[Music] [Music] wow [Music] so [Music] hello my name is rudy uh i drive a 1993 honda civic hatchback si model i've owned the car close to three years now i've uh i've always been in the car since i was very young 10 years old the thing was when i really started getting into cars um it was but then it was just more so the lamborghinis porsches more the exotic cars you know as as most childhood uh as most childhood growing up it was always more the exotic cars it wasn't until i hit high school is when i got more into the imports and i got in a hondas because my older brother he ended up getting a 95 honda civic hatchback actually that's the whole reason why i actually fell in love with this chassis and it's 1998 is this was about 1996 97 is when my brother actually got this honda so uh the 95 civic was still fairly new it was a used you know it was still a fairly new car it was a new car so um fast forward to 99 i end up getting a mitsubishi eclipse because i was just i was in love with how that how that chassis looked at the at the time and comes back and um around this time you know swapping motors into into these chassis wasn't uh it wasn't as big or uh it wasn't as common as it was as it is today and he had swapped a del sol b16a into his car and i had no idea you know i mean i was i was mitsubishi all the way and he takes me for a ride in it and i couldn't i couldn't believe it i was instantly hooked and uh ever since then i always told myself i was gonna get in get into a honda and uh believe it or not my uh you know my first honda was was actually a honda crx it was a 91 honda crx i had you know gotten rid of the mitsubishi eclipse which you know now that i think about it i should have never done because they're just so rare now but my first honda was a honda crx and um i remember you know my brother coming by and i would work on the car with him and stuff like that and uh i was in love with that little crx you know it you know it wasn't fast by any means but it was just it was a fun little car even with the single cam engine and it was a fun little car that was my very first honda uh fast forward to 2004 i picked up my first eg my first eg hatch it was uh the color was called saffron pearl metallic it came off of a volvo and it had already had a b16a swap in it and i just i absolutely fell in love with that car and ever since ever since owning that car i was like you know what the eg chassis is it's my chassis [Music] so [Music] what's up guys my name is mike kadimi um mike j i got my g um this is my tank right here it's my 92 honda civic cx called the eg6 tank and we're doing a story today man on eg documentary so it's pretty exciting man thank you for having me here bro appreciate it i'm actually really grateful to be part of this you know documentary stuff so it's exciting man okay um what got me to cars was like it was just kind of like a something i just always like thought about you know like whenever he's when i was a little kid i used to always drive around the streets and just i used to play a game with my brother you know like oh this is this car that's car so whenever you sell like a certain car we have to yell it out like if i would see a bug and be like it's a bug right here you know if i see like a honda i said honda you know let's name out the cars name of the cars you know so that's how i kind of got me into the cars and i started noticing different type of cars old mercedes and benzes and you know just a different style of cars i never had like when i was a kid i never had a particular car like i was always obsessed with i was i just loved cars man i was just like always interested in what they're all about you know even though i wasn't even old enough to drive them yet i just knew at that young age already i just it was something i was really passionate about you know i was really into first car i ever got was um i was in i was like pretty much like senior high school was about to graduate and stuff and then my mom had a 1986 dodge cult it was like a gold sedan um it was her first car ever it was a special car man you know my mom had it for all those years and then it was going to get handed down to me you know it wasn't like the car that you know i you know because back then i was like so into the hondas and stuff the crx's and you know because that the d.a just came out the 1992-93 gsr so i was like all excited about that but you know we didn't have the money for all that stuff you know so i was already grateful just for having a car you know it's a big deal man you know so me being the type of person i am i can't leave nothing alone the first thing i did was um take it down to this one shop it was a place i actually built low riders so that they were like dude they would do like hydraulics and all that stuff but i drove over there and i hit him up and he was super cool dude and i was like yo man like what can't we do this car to lauren you know he's like well we got two options we can heat the springs that was one of the options people used it a lot back in that was like kind of like a common thing to do or we can just cut them and i was like all right let's do it man so let's just cut the springs you sure you want to do this i was like yeah man because there was no much support back then you know i can go to store and buy like a lower springs for that car so um he ejected the car to the suspension now we cut the springs and then we just do it i just dumped it down to the ground and it just looks so good it's just so crazy when you think about it just just by lowering a car it just changes the