you got to go and dig those hoes with broken hands and weathered souls emancipated hello and welcome back to michael reeves i'm micah of course and once again we have change things we love changing actually everyone hates change that's well documented what have i done i swear i switched to my your trap now because we're already 48 chapters in i switched to my like lens from like the 1900s sometime maybe like 1970 something 1980 something i switched to the lens that's a radioactive lens it's got thorium glass in it why because i have another lens and i've only been using the other one now the difference here is the other one i've been using has auto focus so if i if i i'm gonna be blurry right but back here ideally i'll be i'll be nice and clear do i know i'm actually clear uh i can't tell you because it's so far away like it's a good like eight feet away from where i am um i know again really long intro not really what i'm going for here we're gonna be reading holes i swear i just i want to test something out we'll only read one chapter in this setup and go back to the normal one so if you hate it it won't last forever i just want to test some stuff out because you know we have a whole room i leave a lot of options on what we want to do with it so we're never going to advance if we don't change anything so chapter 48 they slowly walked back to camp the tall man was the texas attorney general the chief law enforcement officer for the state stanley's lawyer was named mrs or ms moringo stanley held the suitcase he was so tired he couldn't think straight he felt as if he was walking in a dream not quite able to comprehend what was going on around him they stopped in front of the camp office mr sarah went inside to get stanley's belongings the attorney general told mr pendanski to get the boys something to drink and eat the warden seemed as dazed as stanley you can't even read she said to zero zero said nothing miss morango put a hand on stanley's shoulder and told him to hang in there he would be seeing his parents soon she was shorter than stanley but somehow gave the appearance of being tall mr pendanski returned with two cord cartons of orange juice and two bagels stanley drank the juice but didn't feel like eating anything what the warden exclaimed i didn't say they stole the suitcase it's it's his suitcase obviously he put things he put my things from my my cabin inside it that isn't what you said earlier said miss moringo sorry i just got lost in time what's in the suitcase the warden now stanley tell us what's in it and we'll open it and see stanley didn't know what to do stanley is your lawyer i advise you not to open your suitcase said miss morengo he has to open it said the warden i have a right to check the personal property of any of the detainees how do i know there aren't drugs or weapons in there he stole a car too i've got witnesses she was nearly hysterical i was not conveying that properly for her to be appearing hysterical let's try it again he has to open it said the warden i have a right to check my personal personal property of any of the detainees how do i know there aren't drugs oh weapons in there he stole a car too i've got witnesses she was nearly hysterical a little more accurate i think he is no longer under your jurisdiction said stanley's lawyer he has not been officially released said the warden open the suitcase stanley do not open it said stanley's lawyer stanley did nothing mr sir returned from the office with stanley's backpack and clothes the attorney general handed mrs or miss morengo a sheet of paper you're free to go he said to stanley i know you're anxious to get out of here so you can keep the george keep the orange suit as a souvenir or burn it whatever you want good luck stanley he reached out to his hand to shake but miss miss morengo hurriedly hurried stanley away come on stanley she said we have a lot to talk about stanley stopped and turned to look at zero he couldn't just leave him there zero gave him a thumbs up i can't i can't leave hector stanley said i suggest we go said his lawyer with a sense of urgency in her voice i'll be okay said zero his eyes shifted towards mr pendanski on one side of him and then to the warden of mr sir on the other there's nothing i can do for your friend said miss moringo you are released pursue it to an order from the yep you are released pursuant to an order from the judge they'll kill him said stanley your friend is not in danger said the attorney general there's going to be an investigation into everything that's happened here for the prison i'm in shock taking charge of the camp come on stanley said his lawyer your parents are waiting stanley stayed where he was his lawyer side may i have a look at matt i have a look at hector's file she asked certainly said the attorney general miss walker go get hector's file she looked at him blankly well the warden turned to mr pendanski bring me a hector zeroni's file he stared at her get it she ordered mr pinansky went into the office he returned a few minutes later and announced the file was apparently misplaced the attorney general was outraged what kind of camp are you running here miss walker the warden said nothing she stared at the suitcase the attorney general assured stanley's