I think I think my mom's been here the entire time that's why we called the first album the end I remember sitting in that hospital room with me telling me to do nothing but spread love and hope into this world and be there for other people and and and try to do something to mean something to you no matter what I think I think her hand has been behind this entire thing and she introduced me to Rosie and Leo and Vasquez and all the people that are recorded the N with and we had that way that Airbnb out in Florida and we thought it was going to be nothing and we thought it was gonna be absolutely garbage and we released that music with the expectations that we would be content with the times what we had and having fun doing it and getting drunk doing it just having a blast that's the opposite of what it was it was those five kids finding hoping each other and maybe becoming something together and I kind of want to give that hope to everyone else and let everyone else know that they can do that too and I remember when I was in Pineville Kentucky I had released this album with some five kids it just or nothing and there were 600 people screaming the lyrics too sweet the end and I'll never forget it because I think 600 people screaming someone that you lost it's meaningful to anybody and that's why I kind of wanted to keep putting music out and keep writing music for people because maybe someone else can find hope in it and maybe they can think that they can get with their five buddies and do something that means something to them and that's kind of what I want this music to be add I just want it to bring people together and improve the people that maybe there's maybe they're still hoping the world [Music] softness in you boys even mines me back home sing you all the songs in a row when I go out drinking with all shameless friends I've been having trouble Jews find hope [Music] which you got me please do you gave or shape on me me Thursday's work found my hope [Music] okay one last course and you're gonna hit it hard I'm talking I want fireworks [Music] sweet girl toffee Lockwood don't tell her missing home of the moment I'm with you only is wrong and Northwest : winner it'll change to your core I have never died rose but of singing heaven before [Music] hey everybody hey everyone welcome to the recording of the album that we can't say the name over front of Rosie because we're busy standing in the bar yes I've never actually done anything like this where you have to like record stuff baby hey hey when I'm at any picture the only thing it ever gets is my chin you know [Music] [Laughter] [Music] so we we recorded an album it was called the an and then we wrote and recorded a bunch of songs and people enjoy - my guess and and then I came back to Washington and we moved into a house and that's where we're at now and there's guy know named Vasquez he put a bunch of wooden boards on some walls and he wanted to build this place up real nice for us so we could record an album in there and then we'll record another album it's called Elizabeth so the plan here is to see if we can make a studio and a barn in the back of the house and we don't know who's gonna work out go round to our best and this is the one we're going to try our best to use is the start of it we think horses won't hear it's them actually horses we're in there recently [Music] settle up we're going in is all we got so far yeah so we're I think we're gonna we go in there and then you're on set right here do we should go [Music] and we're going so for the next album do you want to say hi okay well hello you guys we're gonna finish doing this I'm gonna call you back I'm going back back look at you this is the start of what it looks like to a forward before the album in its bright looks similar to this one we're recording out but hopeful isn't it I think I don't know what it's gonna be I'm just saying that in my head so my name is Adam Vasquez Adam Lee Vasquez that kisses we got you go to when you want anything done you guys think I gotta kill someone for you Billy okay I think with any group there's always a guy that liked someone says something that I oh how are we gonna do that or can you do this what can we do that or what do you guys think about this it's like to make it make it happen guy and I think I was gonna make it happen guy simple things like hey how you gonna get this done I'm like all right we should do this or like oh how are we gonna do that like let me do it let me figure it out real quick so while they're focused on something else I'm over you're trying to figure out just put things together and make it happen man you'll tell him you want to build a chicken coop and I'll give you a boob press for he's like okay here's how we're gonna do it out of the kindness of his heart because to Vasquez is and he's fucking hilarious when he does it - I cannot believe that guy he came over for a dinner party that we had with a sound engineer that Zachary was potentially working with and he lives in Nashville and apparently he records a bunch of music and he was telling us about all these people he's recorded with all these amazing