whole perspective of how that car looks you know and this is from that point man i just snowballed man um and the next day i took it to the muffler shop and then we we put on a back then there was like um ultraflow was like one of the most famous ones so like we went to i put a muffler shop was like a local muffler shop in bonapa park and then we put the ultraflow exhaust on it it sounded so good but still wasn't loud enough so one day um me one of me and one of my boys um were just we had a car parked in front of his house and i was like dude you know what dude let's just let's just gut out the cat dude so we just jacked up the car i went underneath it and it took the catalytic converter off and we just started like i started smashing it down with the hammer and the screwdriver got the whole thing out got everything out and the car just sounded so much better man mind you this thing was automatic too bro so it wasn't like you know i mean it wasn't manual so it was like my first car was automatic but i was just doing anything i could just to get it you know pimped out and then then i got the windows tented out then back then the systems were huge so like i put like a box back there and got an amp and then back then i had to pull out radio that she was g bro like no one had that so like back then it was like you didn't want to leave your radios in your car because cars used to get jacked everywhere bro so like first thing i did was i'm gonna buy a pullout radio bro so you just pop it in you pull it out like a little handle on it so you just don't mind you go to school and stuff i just throw in my backpack and i think it was like just just chilling in the parking lot you know first time i saw civic eg was um was actually like when i when i my first week of um going to cyprus college yeah so this is like around 1993 or so yeah so it was like somewhere around there um there was this dude man had like a had like a black eg that was like he was we always park always in the front front of the school and and this car was already i mean the car was barely even out man it was like probably like a really new chassis you know and this dude already had it like fully done up man like had the um had the sparkle wheels on it already had a roll bar in it i mean like he all the like the stuff that we used to look at flipping through magazines i don't know dude this dude like just supposed to have like the super freaking connect on this so because i had like all the stuff that we used to flip through magazine all the stuff that we always dreamt of having this was on this car where it was insane so i mean like i remember just walking up to that car i'm like damn this car is just sick bro i just like fell in love bro i couldn't stop staring at it what appealed to you the first like what was it just the shape of it man like you know like because before that a lot of the cars were like really boxy and they had like a lot of score edges and all that and then when that car came out it was like really just i like a lot of the round edges and around corners and the car was just like really it was like like a bubble you know and we just wasn't really used to that kind of type of look because most of the cars before that were like really like box shaped you know there were sharp edges so and just like just by looking at it you're like dude this car has this is it but this the car has the mat potential of just being a full track race car you know it was sick and that's exactly how this guy had a dump you know so it was exciting to see that man because i never seen anything like that [Music] before [Music] so my name is jerry guzman i'm also known as jerry built racing um i've been building hondas and racing them for about 20 years you know i started uh racing in about 1994 and then um i had a an accord then that i put a prelude motor in and i was racing that for a good little while so i got the the eg i got the eg in about two thousand so it's the same eg i've had since then so i've been racing this ever since about 2000. how'd you get into cars um well my dad paints cars so um he got me into the cars and then from there i just you know i got into like i know how to install systems and then i went into painting because he paints and then after that when i got my first honda i got into the honda racing and then so when do you when did you notice the eg for the very first time um man back in the days when uh like the battle of the imports you know when that was around all the all the guys had the eg was you know it was just the best race car it still is it still is what what makes the eg i guess your your platform of choice i guess it's you know it's the lightest chassis and then light is more sterile dynamic so you know it's just everybody likes it i like it yeah all my friends have civics and so when did you pick up your first eg uh well this one in 2000. so this is the this is the same car oh goodness yeah the same how did you come about where'd you find it where'd you pick it up actually one of my buddies uh named benny john he sold it to me yeah he's calling bj he sold me the car and then from there i just you know first it was b series you know i had a b series in it lsv tech and then um i went with like a gsr motor and then you know i started building it from there you know i had itbs you know i at some point at one point i had um it was fully built itvs i was making like 250 i think 250 or 260 horsepower but we're talking about in the 90s you know like late 90s so well just testing out different different setups testing out different cams back