Hole saw trick - How to centre a hole saw

hi guys and welcome to our how to Hanuman series in this video I'm going to show you how to Center a big hole saw with a smaller hole [Music] [Music] welcome back so most of the videos that I do on this channel really come as a result of things that I experienced a my everyday life there was a handyman out there in the big bad world this week we came across a little little challenge that I have quite regularly and that is I was doing some plumbing and I had a hole that had been drilled with a hole saw that wasn't big enough now normally if you want to make a hole in timber or concrete or something larger just get a bigger drill run the bigger drill through and you'll be fine not quite the same when it comes to working with hole saws because with a hole saw the hole saw really uses a central guide bit and if you've got a big hole the guide bit doesn't actually fit so you're actually going to end up we you're a hole saw wandering all over and holding that in place can be a bit of a challenge if you want a nice neat hole so there's a really quick tip really quick solution for that so let's get a close-up on this all you need to do is grab a hole saw that's hollow saw that's the size of the hole that you want to drill through and screw that into the middle like so so now you've got a guide that's exactly the right size but now I want to drill a hole weave it using our large drill bit you'll see that the guide will go straight in done we've got a perfect hole right in the spot that we wanted and it really is just as easy as that and while I've got you when it comes to hole saws and the august's that go with them you can buy a standard one like this but unfortunately they get really tight if you can afford it buy something like this so it's at Olga but it has a a piece on the back that slides in and out and what happens is those pins on here pins they're actually fit into the back of here so when you screw it on and you line it up I've still got my piece of timber in there but when you're lining up the pins sliding pins were sliding and that locks the actual hole saw blade in place so then when you finish that never gets so tight that you need a pair of pliers to undo it like you do with those with this one when it's finished simply pop the back out and spin the blade off much nicer much easier thing to use and I find that much easier on a day-to-day basis anyway that's it for this video if you like what you see please like and subscribe to the channel as always any questions or comments just leave them in the section below and yeah watch out for next video see you soon hi guys and welcome to our how to end they're serious in this video I make anyway in this video I'm going to show you how to use how to get us hole so big a hole saw and a hole