lawyer that he would get the records excuse me while i call my office he turned back to the warden i assume the phone works he walked up to the camp office slamming the door behind him a little while later he reappeared and told the warden he wanted to talk to her she cursed and went inside stanley gave zero a thumbs up caveman is that you he turned to see armpit and squid coming out of the rec room squid shouted back into the rec room caveman zero out here soon all the boys from group d had gathered around him in zero good to see you man armpit said shaking his hand we thought you were buzzing food stanley is being released today said mr pendanski wait a gal said magnet hitting him on the shoulder and you didn't even step have to step on a rattlesnake said squid even zigzag shook sick stanley's hand sorry about you know it's cool said stanley we had to lift the truck clear out of the hole zigzag told him it took everybody in c d and e we just picked it right up it was really cool said twitch x-ray was the only one who didn't come over stanley saw him hang back behind the others a moment and then return to the rec room guess what said magnet glancing at mr pendanski mom says we don't have to dig any more holes that's great stanley said will you do me a favor ask squid i guess stanley agreed somewhat hesitantly i want you to he turned to miss morengo hey lady do you have a pen and paper i could borrow she gave it to him and squid wrote down a phone number which he gave to stanley call my mom for me okay tell her tell her i said i was sorry tell her allen said he was sorry stanley promised he would now you be careful out there in the real world said armpit not everybody as nice as us stanley smiled the boys departed when the warden came out of the office the attorney general was right behind her um my office is having some difficulty locating hector zarone's records the attorney general said so you have no claim of author you have no claim of authority over him asked miss moringa i didn't say that he's in the computer we just can't access his records it's like they've fallen through a hole in cyberspace a hole in cyberspace miss moringa repeated how interesting when's his release date i don't know how long has he been here like i said we can't so what are you planning to do with him keep him confined indefinitely without justification while you go crawling through black holes in cyberspace the attorney general stared at her he was obviously incarcerated for a reason oh and what reason is that the attorney general said nothing stanley's lawyer took a hold of zero's hand come on hector you're coming with us and that is the end of chapter 48 and after i do the review of this chapter the end of this video set up that's slightly different than the other video up so what happened here so basically this is a wrap up of everything that's going to be happening at this camp and i don't think we're going to see any more of this camp maybe as they're driving away or something like that but i don't think stanley is going to be setting foot in this camp further in this book i think that's going to be the end of that so um what happened so we learned that uh the lawyer of stanley her name is miss morango um she is here essentially to take him away she's like okay well let's take him away and so the warden is like hey he stole things from my office and put them in that suitcase and miss moreno's like yeah that's not what you said you said that was your suitcase that he stole from your cabin if it's not your suitcase i don't think it has anything to do with you and she's like well it might have my stuff in it he's under my jurisdiction i get to decide whether or not what he stole is important because he's under my jurisdiction and if he is like guns or drugs or something i need to know about it because you know it's my it's my camp and so the warden basically walks in from like wherever not the warden the uh attorney general walks in it's like hey you're you're basically released stanley so stanley doesn't have to release anything and the warden's practically begging him hey let me see what's in that case let me see what's in that case mostly because she's been her whole family's been searching for this case for like their entire exit for like the last hundred years and so she's really just like this is i'm so close to finding out what the whole point of my family's torture has been why we've been out here being slaving away in this desert for a hundred years what have we been trying to find she knows it's valuable but she doesn't know exactly what it is and so she's dying to know at any cost and stanley refuses or mostly just doesn't do anything in response to her demands he's like well i mean if i don't have to i'm not going to or just isn't reacting at all anyways uh armpit walks up and he's like armpit and squid walk up and they're like oh my god you're not dead how cool and then it's armpit right who does the it doesn't really matter who it is that was squid asked the favor yeah squid said um tell my parents that alan says he's sorry basically showing that after being tortured in this camp he eventually essentially feels you know what maybe what i did was wrong maybe there's no like maybe i made the wrong choices