How And Why To Use LEAD TAPE In Pickleball

today I'm going to teach you how to properly use lead tape lead tape is something people get really confused about so I'm going to answer the three most frequently asked questions and then I'm going to show you my personal lead tape setup [Music] first frequently Asked question is what does lead tape actually do you see a lot of Pros using it but there's a lot of confusion around how it actually benefits you so simple answer is it makes your paddle heavier and because your paddle is heavier it's going to give you more power you look at the equation Force equals mass times acceleration if you want to get technical about it but a simple answer makes it more powerful and it will also absorb more impact from the ball giving you a slightly dampened feel as you hit it second most asked question is where should I put my lead tape so short answer to that is wherever you put the lead tape on your paddle it's going to kind of stretch The Sweet Spot in that direction so if you put it on the top edges it'll kind of bump your sweet spot up a little bit towards that top Edge anywhere you place the lead tape is going to affect the stability and balance of the paddle so if you put it near the top the paddle may feel a lot more head heavy if it's at the bottom it may give you a more balanced feel but I think the most important thing to figure it out where you want to put the lead tape is experimenting put it in different places and play with it and see what feels the best to you the last question is how much lead tape should I use again that comes down to the individual if you put on too much lead tape you may struggle with hand speed you may lose hand speed if you put too little on you might struggle to put away the boss you might get less power so again I think starting with a little bit and working your way up until you get to a level where you're like this is too much weight and then taper off some I think that's the ideal way to find out how much lead tape you should put on your paddle [Music] thank you [Music] if you like this video give us a like subscribe to the pickle Channel and we are selling these pickle paddle weights you can buy them in three gram strips and they make it super easy to place them anywhere on your paddle you can take them on and back off again and just really find out what works best for you foreign
