yeah I'm loving 19 degrees Fahrenheit that is negative 7 Celsius hey there a very quick room tour here two twin beds good Wi-Fi and there is a kitchen outside I will show that on my way out it was a hundred and ten dollars for three nights and so that is about thirty-six bucks per night and then I booked another night in it was for some reason forty-four dollars but anyways I'm going to just get out of here and get out into the cold and start exploring Tollan before it gets too late here it is December 1st so the days are getting very short but I have three layers on here and a one jacket I'm feeling a fairly prepared for the cold so let's get out there and explore tellin the kitchen area and let's see how this cold fuse yeah pretty intense and this is telling it is a relatively short walk over to the old town and so I'm going to head over there and so talent here is really a interesting mix of being new in the old very futuristic looking buildings to contrast with the very spectacular old town some pretty good breakfast prices here at the carmen cafe Carmen's breakfast six years omelettes with seven fillings well five euros eggs and bacon five euros [Music] the restaurants at the old town as to be expected are super expensive I got a pasta for 17 euros my first night here and so you can see basically they use the same letters as the English alphabet with a couple of exceptions [Music] but the Estonian language is very distinct also different from the other Baltic countries and so there is some of the older buildings of the old town up there you are here Talon the Baltic Sea out there and the old town through here and so I'm going to walk over to this little square over here and there's a Christmas Fair going on and so check it out it is just after one o'clock and the Sun is already getting low alright it looks like the Christmas Fair is going in full swing so excellent Wow it's okay to film very cool so what is the idea of the describe our museum and telling that interactive show in real a middle-aged tangent about talents historic we have nine rooms and legends and all this is inside so the museum exists now there's the museum now and it's a replication I think in English Finnish Estonian English you can choose yourself and it's just 40 minutes show and if you want I can ask I see how much does it cost I don't think it's 16 and 17 seniors twelve and so this is what it looks like inside the museum gotcha well it's really and it's like legends of like history yeah I was here the first night that I arrived and the tree was all lit up it was a very classic beautiful Christmas site with all the Christmas lights all right it's nice to see some people around all different kinds of sausages and like salami and stuff hot wine is a three year old 50 I guess it looks like the strong line the spirit of Austria is five euros no alcohol two euros typical wine 350 if I got that right and there are some really nice smells of like not exactly incense with something like that lemon I'd like to go for some hot apple cider lots of tasty treats around here oh yeah I think I might have to do it for one of these [Music] steady working on the dog those are some good-looking sausages well [Music] got some blog here it's like a mix of fruit juices and spices all right perfect cool outfit here these are the kind of hats I need I think too small [Music] [Music] and so we have here some of the history of the area some of the unfortunate history bombing in march 1944 the houses that have been situated here on historical Harju street were destroyed in a soviet air raid the bombing of tallinn began in the evening of 9th march 1944 conducted by approximately 280 military aircraft of the Red Army mostly civilian buildings were affected at least 554 city residents and 171 soldiers and prisoners of war were killed the center of the Estonian capital sustained severe damage with a total of over 5,000 buildings pulverized immediately and so this is what it looked like and then in 1952 Harju Street got its Estonian name from the ancient road leading from Tallinn to Haruma and then onwards to the south to pärnu and Riga in the period from 1945 to 1948 all of the buildings that had suffered in the bombing raid in 1944 and were deemed unsuitable for restoration were demolished and here are some of the original historical buildings of the old town the Maidan maiden tower museum cafe the first mention of the Maidan tower dates back to 1373 this is the only surviving defence tower in talyn's medieval town wall with a rectangular floor plan and an open town side so that is actually referring to that building over there I believe and this one is the key Kenda coke and obviously a Russian style church there United States I am yeah yeah yeah I try to sing you my favorite American rock'n'roll singer not so exactly rock n roll but somehow a singular okay sis John poverty yes [Music] in it is he I remembered TV retail coming down loads of me straight boring confusion on the ground I need no need satisfaction huh that's right that's right that's right that's right sube wow your figure from Tallinn actually I am a recently Russian I was born here for here I see roots in Russia it was very long story Yanis russian school my first my mother was Russian my second language Estonia first maybe English fourth maybe I said it's not a lingual comment the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral from 1900 and so this is the place that I saw before and am curious to see what they got and what the prices are like got some hot wine here looks like almonds on top or something [Music] [Music] [Music] need a passion boat bar people had recommended this [Music] and Christmas lights [Music] [Music] [Music] and so that is the old town up there on that hill and now I'm going to give a little of a taste of the more modern part of Tallinn [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] this is funny India food I guess that means Indian food ants I'm heading back to the Depeche Mode bar to meet up with one of my subscribers mister I'm not sure how much or nub filming but we shall see [Music] [Music] [Applause] that was an interesting place though I'd be curious to kind of know the history of it okay okay and there were just big fans and just decided to go for it huh if you want to have straight this is the street food - north including a Chinese fault follow me no I haven't heard of that the best you can get from is doing nice huh the guys make with the mustaches I see so this is all kind of mailers to see you poster so people have made this poster with peace I see but he's a current politicians I think that people don't really like him I don't want okay these are from my childhood I see these Russian is pink hair ornament is we don't have anymore and so these are probably actually from that era decades ago yeah this is a different guy from the other poster but it's the same thing yeah got the original poster yet in Russia means no I see it's like that's funny that we saw there that one and then we see the original one yeah yeah as a kid and so we've got some pretty epic street art here gonna be a little hard to see but and another one and they'd have restaurants open okay and there's some weird-looking uh what does that like a beer made beer making device or something maybe it's nothing it's just a weird weird art if not to hopping for a Saturday night we go inside maybe inside the courtyard yeah maybe more people there many people in these containers really cool yeah ad special yeah I can imagine this area must be like pretty happening in summer probably yeah yeah oh wow yes presses [Music]
