Honduras BAY ISLANDS. ROATAN or UTILA - Which one to choose?

[Music] welcome to the honduras bay islands roatan and [Applause] [Music] utila the bay islands can be reached by plane or boat from the port of la zaibai which is how we are getting there from la silva it's about an hour with a boat to rawatan and even though you have the most beautiful views over piko bonito we soon had to find ways to avoid seasickness we are on roatan from the port you get a taxi to whichever part of the island you are staying and a taxi is definitely necessary as the island is over 70 kilometers in length right after checking in in our beautiful hotel we are off to explore west bay west bay is the most famous and touristy part of ruratan with idiotic tourist prizes for everything and beautiful beaches [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] as west bay was way too much for us we went over to west end west end also has beautiful beaches but is way less busy and has a lot more affordable though still not cheap options there are a ton of bars and restaurants along the main road in west end and we ended up with a yummy pizza and a beautiful sunset two three [Music] [Music] one boy [Music] we will probably not have been able to stay in row 10 if it wasn't for a collaboration with this amazing eco resort so we are here to work in exchange for two experience videos one for their hotel and one for their restaurant we are able to spend an amazing five days here [Music] foreign [Music] okay but luckily apart from work there is also time to enjoy and explore this beautiful island [Music] [Music] [Music] uh it's not easy to get around here it's very big island and there are several places where you can find and do stuff and we're in sunny bay but we just went closer to west end to buy some bread and there's one road on robotan um which is useful if you have a car but our car is back at messiah like on mainland so we are walking on this quite dangerous road where there is only cars but we decided to try to walk and we understand why there's not a lot of people walking [Music] so [Music] after the most amazing days it is time for us to leave rotan the weather is sad with us leaving too apparently this isn't a problem for the boat though as we are off to utila this time we came prepared with seasickness pills [Music] there is a lot of rain today but the next morning looks good [Music] we are on utila to learn how to dive and we are looking fabulous doing it the island of utila is mostly about diving and enjoying beautiful sunsets [Music] [Music] [Music] woof [Music] there is more to this island though an hour hike away from the village you can find pumpkin hill this is a really nice hill with a watchtower on top to get a 360 view of the island [Music] it's not big [Music] [Music] oh [Laughter] [Music] [Applause] utila is a caribbean island with no cars and therefore has different vibes than the mainland of honduras interestingly rotan is mostly visited by cruise ships and american travelers utila has more of a laid back vibe and you'll find mostly backpackers and european travelers here both islands are mainly inhabited by garifuna people who speak english [Music] so what did you think do you have a favorite island let us know [Music] you
