the soup Civil War has begun everyone is leaving homelander whilst the boys are only getting stronger well except Billy butcher who's gone to meet his maker whilst at the same time Ryan has started the First Act of rebellion against his father however the biggest loss of homelander isn't even his son but sister Sage as he's only going to done what he does best and used his infinite wisdom to F it all up it's revealed in episode 7 of season 4 that Sage was aware all along that at train was the true leak in spite of this she purposefully withheld the information from homie for one big and valid reason he's mental the last time Sage outed a mle within vort homelander lasered her brains out before she could even be of any true use however at train was too valuable as Sage had purposefully set him up to leak Intel she actually wanted the boys to know this was the most integral part of her plan to destroy Starlight once and for all whilst finalizing homelander and Newman's Pres presidential campaign success firecracker on the other hand tried to not only outshine but also replace Sage by homie's side through setting web weav up to confess or so that she could get some brownie points we know this because web weaver would agree to do or say anything if it meant he got his next fix knowing this firecracker promised him the fix he desired if he just made up a story and admitted to being the leak which is why when he realizes Homeland is about to tear him in half he opens up truthfully at the final moment admitting it wasn't him except it's too late this was a moment for firecracker to get a true Taste of the effed up World she's gotten herself into the woman who prided herself on knowing all the truth and evils about this world got a look into what true evil really looked like there and then nonetheless they soon learned that a trains the real traitor as he continued on his goated character Arc of being the only superhero in the seven as he saved Butcher and starlight from the deep and Noir you see the Deep has once again tried running away from his own insecurities which is why he left his octo [ __ ] to die she spoke nothing but straight facts to him regarding Sage's true intentions with him but he didn't want to hear it thus he killed her and submitted fully to homelander thinking it's his true purpose which is how he found himself slapping the [ __ ] out of Starlight before a train stopped him he's an example of the continuing parallels between the boys and the Seven because whilst homelander side has only continued to get smaller as season 4 gone on the boys has continued to grow and it's all thanks to at train continuing his Redemption Arc which has solidified him as one of the series best characters you see it all began when he apologized to huy at herogasm taking the first step towards a life worth living after all his sins the reason the series even began so it's poetic that his Redemption also kicks off the end of homeland's Reign of Terror back in season 2 his heart began to give up from the constant shooting up a v essentially leaving him useless in in the eyes of homelander and V however after he killed blue hawk in season 3 to avenge his brother Nathan atran quite literally had a change of heart his previously defunct one was replaced by Blue Hawks meaning he could run as he could before but at a cost he forever had to live with the heart of the man who brought so much pain on his family but this led us to season 4 where Adrian's been giving the boys the information and tools they need to complete that goal constantly putting his life on the line each time as he knows it's what a real superhero would do nonetheless with the truth of this treachery now out there he's left with no choice but to run and hide he tries his best to get Ashley on board and help save her but it's no use she does however remind him to cut out his tracker before eventually escaping he's not the only one leaving homie's Madness behind though as Sage got her ass fired for hiding the truth too something homelander told everyone to never do in season 3 using black no as an example of what would happen the sage probably got off pretty lucky with just a firing regard history is repeating for her as this is exactly like the time she found the cure for her Grandma's cancer rather than be listened to the doctors laughed at and ignored her leading to her grandmother's death This Time despite her plan proving to be Flawless the fact homelander wasn't in the loop meant that it wasn't a plan worth having in his eyes it further exemplifies just how much of a big manbaby flip-flop he really is one moment he wants people to bow down to him the next he's fed up with the esmen and now he's back to wanting his fragile ego stroked just like how he said in season 3 episode 2 that he doesn't make mistakes only to then Tell Ryan that sometimes we do he told Ryan he'd love him forever and now his son is an inconvenience it all stems from the fact that the homelander simply cannot function on his own no matter how much he really wants to this obscene level of indecisiveness in my opinion will further lead to his downfall as he's going to prove Sage right by unbeknown Le ruining her grand plan to kill the president for his sake this is because she used the Assassin the boys went after to kidnap Starlight and steal both her body and memories and whilst this meant huie experienced yet another violation something even worse was about to happen because with the real Starlight imprisoned the fake starlight can be the one to go and kill the president opening up the room for Newman whil also fully nuking starlight's reputation to the public and subsequently raising homies but like I said homelander selfish and fragile ego will once again get the better of him and ruin it all as with everyone leaving him it's finally time for that ticking Time Bomb to go off and resort to the vision he had in season 2 that's right he is going to be the one to kill the president ruining Sage's plan entirely and sparking his soup Civil War in the eyes of the public but who will be the two to oppose him well one will be the real Starlight as at the end of the episode someone comes into her prison following her firing I think it very well could be Sage planning to use the real Starlight to save