in those days the june cams were like legit you know june cams total cams you know at that that time i had june camps so there would be like i guess like a skunk stage two now and where would you go uh test these products i guess or would you go well most of it was street racing back then so we would street race in silmar glen oaks ontario 135th in maine mansville like those were all our testing spots so yeah so then later on as the cars got faster we started to take them to the track and see what they can do and no longer was safe on the street so you're like wait yeah the track is safer for sure because you know people crash on the streets and stuff like that so i don't take my car on the street no more it's just not worth it yeah it's it'll lose control real easy like you have you tinker with any other uh models so all i see is honda yeah well i mean i build hondas and i build evos i build some subarus i build some miatas so i mean i just bought a challenger that i'm fixing up now a dodge challenger that one's outside and i'm thinking of twin turboing that yeah but it's the the rt the 5.7 liter so but i've always liked that body style so that's all i want to just i'm gonna just try it see how it goes you know this is something about just something about the eg chassis that that i was always drawn to and um on with that car it it kept getting vandalized so i eventually sold that car and that's when i started experimenting with different other hondas you know i got into a right hand drive d a i got into a 94 four-door i've gone into the ef i had an ef four-door and uh i experimented with with other type of hondas but you know it was always in the back of my mind you know what i'm gonna get back into an eg hatch you know that was that was that was the car that was the chassis that was for me and um i had a i had a coupe a black 97 coupe that had a civic type bar motor in it and had a add a stroker kit and i tuned it made great power and i sold that car and at that at that moment i was like you know what i'm getting back in into an eg hatch i want to get back into something that that i knew i was going to be happy with and i knew i was going to hold on for forever and that's when i saw the red diva and as soon as as soon as uh ian who is actually a good buddy of mine now you know he as soon as he posted it i knew i already knew that was going to be my next hatchback i was going to do whatever it took to get to get a hold of this to get a hold of this hatch it was red um it already had a case swap in it and uh you know being old school i've always been about the b series life you know it's just it looks so good in in these chassis but i as soon as i went for a ride in this case series hatch i was i was hooked i was instantly hooked and so i found the car for sale uh i bought a plane ticket to texas because the car was in texas at the time and i drove it back to california and the car gave me no issues no problems whatsoever so that just shows you how reliable the car was and uh just being that it was case swapped you know it's it was just that was definitely a huge plus i've owned the car i've owned this car now for two or three about three almost three years now and uh i wouldn't get rid of her for the world no other no other honda gave me the same satisfaction as this chassis and um i just it's it's this car is i swear to god this car is going to be buried with me [Music] uh so this is a 1993 honda civic si uh it has a sunroof and and um you know a few options that a lot of the base models will the base bottles didn't come with uh the cars the car has a k24 e2 it came out of a 2008 tsx it's got bolt-ons it's got the rbc manifold it's got a short ram intake plm header it's got a full 3-inch exhaust by k-teller it's got a k-tune turned down muffler internally the motor is still stock uh it's just got a the 50-degree tc gear and the k20 oil pump which is pretty common for the k for a k24 swap because people want that extra oil circulation to rev a little bit higher uh what not the car was dyno tuned and made 228 wheel horsepower and 185 wheel torque the car is riding on function and form type 1 coil overs and hard race camber kits all the way around it's got a function 7 lower lower control arms and a function 7 subframe brace with an asr sway bar currently the car is on uh the raised ram lights the 57 drs they're a 15 by 15 by 8 with a positive 28 offset um i do have a new a another set of wheels for it uh some rays the um the t37sls that i just haven't put tires on yet but though hopefully those will be going on this car soon uh internally the or i'm sorry inside the car it's it's relatively stock i mean it's got usdm type r seats uh the worx bell quick release hub and uh personnel red stitch steering wheel along with the black duracon spoon shift knob it's got a hybrid racing short shifter so it's got also oh it's also got the miracle 35 millimeter crossbar and a bended mid b pillar bar so it's the inside's pretty much simple the out just as simple as the outside not nothing too much going on on the outside it's got a spoon duck bill wing the password jdm bumper scoops password jdm amber corners i forgot to mention in our first interview uh the the car uh the motor the transmission is is uh because i had a few people ask me is is it's just running a stock uh o2 type s transmission uh non-lsd and um i was really into trucks even though i love i love the honda's i was always the type of dude i always wanted to do something different all my boys had hondas and i was like if i get a honda too i'm going to kind of just kind