on that later in the video because now it's time to fasten our seat belts and take to the skies [Applause] [Music] our flight from Singapore to Melbourne tonight will take us just under 7 [Music] hours shortly after take off a drink was served from the bar this Japanese single malt hit the spot it was accompanied by a canop of chicken sé to start the dinner service if Malaysia Airline s is 12 out of 10 this was a very solid 10 out of 10 I could eat these all day long the Singapore Airlines menu and the drinks list in particular was very extensive feel free to pause or to skip ahead as [Music] required [Music] in addition add to the range on board Singapore Airlines also offers their business and first class passengers the ability to pre-order from a large range of dishes through their the cook service there is no Trace service on Singapore Airlines Long Haul business class instead courses are served individually on narumi fine bone china for entree I had the smoked salmon with mango salsa which was delicious equally delicious was the garlic bread for Mains I went with the beef rundung which was full of flavor then the dessert trolley arrived cheese cheese the fruits fruit banana cheesecake as well as a Vana ice cream you know what it looks lovely but I've got to sleep many other passengers went straight to sleep after takeoff selecting to have a lighter meal before arrival in Melbourne the crew make up your bed by folding down the seat back this creates a very flat and comfortable bed for your top half at least there is keeps of width at your shoulders and nice bedding is provided unfortunately though it seems that these beds have been designed for one-legged Pirates the space at your feet is very limited I'll show you without the blanket so it's easier to see it is almost impossible to sleep on your back or stomach with both legs stretched out for reference I'm 181 CM or Touch under 6t tall the only real option is to sleep on your side this does work well but choose your seats carefully if you sleep on your left go for the a or F seats if you sleep on your right side the D and K seats are for you all that said I was exhausted and slept solidly for just over 3 hours Singapore Airlines doesn't hand out amenity kits instead various items are available on request when I awoke I started my day with some healthy Robos tea any health benefits were of course immediately negated by the cookies now's a good time to show you the excellent Singapore Airlines Entertainment System Chris World there are heaps of viewing and listening choices with something for every [Music] taste surprisingly the screen wasn't touchscreen but the remote worked well Wi-Fi is provided free of charge to all business class passengers it is also free for economy passengers who are members of Singapore Airlines Chris flyer program the connectivity was good and I found out that this air Craft's recent destinations had included Melbourne Sydney Frankfurt K Japan and Amsterdam as the cabin started waking up the crew came around several times with trays of juices Singapore Airlines have always been known for their excellent service they just do it so well and this crew was no exception in addition to the juice I gave my batteries a further charge with a final espresso before landing then in the early morning light we started our descent into Melbourne this time lapse of our Landing shows two things one I should have tightened the GoPro Mount and two the almost immediate impact of the weather outside on the Windows I'm not sure why because it wasn't particularly hot or cold outside that was a really nice flight thank you thank you very much that was [Music] lovely welcome back to Australia [Music] that's it made it through customs and uh now I need to head upstairs for my domestic connection uh not too bad actually coming through uh the whole passport control bit was easy there was about a 15 20 minute delay uh longer than it probably should have been for baggage but then Customs was really easy as well uh all in all a good experience happy to be back in uh back in Australia thanks for watching if you