the president and get one big F you up on homelander the other hero to fight back will be none other than Ryan although in episode 6 homelander and Ryan seem to have made up and come to an understanding amongst each other their paths have started to diverge once again as his tradition with a childlike homelander he can't make his mind up and he has no control over his own impulses Ryan was the shiny toy he could play with for the last few weeks but now he's found firecrackers titties for a bit and got a little bit too busy for the boy where he doesn't even pick up the phone when Ryan needs him the most I thought the world was only supposed to be for Ryan and himself with everyone else is simply extras or toys once again these extras have started to take over his time to the point where Ryan seems to be the extra highlighting that the public isn't the one who needs homelander but their approval is what he cherishes the most since that's what Barbara and the people at the lab programmed into him to feel since childhood however Ryan doesn't feel the same way he had his mother teach him what was right and wrong unlike homelander Ryan's Center of morality isn't himself but to help and improve things for others as that's what superheroes are supposed to do right that was V's message to the public in the first few seasons that superheroes keep us safe yet after being on the inside and turning into a superhero himself Ryan is starting to realize that the soups don't serve the people but his father which goes against what Ryan has learned from Becca or even butcher so now the cracks between Father and Son are becoming even larger causing Ryan to finally take a stand after listening to his father's halfast voicemail message claiming to just get on with it but Ryan can't go on W with something like telling kids to literally report their own parents for having views that don't align with the super gender because by that logic even his mom would have been in trouble and so the boy speaks out in season 3 episode 2 when homelander went on his iconic I am better rant on live TV Ashley tried cutting to commercials however homelander forced her to stop so that he could expose to the world how he' been turned into a puppet by Vault and the rich to suppress his true desires which we know is to be a bigoted narcissistic Manchild who is superior to all the mud people Ryan however in episode 7 of season 4 proved that he truly is the superior version of homelander a true superhero because whilst doing his song on the TV show Ryan interrupts it to then speak his mind on live TV to all those watching Ashley once again panics and tries to cut the broadcast but Ryan like his dad tells her no however unlike homelander Ryan spreads a positive message about love and equality telling the world how he really feels about Christmas with his true feelings of sadness for his mother not being there and even invokes but's name as someone she loves with how genuine Ryan's words were the public will of course put him on a pedestal his ratings are going to saw through the roof because no San person wants to report their own family they just want to reconcile the Rifts and have Christmas dinner together so instead of following homelander words they will look to a more honest Ryan and what does homelander hate the most above all it's the hit to his ratings you know how in episode 3 when Ryan was sulking after killing koi homelander came in with a milkshake to celebrate his first save but after seeing Ryan was sad he thought that the boy was upset over his father taking a little bit of the spotlight that showed us homie's real priority the numbers and so Ryan taking that away from him especially after saying that butcher was his mother's husband oh boy the conspiracy theorists are going to be all over this one further cracking homelander facade which will slowly turn Ryan to leave homelander just like everyone else around him where the final nail in the coffin will be Ryan stepping up and stopping homelander from massacring the crowd at Jan 6th we all know about the check offs gun of the boys who have the audio recording of Newman and homelander from the last episode right where they lay out their entire plan and speak plainly of how they see the rest of the world as mere insects well that's going to be something Ryan can't agree on either because to him a hero or someone with powerful strength is justified through protecting the weak the evidence to this is Ki once again where Ryan saw him as a teacher who was helping him even though Ki didn't have the strength Ryan did koi couldn't fly but he had his role and something even a soup could learn from he actually brought value to the world it's the tried and true Trope of what a strong hero is supposed to do protect the weak and this is what butcher sees on TV faith in Ryan so bro gives the silent treatment to butcher for the entire episode until the bar at the end where Joe is pestering butcher to turn to the dark side until Ryan's on his message on the screen which shatters kesler's entire argument about going nuclear with the virus however just as butcher is celebrating this big dub he drops to the ground dead he's not really dead because we all got to remember that this worm is busted we saw just how powerful one dose of compound V was for hu's brain dead Dad where the entire plot Point could serve as a purpose evidence towards how butcher came back to life this is likely going to be the moment the worm gains control over butcher's body where he will have to fight his own inner demons to take control once again especially butcher's trauma of not being there for the people he cares about be it Lenny Becca or even the real Kesler but this time it's going to be different in the most pivotal moment of Ryan's life as he's rebelling against his father during the rally Ryan won't have the strength yet to win against his dad and so who's going to come in flying with his Venom worm super suit it's Billy [ __ ] butcher we already saw how strong butcher was in season 3 with his laser eyes where he could go toe-to-toe against homelander so now with Ryan's power which was strong enough to Blitz Stormfront or even push back homelander in season 2 it might be a fair fight or at least enough of a fight to let Ryan escape and