of blend in i want to do something different so i decided to get like a 94 total truck and i didn't even know how to drive stick yet so my pops was like dude let's just go get it man like you know we'll learn to drive how to stick later you know just if you want it just get it these things only come in stick right now so we can't buy it in automatic anyways so we bought it and then um and then my buddy tim my neighbor um he had a 67 bug so anyways he had a 67 bug and then he was the perfect person to kind of ask me how to drive stick because he drove his stick you know he drove that every day so every day um whenever he wasn't free he was free i mean from work and stuff he go down the street down like up in alundra up in uh lamarada area it was like this really wide street and it was just like we can just cruise over there you know and um he just would learn man and just he'll jump out of the truck go through the passenger side i'll jump in and then he'll teach me how to drive stick man i think the hardest thing i ever learned how to do was um going uphill that was the hardest thing man because like i was like so nervous i didn't want to run back into the guy behind me so i had to pull the e-brake up first and then kind of give it some gas and then finally let go so i mean that's how that's all started man learn how to strike and from that point on all my cars ever owned from there man they're all been sticks dude so and then um right after that truck actually was talking about the truck the truck was like man i did i started hanging out with like um all the og's from the street racing days you know like steph and all them and all the from from lucky racing you know i got into actually like a car club it was like a racing crew back in the day called um hypertech racing so those are like my boys from carson torrance and all the sopa areas so start hanging out with the homies out there i got into the crew and then that's when all snowbites started fixing up the truck man i started making it fast and i'm actually turbo in it yeah so i found a turbo kid the guys from toy sport helped me out so we put a turbo kit on that thing i started street racing every week pretty much like four or five days out of the week man i was in compton i was to go to ontario we used to go to long beach terminal island that was like my spot we used to go out there and drag race so in 97 i put my whole truck back to stock and then i went to the um norm reeves honda and cerritos and i traded it in man i got me an ek house bro and then my pops man my pops never my pops never supported this thing dude like never the support of this hobby he always thought it was a waste of money you know most of the kind of look at their dads and like oh yeah i learned from my dad all this my pops was not into this stuff at all he was not he was he was always like don't do this don't do that don't don't mess up your car don't fix it up so when i first picked up the hit hatch he was like don't touch this car man leave it alone and i was like yeah yeah i'm not going to touch it at all man and then i remember um didn't take too long bro i remember like um my boy vahe um he was an ff squad and he had that he had a black integra and he was always well known for like having the most freaking like dumped car but he always had like he was always never like um happy about his car being the the height it was so he was always constantly switching out springs and all that back then there was no coilovers yet so he was always constantly switching out springs so he had like an extra set of new speak springs there was like four five eight coils cut off it was gonna be dumped dude and it was like he was like dude i have no use for this you want them i was like hell yeah dude so we jacked up the car i took it to my buddies on my car mate and then um they put the springs on i remember that day man because i had or had especially ordered um some srira had sr lip for the front i had order for it and i bought some black housing headlights from carmate and then we put everything on and i remember that day dude i drove home and then i parked the car and then my pops came home from work bro and then like he saw the car and he was so mad dude he was so pissed started yelling at me why did you do this i told you not to do this i knew you weren't gonna listen i knew you're gonna do this he literally didn't talk to me for like almost a month dude but it was me dude that's that's just that was my thing you know that was like the way i started being on you know gaming you know and doing all this stupid out there you know like i'd rather like just put my time and effort into like you know fixing up cars man that was my passion you know so uh my co-worker tara had this car this was originally red cx not molested it was just all oem like half of the car was all turned pink that's what these cars do after a while when they sit in the sun a long time so half of the car was like pink and the other side was like red and then like i was in love with it man it was because it was original it's never been touched had ac so i used to bugger every day do you guys come to work man i was like dude like when you're ready to sell this thing let me know man i really want this car you know and she was ready to think about selling actually it was perfect time to hit her up kind of playing that scene in her head and then i was like you know what it's finally time you know for me to like really get down to it and tear this car apart so that's when it happened man i just the bug started from there and i just started