rumbling the anime community orchestrating the craziest plot twists and designing a main character who has an absurd amount of black air force energy hajime isayama has masterfully crafted a series which has kept moving forward into a territory only a handful of anime have dared to enter attack on zion has become the legendary series it was always destined to be by surpassing all of its competition and in a way that none of you would have ever expected from episode 1 to 87 the series has been filled with unpredictable high quality passionate scenes which amaze you every single time so i want to dissect how attack on time has become such a colossal series and i want to do that by tackling the internet breaking moments as well as the fine meticulous details you might have missed however in order to do this you and i need to head back back to the beginning where this incredible journey began since the beginning ataquantine has always been something special the bizarre eerie atmosphere the unusual yellow tinted drawings the world was a gateway to intriguing's curiosity abnormal looking giants terrifyingly took over your soul hooking you to the show as you desperately wanted to know how exactly will humanity win against these formidable threats aaron's desire for freedom irwin's quest to find the truth and armin's dream to reach the ocean these were powerful reasons to immerse yourself into this unique distinctive world from the very first episode you knew this was going to be an incredible journey and in 2013 it completely took off insane dynamic odium gear scenes titan had flying marco dying deep heartwarming moments and levi believed [ __ ] how to veren isayama created a highly addictive story meaning you were trapped within the walls of this world right from the start characters like mikasa erin and levi effortlessly enchanted you through some beautifully choreographed scenes of action excitement and hype whilst crucial information and details were purposely concealed to keep you mindlessly watching for hours and hours and if it wasn't for wit studios orgasmic animation and hiroyuki sawano's heavenly soundtracks i firmly believe aot would not be as popular as it is today these two parties took isayama's fairly solid premise and transformed it into something that could shatter records however even though season 1 was incredibly enticing and addictive it didn't quite feel complete or refined like sure as much as aaron has dramatically evolved over time at the beginning he was more of a typical shonen mainstream protagonist where he was driven and tenacious towards his goals but had a very simple way of thinking combines with the very limited information we had about the world during the long four year gap between season one and two the level of hype heavily declined so in order to bring back that initial excitement and exuberance the unthinkable needed to happen and it did it was during season two and three where myself and many others truly started to feel passionate and excited for what we were experiencing mysterious timeshifters underground factions political discussions cryptic memories and subtle clues to future events aot began to steadily evolve way past this initial premise for me there were a few episodes in season 2 and 3 which displayed sparks of genius elevating the anime's popularity and completely changing the story forever so i want to dissect those moments in more detail exploring why they were so incredible starting off with [Music] revealing the identity of the armored and the colossal without any build up or suspense but instead in a casual background conversation required massive balls and creativity every single frame was designed to make you feel an emotion you had never felt before the meticulous detail during every second of the transformation the destructive and bold choice of music and the pure passion from the voice actors crafted a perfect scene who would have thought that this irrelevant sideman would turn out to be my man colossal himself however this unpredictability is exactly why you're so glued to every second of aot the fact that anything can happen at any moment keeps you theorizing and guessing this episode displayed and executed the feelings of betrayal shock and confusion expertly but it also kick-started the beginning of rhino's character rainer has been portrayed as a very complex character throughout the entire story to be a warrior or to be a scout morally what is right and what is wrong these questions overloaded reiner's head splitting him into two as he forcefully had to choose a side isayama's characters are not simply one-dimensional or formulaic but are intricately designed like real humans with complex layers of writing zeke aaron grisha gabby and rainer to name a few are all involved in massive controversial debates because of how ambiguous and complex they are where they don't behave according to a specific set of morals but instead act in genuine realistic ways often displaying questionable traits like selfishness betrayal and revenge in this particular scene a lot of you guys probably hated rhino and berthold but i personally felt a sense of admiration for them because i could see how broken and conflicted they were i mean reiner is like the only character who has taken more l's than cali yards himself and you guys know that galliard takes l's but even after these countless failures reiner is still the only person who has consistently opposed and challenged aaron to the bitter end but this scene will always remain special because it is the one that started it all from here onwards attack on titan continued to throw some phenomenal moments straight at your face and the popularity of the show kept on rising levi vs kenny showcased an energetic high octane battle where you witnessed two clever fighters trying to outsmart each other whilst the mesmerizing animation left you in awe then out of nowhere historia became incredibly important yet again showing isiyama's ability to utilize every single character at his disposal and one of my favorite moments in season 3 which is not talked about enough is when aaron realized the meaning of his mother's words he's already special because he was born into this world at first glance this is a very simple scene but in the context of the entire show it's a meaningful revelation that was delivered in a beautiful way shaping aaron's core ideology so as we continue to get closer and closer to the basement the core structure of the world slowly began to crumble the plot kept twisting and turning hidden truths were revealed and eventually we reached the turning point the return to shinganchino arc had many incredible adrenaline pumping moments you and i will never forget it's no wonder that the episode's hero and perfect game are ranked second and third on imdb and in fact just levi's roller coaster fight alone took four months to make everything the anime was building up to came down to this final battle and fam it was insane a red crimson mist of blood devoured your screen as showers of rocks annihilated the scouts showing just how visually appealing this was but the core reason why this arc remains so memorable is of course because of armin and erwin from the beginning armin dreamed to explore the world beyond the walls to reach the ocean irwin on the other hand always marched towards the truth trying to unravel every secret hidden from him no matter how many sacrifices he had to make but in their final