and maybe i could have done something differently just basically wanted uh stanley to like get to call his parents and tell him that he was sorry and that's and stanley's like you know what sure and then everybody from the camp kind of walks over and is like oh my god you're leaving congratulations and all that and x-ray just kind of hangs behind and uh doesn't come over but i don't think stanley expects him to because x-ray and stanley have kind of had a rough time of it ever since zero started digging his holes for him um x-ray felt as a position of power that he had kind of had he's like well it's frustrating because we all had to work this whole time and you worked less than us and then you just basically left into the desert and got even more of a vacation so i guess i could see where that comes from um but either way uh the lawyer tries to take stanley away and stan is like i'm not leaving without zero i gotta come he's gotta come with me he'll be killed if he stays here and zero's like no i'll be all right in between the warden and mr pendanski and mr sir who have already said we're gonna kill him because there's no records of him anymore because mr pendanski wiped the records and so uh the attorney general's like or i guess the lawyer or somebody is like hey go check on the records for uh hector zaroni zero here and the warden's like oh crap we deleted those uh mr pendanski go go get those records for zero and mr pendanski's like i deleted that yeah sure i'll go get him and he walks into the into the place where they keep records he's like they're gone and they're like what do you mean they're gone isn't it your whole job to keep track of the people that are incarcerated here and the attorney general's like i'm going to go check with the home office to see what his record's saying there and lo and behold mr peninsula also deleted the records through there so for the attorney general hector cerrone exists but does not have any record of his crimes how long he's supposed to be here or any of the details all that shows up is his name so he's fallen through a hole in cyberspace and so the lawyer basically says okay if there's no record of him he's now under my care i am now taking him on as a client and as an attorney he is being held against the law because there is no stated guidelines on a reason for why he should be here he could have been here for years we don't know there's no records and so she grabs him and zero and stanley are now going to be getting in the car with the lawyer and morengo miss morengo and they're gonna be heading off and we'll see what happens and they'll all get to say goodbye to everyone at the camp we don't know what's gonna happen there's only like a chapter or two left yeah so thank you for joining me temporarily i'll be right back in like a snap and chapter 49 there never used to be yellow spotted lizards in the town of greenlee lake they didn't come to the area until after the lake dried up but the townsfolk could hear about the red-eyed monsters living in the desert hills one afternoon sam the onion man and his donkey mary lou were returning to his boat which was anchored just a little offshore it was late in november and the peach trees had lost most of their leaves sam someone called he turned around to see three men running after him waving their hats he waited afternoon walter bo jesse he greeted them as they walked up catching their breath glad we caught you said bo we're going rattlesnake hunting in the morning we want to get some of the old lizard juice said walter i ain't scared no rattlesnake said jesse or i ain't scared no rattlesnake said jesse i don't want to come across one of those red-eyed monsters i seen one once and that was enough i knew about the red eyes of course i hadn't heard about the big black teeth it's the white tongues that get me said bo sam gave each man two bottles of pure onion juice he told them to drink one bottle before going to bed that night and then half a bottle in the morning then a half bottle around lunch time you sure this stuff works asked walter i tell you what said sam if it doesn't you can come back next week and i'll give you your money back walter looked around unsure as bo and jesse laughed then sam laughed too even mary lou let out a rare hee-haw i don't even know why i tried that was stupid just remember sam told the men before they left it's very important you drink a bottle tonight you got to get it into your bloodstream the lizards don't like onion blood stanley and zero sat in the back seats of miss morengo's bmw the suitcase lay between them it was locked and they decided they'd let stanley's father try and open it in his workshop you don't know what's in it do you she asked no said stanley i didn't think so the air conditioning was on but they drove with the windows open as well because no offense but you boys really smell bad miss morengo explained that she was a patent attorney i'm helping your father with a new product he's invented he happened to mention your situation so i did a little investigating clive livingston sneakers were stolen sometime before 3 15. i found a young man derek dunn who said that at 2 3 20 you were in the bathroom fishing your notebook out of the toilet two girls remembered seeing