artists like he unfortunately was affected by the tornadoes that went through Nashville and then he tells us this like horrific story about how his house house was torn up by a tornado ripped to shreds he showed us much pictures he told us how he literally saved his wife's life and at this time the barn was still being constructed it was not in the state that it is now had nothing that made sense the boards were all like angled in like all the all the phone we used to like maybe muffle the sound a little bit was all over the floor and and at this point Vasquez said well if that's the state of your house then you'll feel right at home in the studio I don't know when I say something I don't finish the sentence or maybe I just don't I don't know don't think it all the way through y'all so funny it's none of my life hands down we did not stop laughing she did [Music] stop I can't lose another girlfriends act after the end you know is it's out all these things are happening we actually decided in January I want to say it was to start looking for a house we wanted to record another album we had no idea where we were gonna do it and then I moved into this house and I had a ball in the back and told Vasquez and Rosie hey guys why don't we just make this a studio he was talking about this album he's like look i wanna i want this album to be real just like the last one come from the heart and he sent me a text message like boys this we're all gonna work out of and he sends me a picture on my what the hell is that like are we working we're like the horses took shits at or like soon as i told that he sort of bring me plans and he's like hey man we could just do this and okay so that's cuz i got here what are you doing dude i just drop the layout of the barn it's chicken scratch but what's it for this is to get measurements so we can build the installed insulation and the soundproofing and just hopefully get the studio ready oh yeah but have a good time yeah where you cut off this weekend with it's 1619 to Tuesday the 25th how long you got to do it yeah I get here in this this place is just destroyed there's like I mean like horse shit maybe bird shit rat shit for sure I look at it and I'm like no dude we can do this and we can do this oh we can move this around we can break this down and move this and and we started working up so he started working on putting up the wood the insulation we I started helping on the other side and then we started moving some wood and I cannot believe out how well the sound turned out because we took about 400 trips to Home Depot with some kids who had no idea what was going on that one's perfect just like the fakie boys yeah we're good not even close alright now we gotta go - I think it's aisle 12 which is I was thinking about getting this bro whatever you think would work is what will get man you feel like this is confusing the arrow mm-hm so I feel when you guys talk about like Navy stuff and start throwing in like shit mate somebody said app the other day and I was like so it's important starboard use it started having panic attacks - two - my question is do you have a plan basket I do it's in there somewhere it's in a file cabinet under Studio this anything else you guys can think of maybe more rugs excuse us if someone else asked us why we got so many drugs just be like but when you kill a body and roll it up in a rug flat quicker yeah leaner quicker and just speeds the process building the studio was like a lot of hard work and it took about two weeks and took a lot of patience and it didn't make any sense because none of us are carpenters but we we did okay I think we put the studio together and I hate to sound generic here but nail by nail and the Vasquez was here every day for work and I was here every day after work and we just kind of did what we could I think it's all anyone can ask of us [Music] the boys we've got rise Roselyn armies he will get the last laugh it's last thing evening he used to roll around narrator now he's skipping town [Music] going south cuz I'll let you claim you build and lounge down hidden hidden cell they won't stand there falling from your mouth if I if I get a specialist poisoning before the album happens just know that it's because of the walls I'm trying to put up in this studio we decided to build for it but I'm really excited for this to be something special I'm when Hermes we mentioned or oh I'm sorry oh no I'm younger than my will here [Music] [Music] working on that song been dancing so actually funny story one day like for some reason I felt like everybody wanted to know list of my favorite songs so I got on Twitter and I posted this list of like my top 30 favorites and I think he didn't even follow me at the time but like someone had liked it so it showed up on his timeline he was like hey man I like his style we should take it sometime I met jr. the week after my mom passed away and I took a road trip I took a road trip to Oklahoma cuz I need to clear my head I got to my house and I saw this old boy who posted a video on a social media site and it was him and I couldn't believe it I heard I heard the word that he