Holme Hobbies' Hobby House #2: The Ultimate Hobby Haven - Fully Renovated and Ready for Action

we're ready for a hobby house number two update as you can see I am in a kitchen and this kitchen is slightly echoey but it is almost done the Hobby House number two is almost done we uh had some problems here and there with our uh you know the things that are that are devices in your home like the hot water heater well we uninstalled the hot water heater to do some work reinstalled the hot water heater and then it decided to spring a leak and also not work for the valve so I had to get a new hot water heater water heater a hot water heater oh oh it's just a water heater okay now it was no it was a cold water heater because it heats the cold water to hot right yeah so we got a new got a new water heater uh also got you know a washer and dryer because you need those sorts of things in a home like this um actually went down the Best Buy of all places for that and they delivered it for free and they gave me 24 months at zero percent or they would have given me a hundred dollars like cash back so I did the math really quick and uh two years of zero percent was a lot better deal than 100 cash back so I I took that and now I have my first credit card at 41 years old yay whatever all right so uh that's in here this is in here uh as you can see we we kept the old oven it's three thousand dollars for a new one of these three thousand dollars it would have been cheaper just to renovate without this but you know live and learn I didn't think about that but you know it's white inside the cabinet so it still kind of matches right right you know we got a stainless fridge and a stainless sink and and white fixtures yeah whatever it works no uh living room the living room is all done pretty much I think we got everything trimmed out and yeah for the most part as you can see we're starting to get our studio built up me and a buddy we're gonna use this space for a studio for a while and yeah yeah this is pretty much what it is still still an echoey space but we don't have carpets we don't have couch of course that stuff is is coming the rooms nothing's different any of the rooms but the bathroom the bathroom is done mostly there's there's still a teeny bit of finish work but it's it's a usable bathroom it has you know like water and a shower we have hot water here there's you know all the things that a normal house would have I still need to finish up the uh grout caulk on the ceiling there but that's uh you know small details small details there's a big old Gap I didn't quite know what to do with so I was going to wait for some for some professional help on that but as you can see coming along from what we were originally at this place is a lot nicer at this point definitely a lot nicer so cool to see it smells better it looks better everything is much better in this house so we're pretty much at a stopping point might not have any more updates about the Hobby House number two but this is going to give me an opportunity to move my stuff from The Hobby House into here and then I can tear down the hobby house and have something that isn't on cinder blocks for a crawl space and that'll be really nice because I've had the pipes freeze every year didn't matter what I did even having the water running still sometimes you know if it gets down to like eight degrees or even negative zeros it doesn't matter if you have the water running it's going to end up freezing around here especially when there's cinder blocks as your foundation and the air just coming through so at any rate that'll allow me to move everything into here I can tear down the hobby house and then do something with a slab that's heated with Bitcoin miners of course and that'll be a lot nicer than what's there so I'm pretty pretty excited about that I'm looking forward to it and in the meantime we're just gonna I guess start moving more stuff in here so there you go there's the update if you got any questions about life in general leave your comments down below do my best to get to them as always thanks for tuning in and have a great day