you come out of the boys restroom carrying a wet notebook stanley felt his ears redden even after everything he'd been through the memory still caused him to feel shame so you couldn't have stolen them said miss morengo he didn't he didn't i did said zero you did what asked miss moringo i stole the sneakers the lawyer actually turned around while driving and looked at him i didn't hear that she said and i advise you to make sure i don't hear it again what did my father invent stanley asked did he find a way to recycle sneakers no he's still working on that explained miss morengo but he invented a product that eliminates foot odor here i've got a sample in my briefcase i wish i had more you too could you two could bathe in it she opened her briefcase with one hand and passed a small bottle back to stanley it had a fresh and somewhat spicy smell he handed it to zero what's it called stanley asked we haven't come up with a name yet said miss morengo it smells familiar said zero peaches right ask miss moringo that's what everyone says a short while later both boys fell asleep behind this behind them the sky had turned dark and for the first time in over 100 years a drop of rain fell into the empty lake and that is the end of chapter 49 so this chapter is all about uh just being in the car just a couple of boys in the car actually it cuts back to um the past in the 1800s i guess the late 1800s where sam um yeah i think it's late 1800s anyways sam is doing his onion stuff and a bunch of men run up to him and they're like hey we need your onion tonic we're gonna be going after rattlesnakes and we're not scared of the rattlesnakes but there are those red-eyed lizards the yellow spotted lizards out there and if they bite us we die so you have that tonic that makes them go away and he's like yeah i have an onion tonic remember lizards don't like onion blood and basically this implies the reason that stanley and zero weren't killed by the yellow spotted lizards as they were laying in a lizard pit is because they had been eating onions non-stop for like a week or two weeks or however long they were up on that mountain and because of all the onions they were eating they had onion blood as it is described and because they had onion blood the lizards wanted nothing to do with them because it doesn't taste good to them and they don't want to bite it and so that's why they were unharmed when they were sitting there in yellowspotted lizards which is also why the warden mr sur and mr pendanski couldn't get at them because of the lizards so they were essentially shielded by the lizards because they were shielded by the onion juice kind of giving us that backstory into how they survived that situation and then it cuts to the future basically mrs morengo or miss morango explains the reason that we know it wasn't you who committed the crime of stealing clyde livingston sneakers is because uh that toilet because that notebook that you had thrown that what's his name the kid derek dunn had thrown in the toilet because he had thrown stanley's notebook in the toilet uh stanley was fishing it out of the toilet around the time the sneakers were stolen which means there's no way he could have that he could have done it not to mention that schools don't let out until a certain time and stanley would have had a record of being in school anyway it doesn't matter so uh zero says oh yeah he didn't steal the sneakers i did and then she's like you know what don't repeat that again don't tell me that i'm a lawyer i can't be healing hearing you incriminate yourself and zero's like okay and so she's like here uh and stanley asked what did my dad invent because you're because she explained she's a patent lawyer which means she helps um patent inventions she's the kind of lawyer that basically writes all of the like detailed descriptions of a product so that no one can steal your product it's kind of copyright law kind of thing but instead it's patenting law which is essentially the same thing so anyways um she's like yeah uh that's how you're i'm helping your dad with this criminal case even though i'm not a criminal lawyer because i was able to look in and find the right information to get you released and also yeah what your dad invented is actually something that'll cover up foot odor it'll completely eliminate foot odor and it'll also probably help with the smell that you guys have which is why the windows are down is because they smell so much like onions and like unwashed boy and so they sniff it and zero's like oh it kind of smells like and then she's like yeah it smells like peaches right so i think what we're seeing here is that this is kind of probably some connection to the peaches and onions maybe that the um kate barlow had because she was famous for her peaches i think in a way peaches and onions is essentially what this book is centered around and we can see the ties to that in the interconnected stories the interwoven stories between all of the characters so anyways i think we're ready to move on to part three filling in the holes chapter 50. stanley's mother insists that there was never a curse she even doubts whether stanley's great-great-grandfather really stole his pig the reader might find it interesting however that stanley's