was singing and I was like man that guy like I really can't sing and then I didn't even think about it I wasn't worried about it and then I got home and I was listening to David Brothers all the way home and he likes David Brothers so I called my buddy Caleb up Caleb you think he's also one of my best friends in the entire world most trustworthy beautiful people I've ever met and Caleb's like damn hanging out this kid named jr. the first time they ever hung out he came together like nine o'clock and we hung out and played music and talked until 4:00 we all sing the song called the weight of lies by the avett brothers and we all covered it and I could not believe how beautiful that kid's voice was and I mean it to this day when he starts singing I cannot believe how beautiful his voices and I want people to hear he's been my best friend for a long time because he's one of the most loving caring people I've ever met and I want to surround myself with people like that and his his hope and like the people around him means a lot to me because I've written songs before and I've sent them to him and I'm like are these good and he's like yeah dude they're amazing and I just didn't believe him because I was before anyone kind of believed in me he's probably the main person that kind of drove me to be so musically charged and musically we going to where are we going to go buy herbs go pick up a piano for it it out when do we record a little slow down coup stick version damn it's a little bit she needs it we flew gr out here and he was like dude what am I doing here and I was like playing piano singing dude doing whatever you want to do we get him in there and there was no piano there was no instruments he's like you want me to sing and I was like yeah he filmed me out here just to sing and I was like okay man you want a piano dude we'll get you a piano and then I listened to the track Donna by the Lumineers just breaks into the piano and I was like do that whatever that is just do that and he's like I would but I don't have a piano okay so did I get on Facebook marketplace I'm searching I'm like where's the piano and I see this one that says free and I'm like it's a free piano it was make any sense what's wrong with it hey yeah yes sir hey do brother I'm a little bit terrified them where we are yeah boo knees are washed into uh what we grabbing out of here in the piano and maybe kid eight RVs we're not sure which one the pianos in maybe that was it let's head sorry how you feeling man I'm a little uncomfortable I feel I feel like we could die I feel like it's gonna be more oh there she is there she is though I hear you guys are givin up free pianos oh that's beautiful I don't mean to be arrogant but that's incredibly up perfect that's necessity necessity shoutout u-haul shoutout you hole [Music] [Music] [Applause] well you set it up to your knees I'm ready for war and you ready yeah okay okay boom I'm not laughing at you Oh Frank's awesome to watch oh my god how's your back did never want la jeune ramp I'm Kingdom honking and on how hard is on me nope you can tell me that you love me too little long sorry I'm always wrong when I follow the girls walk downtown and lots of stars that fell to earth they like the veins in my arms story boys they always tell me my words get them but they can tell how much I mean fuck everything that she goes on to tell us like two hours what the story is we just sit on her porch and listen to her tell us about her husband and her sister played the piano and now her her her great-aunt played the piano and how her great-aunt passed down to her sister and how all these hymnals were played on it and how how much the piano means to her and that she can't play it and she just wants it to go somewhere where it'll mean something to somebody and then I looked at her before we left after hearing her tell the stories and she said did the piano right for us please and then me and you I kinda felt a responsibility to bring the piano here and play this album on it and it might not mean that much to anyone else but it means that much to me and jr. and that's all it matters to me [Music] it's immediate so here's a piano we got from one of the most beautiful women I've ever met in my entire life inside and out about as pretty as Rosie not as pretty but about ass about a house oh boy just oh shit Tony you sneaky auntie I totally make beautiful music with God man we should really get some rest Bros teaches we are nice and strapped out there strapped up get clapped up we're gonna bring this piano in with nothing but the strength barbacks and the faith in these straps are far call it a color win for the Oklahoma boys yeah take it be proud of it man you guys do not want to know what just uh took place trying to get this thing in here [Music] [Music] but most be strength I most closely [Music] you drink all night talk about lures lie [Music] who say thanks for taking care of baby both can't be here and hug it in your little lungs early oh yeah on you Thanks this song is playing and I never want to leave this moment and the way I feel right now is where I always want to be that's beautiful