moments they both completely gave upon their dreams trusting their friends to carry on living and to fulfill their goals for them where irwin delivered one of the greatest speeches in anime history and challenged the cruelty of the world armin displayed a heart of courage by rising up to humanity's biggest threat during the episode midnight sun there was no music used until the very end of the episode allowing you to immerse yourself into the situation as if you were there with the characters letting you experience raw genuine dialogue without any interruptions so when that legendary soundtrack finally plays out the end armin's moment of elation felt incredibly special however as brutal and horrifying were the first three seasons there was a very common underlying theme in almost every event of the story and that theme was hope phrases like wings of freedom this world is cruel but beautiful one they will break down the wall hiding the truth crafted this false sense of belief and hope for humanity implying that one day they will be free even the style of music strongly represented positivity empowering you and the characters creating these scenes of passion and elation at the end of season 3 the level of hype reached a massive high since it felt like the anime was coming to an end a lot of our questions were answered humanity for the most part gained back their freedom and the titans were no longer a threat however something wasn't right as armin mikosa and the others experienced the calm waves of the vast ocean for the first time tasting a slice of peace living and breathing without worrying about tomorrow aaron on the other hand knew this wasn't the freedom he envisioned and to protect his people he needed to take matters into his own hands a dark curtain of calamity engulfed humanity's fabricated freedom confirming yuri's prediction that in the not too distant future this world will crumble aaron was always portrayed as the hope and savior of humanity where at the court of every obstacle he was the hero he rose to carry them forward but when that painful truth arised when the past present and future merged together when peace could no longer be attained isayama completely changed the complexion of the story and set the anime community on fire the world of attack on time suddenly expanded and evolved racism revenge politics power mysteries every piece of the puzzle began to shift and develop beyond your expectations new characters were introduced new ideas were discussed and erin realized he could style his hair the reason why season 4 of aot is so captivating is because you have no idea where it's headed aaron decided to become a pokemon master collecting titans for fun zeke decided audience didn't need com and gabby went around shooting randoms for fun the art style became a lot more realistic depicting an even darker story the music no longer attempted to boost or elevate your emotions but instead tried to evoke feelings of grief and sorrow whilst you were stunned by scenes of devastation casualty and fear season four expertly highlights isiah's dynamic writing through his ability to connect different plot points together crafting so many interesting parallels dynamics and themes for us to digest historical events are brought to light ideologies of warriors like zeke and gabby are dissected and themes of war are explored slowly adding more and more layers to the story our heroes like armin connie jean and mikasa are reluctantly forced to commit the same detestable actions they once questioned because their entire world view has been shifted by replicating the horrific events of seasons 1-3 but this time displaying them from the perspective of the antagonists you are forced to view every single character from a different angle creating a mental dilemma in your head however one character in particular has propelled aot to the forefront of the anime community by completely revolutionizing what it means to be a main protagonist and that character is of course aaron jaeger from a short-tempered revenge hungry titan thirsty maniac to a cold-hearted menace aaron's incredible evolution has sparked heaps of controversy countless memes and edits have been made heated debates have occurred and now some geniuses even think that eren's the antagonist of the story but the question is why aaron's character is an illustration of naivety because before my man was exposed to the truth he wholeheartedly believed he was unconditionally correct i mean at one point he even said to rhino [Music] but ironically in season 4 erin emotionally assaults rhino commits acts of pure savagery teaches armin a much needed lesson a moment i definitely enjoyed and overturns the odds against the entire world inevitably becoming the monster he always hated so why do people still support his actions why is he still admired and loved since the moment eren's mother was eaten alive you've been a part of this fascinating journey where you have seen aaron rise and fall where you have seen him grow and become stronger and therefore you have also been able to resonate with him no matter what and as heartless and emotionless he may have become you have still been able to understand his true feelings during sasha's death aaron hysterically began to laugh because even though he had access to these godlike titan abilities at his fingertips he still had to helplessly watch his close friend meet her end which is exactly how he felt when harness was brutally eaten in front of him when zeke was about to scream aaron raised his arm in desperation hoping that he would let falco escape the kid he built a bond with during his time in mali aaron still feels empathy he still understands the severity and hypocrisy of what he is doing but he must continue to commit these despicable actions because this is the only way to protect parodies stabbing zeke in the back manipulating the [ __ ] out of his own father and then commencing the literal ends of the world eren yeager has never stopped moving forward never stop fighting breaking his heart into small pieces and in the process has gone from being humanity's greatest hope to humanity's most terrifying threat the events in season 4 part 2 have showcased some of the most jaw-dropping and mind-twisting moments in the history of fiction the visuals have been stunning the music has yet again proven why it's the best and the pro as always has shocked intrigued and amazed us mapper you guys have done all right ec armor has created a genre defining series which has reached a global audience in the most fascinating fashion the rumbling has transcended what any fictional story is capable of doing because it is something no author but isayama has had the balls to do by completely dividing the fan base aot has demonstrated what a realistic and tragic end to a story looks like the insane out of the world storytelling the deep powerful themes the realistic portrayal of characters and the incredible standard of production this anime has the power to inspire and influence many future generations of stories the same way series like naruto berserk hunter hunter and one piece have influenced the stories of today for me attack on titan will always be special as it has taken me on a fascinating journey but i have experienced countless phenomenal moments i will never forget so as we desperately wait for the final part to air let's take a step back to truly appreciate how attack on titan has become legendary [Music] so you