father invented his cure for foot odor the day after the great great grandson of elliot yelnats married the great-great-great-grandson of madame zeroni hold on the day after the great-great-grandson of elliot yelnats carried the great-great-grandson okay so not married i thought they got married and i was like what no he carried the great great grandson of madame cerrone up the mountain so yes i think it's like maybe there was no curse but it seems like there was a curse and it was lifted by resolving it in exactly the same way madame zeroni said you could resolve it so anyways the attorney general closed camp green lake miss walker who is in desperate need of money had to sell the land which had been in her family for generations it was brought by yeah that's right because trout walker so she is the descendant of trout walker the warden was it was bought by a national organization dedicated to the well-being of young girls in a few years camp green lake will become a girl scout camp it's pretty much the end of the story the reader probably still has some questions but unfortunately from here on in the answers tend to be long and tedious while mrs bell stanley's former math teacher might want to know the percent change in stanley's weight the reader probably cares more about the change in stanley's character and self-confidence but those changes are subtle and hard to measure there is no simple answer even the contents of the suitcase turned out to be somewhat tedious stanley's father pried it open in his workshop shop at first everyone gasped at the sparkling jewels stanley thought he and hector become millionaires but the jewels were of poor quality worth no more than twenty thousand dollars underneath the jewels was a stack of papers that had once belonged to the first stanley yelnats they consisted of stock certificates deeds of trust and promissory notes they were hard to read and even more difficult to understand miss morengo's law firm spent more than two months going through all the papers they turned out to be a lot more valuable than the jewels after legal fees and taxes stanley and zero each received less than a million dollars but not a lot less it was enough for stanley to buy his family a new house with a laboratory in the basement and for hector to hire a team of private investigators it would be boring to go through all the tedious details of all the changes in their lives instead the reader will be presented with one last scene which took place almost a year and a half after stanley and hector left camp green lake you'll have to fill in the holes yourself there was a small party at the yale nat's house except for stanley and hector everyone there was an adult all kinds of snacks and drinks were set out in the counter including caviar champagne and the fixings to make ice cream sundaes the super bowl was on television but nobody was really watching it should be coming on at the next break miss morengo announced a timeout was called in the football game and a commercial came on the screen everyone stopped talking and watched the game the commercial showed a baseball game like amid a cloud of dust clyde livingston slid into home plate as the catcher caught the ball and tried to tag him out safe shouted the empire as he signaled with his arms the people at stanley's house cheered as if the run really counted clyde livingston got up and dusted the dirt off his uniform as he made his way back to the dugout he spoke to the camera hi i'm clyde livingston but everyone around here calls me sweet feet way to go sweet feet another baseball player slapped his hand besides being on the television screen clyde livingston was also sitting on the couch next to stanley but my feet weren't always sweet the television clyde livingston said as he stat sat down on the dugout bench they used to smell so bad that nobody would sit near me in the dugout they really did stink said the woman sitting on the couch on the other side of clyde she held her nose with one hand and fanned the air with the other clyde shushed her then a teammate told me about sploosh said the television clyde he pulled a can of sploosh from under the dugout bench and held it up for everyone to see i had to spray a little on each foot every morning and now i really do have sweet feet plus i like the tingle sploosh said a dark said a voice a treat for your feet made from all natural ingredients and neutralizes odor causing fungi and bacteria plus you'll like the tingle everyone at the party clapped their hands he wasn't lying said the woman who sat next to clyde i couldn't even be in the same room with his socks the other people at the party laughed the woman continued i'm not joking it was so bad you've made your point said clyde covering her mouth with his hand he looked back at stanley will you do me a favor stanley stanley raised and lowered his left shoulder i'm going to get more caviar said clyde keep your hand over my wife's mouth he patted stanley on the shoulder as he rose from the couch stanley looked uncertainly at his hand then at clyde livingston's wife she winked at him he felt himself blush and turned away towards hector who was sitting on the floor in front of an overstuffed chair a woman sitting on the chair behind hector