I don't know if you guys really have beautiful that is by sweating and what's that last one is you're playing four chords sorry brother we love you dude I'll play together you guys got tell me where the keys [Music] okay we're fine okay love your brother hey love you guys so much what is my name my name is Chris an teen Chris our work with me like a long time ago and we were in Jacksonville together now I didn't really know the guy but I started talking to him and I was like man I like your style it's it started with we were in Jacksonville we were all there for work and we had each other on Facebook one day I saw some of his songs being record that he posted up and I started talking with him chat with him told me a man said some guys invited me over for dinner you know record some songs and that kind of got his foot in the door and he that night he brought home a CD with I want to say six seven tracks off of Deanne and he he calls me like three in the morning I think and says Chris is there a CD player in your car like yeah man there's a CD player in my car he's like I need to come listen to this right now said he drove home in one of our work vans that didn't have a CD player in it and it was eating out him to hear it so we play it and as soon as he was done we both lose each other we're like men this is great but we could do this better we could do this with more feeling more passion more us not what somebody else wants me to sound like and that's not Zach he doesn't want somebody else's take on his music he wants his take on the music and next thing you know he's calling me that same weekend said and then I figured like hey if we're gonna record this album maybe you'd like to be a part of it so he comes out and he's just wrecked beyond belief and I walk in there to leo Adam and Zach setting up mattresses and pillows in a living room of this Airbnb recording DeeAnn ever since then we've been like best friends well we need this so Leo is a man of few words not of many and I really like that about him because when he does speak and what he does have to say is very impactful and important and I appreciate when he does speak because he doesn't do it often the chile's guy you will ever meet I met him and he believes in you more than anyone could ever believe in you and when I showed him these songs he's like hey I can record something for you and I was like okay super down-to-earth and a wizard behind the keyboard don't know how he makes both of us or anybody for that matter that has a part in this project sound the way we do but he does it with ease to say the least I had no idea that kid was gonna change my life so much and he is the most loyal amazing kind hearted person that I've ever met and the way he smiles at you when he smiles because he never smiles he's the quietest guy to when he smiles at you that's when you know you did something right incredible how he can make you feel I can't express how much I mean I don't like guys been to me hello leo what are you doing brother living your life [Music] fuck [Music] [Music] [Music] sustained [Music] well once in postcard from the engine place I'm nervous [Music] and wanna make love heart on Stars and back beat up okay ten and one love girl who doesn't worry about pictures movie kids when the holding call that shit if you [Music] some Ouyang Cosby any girl [Music] yeah I'm looking at God's feet [Music] once your own it's a mountain Louie has I Drive this hill damn town life [Music] jung-yoon ago speak only God I feel [Applause] [Music] I don't wanna die alone man that stuff stories me know my whole friends [Music] tell me that dawn speak only golly my mom know what I need not feeling the Harlow [Music] nothing's fast [Music] [Applause] my favorite song off of Dan is don't give up on me kind of parallels with our relationship very closely which is a little bit weird because we didn't know each other at the time that he wrote the song but everything that takes place in that song is something that we have experienced in our lives and it's just something that we hold very close to her heart cuz literally when he was recording Deann he's like a yard away from me and I'm taking photos so I get to hear this whole album go down three feet away from him and flying or crying was the one shivers down my spine I love that one it has a lot to do with how my wife and I met and Octobers around the time I deployed so I you know we were laying down and that's like that the pillow talk is when but flying or crying it was just like caught my attention and I just loved it I just loved it Oh easy Godspeed I'm sorry I'm supposed to hold on okay yeah what is my favorite track of DeeAnn that spoke to me the most that's an easy one Godspeed I begged him to put that on the album it almost didn't go on and I convinced him that it needed to go on Godspeed almost didn't make it on the album because I didn't have like a last verse for it and if he looks me as like it's got to be on the album so I sat down and I wrote the last verse - god speed right there in front of Alba and Chris and all those guys I just wrote down the last verse - God speed we recorded it and