HOW AND WHEN TO BORE CUT, FALLING TREES

Hey feeling good hey I hope so I hope you're doing good we're just doing a little scrub on the Mac here tailgate shoulders we've got a little project to do for this place that we're out here they want some benches so Doug's got his mill here and we're just we're just putting an edge on this old Mac if we've run the skills on this big jump but the Mac hasn't run yet so we're gonna run the map so it's been it's been rocked so we're gonna get it squared away oh wow look at that only cow that to saw was gone that's amazing wow that is crazy look at that interesting so friends at last I've got two more well you don't feel be seeing it by them so I won't even bother talking about it right yeah you got something if you tuck your sani and you'll be warmer oh yeah throw that on then this Danny oh you'd be loving life with that hey how you doing boy how's it going my friends he's showing what we got here Hogan chunk of hickory here's what they're trying to do is get the machinery into the field doesn't make it hey the field and farm the field but it's down hanging out over the road so we're gonna Niall ate this one a couple others come to the closest a mile away there so we talk that's way better you get their back cutting in yeah you know what they're like that's right yeah so we thought we'd run the Mac friends because we've been on the stills on that big tree coccyx there's something missing there I let it be dogs so let's see what we've got here I'll probably bore cut this so I want you read it on the cut something you're doing the bore on this we're gonna bore it where a boar comes in handy huh trees leaning out hard hard hard you better get on this thing like you never been on nothing before near Darla you lay on that sucker it's our undercut I can take a little off here but I'm not gonna have to because I created this it'll be fine I can clean it out but it's going to be fine so I'm bored I'll eat a little bit more wood right there then I'll go out it going to be for milling if it is you want to take extra care and you're bucking because you don't want any peel add your pull it in so just take your time watch that curve like crazy you don't know which way the kerf and the compression tension is just watch your curve soon as it starts to pinch go underneath get break it open break it open all the way along and then you kind of work your way to it that worked out really nice just strong that the wood is down here that's a nice looking stuff good I'll clean it up okay friends hi everybody I hope you're doing well we're having such a good time here with decal and his buddies my boy I'm just my heart couldn't be fuller right now I'm not kidding you this is incredible times for us right now me and my son and hang on a decal and just amazing stuff's going on we're having such a good time now that that's out of the way we got we got hit cream this is right on the road decals got his mill down there Hogan's he see everywhere man right now he's helping everybody out the mill he's helping me he's doing the whole gamut kind of like a swamp right now grown man extraordinaire decals even got lights flashing on the wood Visor kinda the same to self in the town here so anyway friends II got this feelin here they're gonna they're gonna start farming the field but they can't get in instead of going way up the driveway around so we're gonna open this up we were gonna take this this big one but it would just be awful it would be a terrible terrible mess in here if we decided to take this big log it doesn't make no sense you'll create work dead hangars in this guy not good so we're gonna grab these two this one here we're gonna send right down the same hole is that last one I board cut but we're in an interesting spot you guys hear me talk about being on the high side and the low side of the tree well this tree here goes up and it takes off out there there's the crown up there so I'm gonna utilize crown weight not stem weight you look at the stem you think oh it's leaning up the driveway I'll put it up the driveway well if you don't take the extra time and look you'll realize it'll go so far and it'll bust off get hung in that it'll be just terrible I'm gonna use the crown weight and throw it down this this path but unfortunately I can't really get a bat cut in this thing and I want to utilize as much wood as I can cuz I won't be able to get my back get in I might be able to open I don't wanna well we'll see I'll put an undercut maybe on this side then I'll see if I can up give the camera to hold it now nobody field oh yeah I know [Applause] [Applause] - hungry in the rakers Boris you [Applause] hey friends we're back listen you guys probably saw the cut there so this is the Mac it's a hard to hard tail there's no mounts to this thing so it's hard so when you heard when you were hungry so what is that Jerry yeah chair it's cherry choke cherry a little bit and it is freaking solid as a rock reason the Mac on it well the thing was cotton good before but I just wanted a little more pull and I made the mistake cuz we got no raker gauge right now we don't know where it is so I took a touch more off the rakers well guess what it done you saw what it done I couldn't bore with it it was kicking out on the bore so if you ever get into a situation like that the only thing you could do is swap out chains or make the tooth just file a chain even though it's sharp just file it so that's what we're doing we're just we're just shortening up on the tooth maybe lose a little bit of gullet to get that tooth back to smooth out the cops I didn't have to bore but if I could have board on that last cut I wouldn't been able to go in but I couldn't bore it was too aggressive so you don't want a real aggressive chain is it's a beautiful pristine property here does five stars tell them oh yeah Union Michigan and and it's decals on the board here and it's a beautiful program front it's a five-star program and it's it's for kids and it's amazing what they have up here it is just an amazing thing so I'm actually honored to even be here helping out on this program we're making some beautiful benches for everybody to sit on up there but we're using their own wood on the property which is so cool oh yeah it's gonna be all you so decals gonna jump in the machine and what we've got friends is the plan was to send this one up the road but I don't see the point when we got the little machine with us see it's this Hickory here pig bark or whatever they call it but it's leaning it hard up up the way here hike right up the hill I'll get a heads it's going up the driveway but there's no point when you got muscle imagine the cleanup he'd have on the road up here probably bust out that mulberry bush while it would bust it out we're going in the same hole we're just gonna ship it in the same hole I'll give it back to Hogan I'll start on the cot will get decal on a dry run just keep running that rate through now oh yeah I'll be on the low side I'll get dougie to come in and do a dry run to watch him set up everything yeah nothing like an old mechanical wedge that's exactly what it is son it's a