was absent-mindedly fluffing his hair with her fingers she wasn't very old but her skin had a weathered look to it almost like leather her eyes seemed weary as if she'd seen too many things in her life that she didn't want to see and when she smiled her mouth seemed too big for her face very softly she half sang half-hummed a song that her grandmother used to sing to her when she was a little girl if only if only the moon speaks no reply reflecting the sun and all that's gone by be strong my weary wolf turned around boldly fly high my baby bird my angel me my only weird that is a completely different song if you really think about it but it has a completely different meaning and that is actually the end of the book so let's run through all of the things we got changed here because it's a very dense chapter as i've said about other chapters but this one really just says hey fill in the blanks yourself fill in the holes you know hold on can you can you auto focus fill in the hole filling in the hole you got to fill in the holes yourself that's basically what it's implying uh it's going to give you the end details and you actually get all the fun of filling in all the other details um so basically the warden has to get rid of the property that camp green lake is on it's sold to the girl scouts um no uh it's sold to a national organization dedicated to the well-being of young girls and it would later become a girl scout camp so it'll essentially become something for positivity instead of just a place for how do you turn a desert into a girl scout camp anyways um maybe it's no longer a desert maybe it actually turns back into a lake now that it's actually started raining because it has finally started raining on camp green lake again for the first time in a hundred years um we also get a conclusion on the curse there is no more curse essentially we also learned that stanley lost a lot of weight but it doesn't really matter because what's more important is the changes that came to his personality and to who he is as a person those are less easy to measure however all in all with everything in the suitcase they ended up coming out with near a million dollars between uh zero and stanley um stanley has his family get a new house for the laboratory in the basement zero spends his money trying to find his mom with private investigators we cut ahead in time to basically the happy ending part of this story essentially what we can learn from this is that the private investigators eventually find zero's mom stanley uh his dad invents a foot smell odor curing thing they end up calling it sploosh just like the drink that they had when they were in the boat back the mary lou boat in the desert and everyone here at the house is gathered together to watch not the super bowl but there's a lot of snacks and celebratory stuff there but they're actually sitting with clyde livingston and they're there not to watch the super bowl to watch a commercial in the super bowl which is actually the only good reason to watch the super bowl because it's kind of boring anyways so um clyde livingston's sitting there and you're like why is clyde livingston sitting there it's because he actually does have sweet feet now because his foot odor is completely gone now that he has a spray that he sprays on his feet it's sploosh uh he sprays it on his feet every morning and essentially he has no more foot odor and so uh that's kind of the happy ending there basically he's kind of like with the family because they've actually fixed his issue of having stinky feet and um you know they're his sponsor and i guess it's a good thing anyways it's nice that the family came together with clyde livingston because clyde livingston had donated his shoes initially and the shoes are actually the reason both zero and stanley ended up in camp green lake so it's kind of nice that his story is also tied together with theirs i feel like everyone in this story is interconnected except for the boys at the camp we have no idea what happens to them i think the movie wraps that up a little bit better but anyways um yes the book so uh essentially and then there's zero sitting on the ground and his mom is there and she's got almost a haunted look to her like someone who has lost their child and been forced to weather the elements and so essentially she's she looks the part of someone who is homeless and has now come back into recently come back into society again now that she that her son's like a millionaire essentially um and he and zero is seemingly one of the family with stanley and so she seems to be just happy to be with her son zero and she's just like fluffing up his hair while singing the song that has been passed down through both family lines although we learn that the song is completely different for them on one hand i don't understand what the song initially meant um i super doubt i'll be able to like accidentally stumble upon a page where the uh yeah i'm not gonna be able to stumble across that the the original the old uh song but for this song uh if only if only this moon speaks no reply reflecting the sun and all that's gone by so essentially the sun is sending messages to the moon but the moon never applies it only reflects that light that message be