snowballing it was supposed to initially just it was gonna be like a drag race project i was just gonna only like just do all the stuff in the engine bay and leave the outside alone but but then my boy miguel owned mob works and he kind of talked me into it was like mike let's just paint this car bro you know so that's when the the decisions to finally look around trying to find the colors happen and then um noah found this color for me and then so now it's a b series on all motor setup it's a gsr gsr 2 liter it's an 85 mil um 89 stroke it's on um it's a 12 volt compression it's on pump gas so the last time i tuned this car and made about 243 horsepower that's on pump gas too so it's a cool little setup man it's a it's a fun little all motor setup i like the reason i went back to all motor was because i just wanted something more reliable and just more consistent boost is like you know it's more of a headache you know it's a lot of tuning involved and constantly got to be fixing this fixing now so i kind of want to just kind of keep a little more basic but then again i wanted something good with good amount of power you know too so but yeah it's a good setup man you know i got the skunk 2 pro 2 cams in there it's going to intake manifold um it's going to throttle body custom intake my buddy eric me for me um got a good waterworks um radiator setup so i mean pretty much almost a lot of custom stuff done on this car there's a lot of one-off things i'm doing the honda coil unplug with a rod wire harness he made me a custom harness with this car as well um and then my boy eric made me the distributor set up it's like a it's like a build a distributor cover and then i'm running the um my boy mike he made this years ago it said plan b it's a custom billet on valve cover it's a cnc valve cover we did and i had it all cerakoted camo so and then my boy roy from simple speed we got the cutoff switch i just to me was like all my cars back in the day um it was always about the engine bay you know the outsides were always like really basic and simple but dude like when you pop the hood that's where like the love was at you know and that's how i feel about this car you know like to me this is the part the engine bay is the part of the car i'm like i'm really proud about suspension i'm on function form so i've been with function form since 2005 when it first started so my boy rob and preston started the company back in the day and then um they sponsored me years ago so i'm using their coilovers it's been the same coil well it's been it's not the same suspension but i've been running function form since day one i built this car so and then um as far as the interior stuff is fully caged um i did ac did a full cage for me because back then when i was getting the car ready for the nhra spec it's all caged out for nhra um sport formula drive class so it's full chromoly roll cage in there i'm running a radium accu-sump um fuel system in my car it's all made actually and then my boy eric um he did all hard lines inside see because like a lot of people do that pump setup did run soft lines so with mine actually we ran a hard line set up because he wanted the car to be like running really safe and no fumes and stuff so that's another really nice touch that eric did on my car i did all the hard lines for the field system so um and then i have like um custom suspension stuff done on this car from my boys from ramps in engineering back in the day they were like making all the custom like lcas and the subframe brace and all that stuff so they're no longer around but those parts are like real special on my car i still running that i'm running a full custom three inch exhaust on that car as well so the car's on hondata it's all been to my boy david too as well at um um import auto pros that's my my tuner has been helping me out for a long time so if it wasn't for him man i couldn't be able to get this car running right man he's been helping me out a lot with that got it all dialed in for me also ryan from ryewire he's always been helping me out as well too i had some issues with my tps he came over one day and just figured everything out for me got to calibrate it i mean so he's been like a huge help for me since day when i started this project sometimes they get a little squirrely on top and you know sometimes you gotta let off so your alignment has to be on point like it has to be real clean so it'll go straight or like if you get like oil on your tires or something like because of the track or whatever it's very easily you could lose control have you ever had any shaky situation like that at the track well i went to sacramento and um when i put my steering wheel on i didn't lock it in so when i hit i launched i hit first and i hit second gear my steering wheel came off so i had no steering so i tried to put it back i couldn't so i just threw it on the floor and i grabbed the the hub and just held it so i wouldn't crash on this one i'm this one yeah man well i mean now i have the wide body front end you know i get these made these are my style but uh i think the first one to come out with the front ends was jojo the jojo front ends like back in the days but then he like disappeared so i just continued it and i made my own and now i sell front ends too okay and when the k-spheres go in well when did it come out in o2 oh so you were one of the first pioneers right well i you know when the case series came out i think i started um i'm gonna say i had it probably an o 304 k series i put the k series in but you know like you know the k series transmissions