it turned into something that people kind of cling to so it's pretty cool [Music] fakes bad things not swear we won't come back I think the writing on Elizabeth was more was more directed towards me wanting to be a better songwriter and I wrote a song called mine for Rosie I wrote a lot of fun songs on this album - we wrote me and mine revival means a lot to me because I wrote that when I was legitimately sitting around a table with my friends and I thought about it and I was like gathered here and we can talk about all of our issues all the things we've done and like tell stories with each other and maybe breathe a little bit of life into each other and that's what we're Bible is about is a bunch of guys just getting together and enjoying the moment they're in I just started singing it and I I remember when I for when I first strummed that first chord gather around these tables boys and everyone was kinda in the studio and I said Johnny [Music] there's fire burning in the basement not only so for you [Music] freeze my Ola if you felt once all the way you have given know where hope is hard fun [Music] hey man good I love him when your mind you are so angry when you are mine this world num Pony things since you are mine Oh take me da right now with no qualms or questioning something else when you love somebody you're seeing a song about them and then they're saying it with you unbelievable but her voice is just amazing and I love him more than anything in the world so listen to her listening to her on those tracks is unbelievable it feels like I have known him for my whole life and that I've never met someone who seems like they were so perfectly crafted to complement everything that I'm lacking I am just grateful that's really the only way I can express it I'm so excited for our future and I'm very excited that everyone gets to be a part of that and get to be kind of on the inside and get to see our stories and develop a relationship with us personally and get to kind of see our relationship from the outside in [Music] like you'd go play tattoos raspy horse and she had to motorcycle she likes holding tight to you [Music] Oh [Music] with your stories of shake all the reason see one have your night if you love that girl they see you set her [Music] the darkness things in life [Music] you ever have like feelings of you you really cannot express you cannot express because are too hard to say that's what it is man that's what that's what a song is are like some fucking panels you build or like whatever and that's weird to me it's like the wavelengths in your head that don't understand what you're looking at or how you're feeling music her paintings are like certain colors or sudden hues on a sunset they're like and I should interpret it in a way you can understand and express other people and that's insane dude if you think if you really think about that really think about that note it's really interesting and I've never really met anyone that can write the way that he does it's not really just a hobby for him this is a very emotional and vulnerable place that he is allowing us to be exposed to when he is being gracious and sharing those with everyone and everyone is being equally as receptive with taking them in what's the handle for us [Music] all this has been for the N and always will be for Dan but it's also for my best friends Leo he he sits there every time recording a song and he tells me it sounds good and I gonna ask him if it really sounds good and Rosie's looking at me always and she let me know that the music that I'm putting out sounds good and Vasquez will come in and take some matches and put them on a wall and support me through it and Chris will come in and play some drums and tell me how good the songs are and I just never believe it that I'm surrounded by such family I hope people know Mike my goal in this life has been met and everything that I've ever worn in this life has come true and anything beyond this it's just it's just extra on top of it I wish I wish at one point my mom could just meet them maybe say thank you probably done for me her son and how much they've like saved me from myself there's good guys my best friend the Intel forget say anything I want to about making this out and be for the kid sitting in his room playing guitar that you can do whatever he wants he'll take care of them you just keep on staying now [Music] [Music] how do I make you fun lonely now would I let you know I care and how would I say that the man you land with not the man should be laying there how would a boy like me put it man with some sense probably wouldn't I don't give a damn I'm not a smart man I'm gonna say some words I should I had a dream mouse phone maybe that's fucked up metaphor baby just means when I meet you in my dreams nothing stops me food going through now I know all the bad things about you as the thinking periods to our kind we'll be long we never find in a theorem [Music] so I guess our love from while you dancing with Chalmers in room [Music] I'll sneak out the door I have time for just let the loss look just let the lost love very cool thank you for coming