strong my weary wolf turn around boldly fly high my baby bird my angel my only so what this is saying is i guess it's referring to a person as not only a wolf but also a baby bird and an angel saying be strong fly high you're my angel and essentially it's kind of just an an endearing song kind of just to um i feel like it probably has a different meaning than the original song that we heard uh this one is more of a [Music] be strong and things will be all right kind of song whereas the original i don't think had as clear of a message because of the way it was translated yeah okay and that is the entire book uh final thoughts on the book of holes is i think it's a really good book i think it does a great job of in a very simple manner very short concise chapters it conveys a very clear story of how one thing leads to another and how everything is seemingly connected every single character's story is somehow related to another character's story everyone is intertwined and because of how intertwined all the characters are the actions of every character affect the actions of the other characters they didn't introduce a character that was later dropped because the character wasn't important every character has significance because everyone's life matters i guess is the bottom line there so it's definitely interesting my only caveat with this book otherwise i think it's an amazing book it does a great job of telling a story in a very simplistic manner that's very easy for people to understand um i think it's a really cool story because everyone loves digging holes but also digging holes is not as fun as it sounds i know when i was younger i used to dig holes in my yard all the time um but not you know five feet by five feet holes obviously just small dips in the ground because i love digging and i also used to dig out like when a tree fell over i would dig into the roots of the tree i don't know why i just like digging anyways kids like digging and i think that's what kind of like appeals to children in that way is that like the concept of digging is seen as horrible but also is seen as something that me as a kid i would really enjoy reading about so anyways uh it's also a story about friendship about how even though seemingly you don't have any ties to people around you and you can feel isolated in certain circumstances you can find yourself really kind of finding not only a community but friendship within individuals just by sharing experiences with them and uh sometimes you'll find friends where you never expect them and you just never really know what fate holds for you it also kind of paints this mystical world of where there's curses and these kinds of things and the government works slightly differently but um i don't know i like the book uh tell me your thoughts on the book down below because you know i always like hearing uh from other people on what you guys have to say uh i think there's things i could have done better in reading this chapter i not this chat i could have read this book a little bit differently i could have read it a little bit better um but also we try and have fun with it and you know through the ups and downs we kind of have to just roll with the punches so uh if there's anything you need me to impr like yeah definitely tell me how you felt about the book but if there's anything you think i could improve upon uh with my own reading style with my own anything let me know i'm always here to improve uh i sometimes take criticism really well and sometimes i don't take criticism as gracefully when i feel like it's not criticism and it's more of an insult but i work to try and not take things personally because i really do genuinely want to improve if one of your complaints is that i'm not consistent enough that's very fair i totally understand i change things in videos all the time because i'm always chasing after some perfection that doesn't exist because my hobby isn't reading books my hobby is making videos i just make videos about books because you guys like books this is about you guys what i care about is making video lighting look interesting and uh being able to become a better public speaker and things like that so it's actually just enjoyable for me to do this and it works out for both of us because you know i don't mind reading books i don't think i'm the best reader in the world by any means i just think it's a great way for me to uh exercise some of my own things that i enjoy so it's a mutually beneficial channel i think because we both get something out of it that we like but some of the elements you don't like which would be me changing lighting setups me changing audio setups those kinds of things totally understand why you wouldn't enjoy them as much but i don't think they're a valid criticism of my channel because those are the things that i actually enjoy about my channel so you know hand in hand here we gotta figure out the exact uh things that benefit everyone so that's all i have for now i appreciate you and i will see you in the next book i don't even know what it is maybe night maybe we're gonna get a pressing book about the holocaust who knows it's probably gonna be night i don't remember exactly what the order of books is but it's written down somewhere bye you