they suck so i would break chinese like i couldn't finish an event because you would break the transmission so but now they got the dog box and now after the dog box man we could just do pass after pass with no issues now i'm making about 425 horsepower and it's all motor i got a drag cartel cnc head with drac cartel uh stage six cams springs retainers you know the whole head package and then the block is a super 99 so it's a stock crank from the dealer with uh long rod long aluminum rods and trom pistons and uh my transmission is a ppg dog box and the headers i have right now those are skunk two side exit headers and then um i got kinsler itbs they're 67 millimeters and uh welding fuel pump and that's it i got drive shaft shop axles so you know it's it's pretty good 16 volt battery my best time now is a 983 at 139 mile per hour yeah in the quarter mile crazy what are the future plans for the interior of this car maybe some paint that's about it there's nothing else to do that's it just paint it just looks a little dirty and ugly yeah i want to paint the rest paint the cage paint the floor red no just black it's because we throw too much in it when we go racing that it's not worth painting it red it just won't stay nice so just so it looks cohesive yeah just like a little black that way you know a little touch-up is a little spray what kind of suspension are you running um i have skunk two suspension right now oh wow but i have uh the fcs rear trailing arm kit oh okay that's that company right here lightweight [Music] is there any uh upgrades that you're gonna do to the suspension itself uh maybe rebuilt the bushings like that bushing is bad so i think i have to get new bushings for it so i'll see just this little stuff it's a little stuff yeah fine tuning it you know why did you never let go of this one what's so special about this one never crashes there was no need to change it yes don't need to change it why start over when you have one already one project is good enough when you have two when you have too many projects you never finish them you never understand i'd rather just throw well this is my only money pit because they're all money pits all race cars you know race great all car hobbies are money pits when did you start doing your own front ends man in about maybe i'm gonna say like oh five or six maybe five or six and they're what just all carbon or fiberglass fiberglass yeah three-piece fiberglass front and wide body and you say you do those for eg ek eg ek and the dc and dc it's obviously you know everything internals i do piping i do fully built i mean i don't do the sleeving i get them done but assembly i do all the assemblies i even import i ported this head according polish the head the intake do all the piping all the welding and i just throw your history of just building stuff right this one i'm doing the piping mounting we mounted the intercooler and the radiators had to make brackets for it so now i gotta do the piping it's gonna go from here to here and then this one's gonna go from here to here and then i'm gonna make a pie he wants hood exit so i'm gonna go here and just come up so i gotta do all that so that's the project for today yeah yeah i wanna try to finish up the all the piping i went and got all kinds of material i needed to finish it up keep yourself busy huh all day every day though so what are the future plans for this eg well i have another a big motor which is this motor is a 99 stroke i have a 106 stroke motor that i'm putting together that i'm going to put in here so that should make about another 30 40 horsepower hopefully so we'll have like another 30 40 and see what we can do with that and why build an n8 it's just i mean i like turbos don't get me wrong i build a lot of turbo motors too but n a is like it's hard to make power all motor so if you go fast all motor then you're a bad simple as that yeah turbo's easy you just put a bigger turbo it makes power but all motor how are you going to get power it's just cams stroke compression that's it you know obviously you learn you know you can't you can't cut corners because then you start having issues later on down the road um same thing goes for this for the eg chassis you know it's you want to swap you want to swap the motor you know swap it right you know quality parts you know quality parts will go a long way you just you don't want to deal with headaches with these cars later on down the road because then you start getting discouraged you uh you start selling you start going through cars like crazy you sell one you purchase another one um but you don't you don't you don't want to get into you don't want to get into these cars uh with a headache you don't want to cause headaches because in the end they cause they do these things they cause stress you know and and uh the last thing you want you know especially you know working an everyday job raising a family uh it's you don't want to have to deal with the stress of of a car and um so my advice is if you're going to do it do it right do it right the first time don't cut any corners as far as shout outs my the biggest shout out is you know to my wife she's she's just been super supportive through through this whole hobby of mine and super patient super patient she's any event that she could attend where these cars were at she would just to show her support um ian james the guy who actually put most of the car together i got to still send him a shout out because i still talk to him every now and then and you know he built he put together one hell of a car and i'm honored that i actually get to enjoy it and get to drive it and um so i want to send him a shout out and then i also want to send a shout out to my social media community you know you guys have shown so much support um even something as simple as just liking the photos that i post you know but you all have been a tremendous uh a tremendous uh you have all been tremendously supportive of of my cars and and uh you've always shown love and um everyone's been so nice and and i wouldn't be where i am today without you guys and i just i want to send you guys a big i want to say thank you to all of you so so just just a lot of good friends went through this car like my best friend john tanji he was the first person person to actually touch this car he passed away um this this i think that's the reason one other reason why this car is like super special for me because i was like that was my best friend man we used to hang out all the time at his house and he used to help me tinker on this car all those years and this car just this car holds a lot of sentimental value to me because you know he's no longer around and i just kind of wanted to always have this car around the memory of him you know so just like i said there's like a lot of there's a lot of there's a lot of hands that been on this car that just what made this car like really special to me you know like a lot of legendary people that have been in the industry for years and years and i'm super grateful that one way or another there were somewhere on this car and they were they had their hands on this car one way or another somewhere and they're on this car you know so i'm just grateful like a lot of my sponsorships that i've had over the years you know so i've been a lot of people have been around since they want to help me out you know it's going to um falcon tires you know function form you know rye wire hybrid racing you know there's been so many different companies man asc just um hill till marcus from hilton has been helping me out a lot just just a lot of different companies man you know it's been around since day one that's been you know been there for me you know just helping me out with this project dude i'm just super grateful for it but right now like it's it's good where it's at it's fun to drive and it's you know it's reliable i finally got it to a point it's finally reliable to drive and stuff i kind of just want to leave it like this dude i might be switching my wheels around the only other thing i really want to do one day is um i've been looking all over 42 but just do the spoon lip and then i know someone that actually has like actual like a brand new spoon um hood in the box someone that i know he knows who he is um but whenever he's willing to ready to let that go that's the only thing i want to do i want to put the spoon hood on this car and then run the spoon lip and i'll be set i'd be happy where it's at you know so it's kind of it's hard for me to say that man because i always been like never been really been 100 content with this card i always wanted to like change it around so many things but now i'm just all about like just doing little things here and there just doing little changes you know like changing like i just recently got the um the reservoir covers from um from coop from coop customs and stuff sees customs and stuff so that's my boy man i did that for just to switch it up and i kind of just get that one up more orange on there just like little things man you know i just been doing you know just to kind of tinker with it i got the jase right um i just did like the j's racing the toe hook was on there i put that just like you know just like little touches that i've done to the car well actually i used to work for dr charles from well he works at skunk 2 now but he had his own shop called atomic performance so i used to work for him and i learned a lot of things from him and i just applied them to what i know now and you know cars just get faster and faster and how old were you when you started doing that when i worked for charles i was probably like early 20s like 28 maybe i'm 44 now i'm gonna be 45 in like 10 days thank you man thank you all the companies that have helped me out drag cartel traum even aries pistons um they're just you know skunk too they're you know good companies to work with and they always you know they seem to help out all the time what is the future for jerry built specifically um well i mean just keep working just keep working building cars and selling front ends this is diesel but that's pretty much it just work hard all right okay no is that starting well then i was like no because they're next i know because i was like so many scenarios i was thinking about it i was like this is the first issue where was this dude for yourself now it's become your oh it's been it's [Music] and let me get in there again and then open it again close it and open it again okay are you good yeah oh this is good go ahead so i gotta is it still recording are you gonna fix that later right okay so i have a radium um please fix that i'm running a radium um fuel pump in there as well too it's like a can't talk right now bro to pause that too don't put that in there hold on you were doing so well no i know but when it came to that particular part you know what i did the same thing when we talked about romans um petals i was like damn it man so i'm gonna cut it off from right there and i'm gonna do this as simplest way possible is she should i uh should i wait yes you can edit all this out right bloopers bloopers there you go all right [Music] you
