Hokkaido Guide + Sapporo Day Trips

[Music] yes that's me screaming into the middle of nowhere because I'm excited to finally visit Hokkaido for the first time while Hokkaido is famous for its snow and ski resorts it's also very well known for its unspoiled nature the fresh seafood and dairy products so let me show you in this video some of the things you can do in and around Sapporo for three days [Music] we're going to set up a three-day journey in Sapporo the capital of Hokkaido prefecture and also the first largest city of Japan a great way to get around the city is by rental bicycle and there are many ports you can rent it from around the city which i will link down below in the description box I got my bike inside of Nakajima park and decided to head towards the city from there go thank you go go don't want to run you over really peaceful ready it's a very beautiful beautiful scenery sapporo also has a very convenient train and bus transport system however I just love cycling around a new city so much more because you can also find little neat things along the way and see some of the local areas [Music] [Music] now we're cycle to the city as you can see in vanity guitar so now we have come to order repack and it's in the heart of Sapporo has many events that happen here throughout the whole year and tonight we're going to be going to a beer garden so I'm really excited Tibet the park stretches along twelve city blocks offering a beautiful green space for people to enjoy in the warmer months while an early February it's also the main site for the Sapporo Snow Festival at one of the ends of Odori Park there's also a TV tower you can go up and get a bird's-eye view of old early Park so let's go climb it now [Music] next we headed over to the formal government office where you can also go inside for free and see the historical exhibitions of the building so my recommendation for when you are in Sapporo is on the first day try to cross off all the major areas and the tourist spot and since we are all concentrated in the Civic Centre is very easy to get to and on the other days try go outside of Sapporo and see some of the other areas in Hokkaido because I think they will give you a very different experience before we head over to the beer garden at night we're going to check into a hotel in Sapporo so I've decided to stay at Hotel online and it's an a very convenient central location but I heard the sub tower has a very unique concept so they've gone in and check it out what I like about this hotel is as soon as you walk in it has a very cozy and warm lodge style atmosphere and it doesn't feel like your normal hotel the large like Hotel concept runs throughout the entire hotel giving it the charm of a lodge and the comfort of a home in one hotel and can we just take a second to appreciate how these rooms look and how comfortable the beds were that you have devoted the top floor to see the best thing this hotel offers netanyahu Chicana a tourist Odegard position t-midi no I never apologized don't include me on the top floor they also have a beautiful rooftop terrace where I decided to get comfy and enjoy some wine before I headed out that night and the best thing about this hotel is that you can make Wars by the campfire not many hotels in Sapporo their offices look at it delicious [Music] I don't compensate I do [Music] [Applause] [Music] whoo I heard a knock let's see what it is it's like breakfast and bed this looks so good on the second day we're going to take a day trip to autoroute now we've arrived in what I do and we're going to be exploring the area but what's really really cute is the station has these cute little lamps on the side on the platform Oh tono is a port city that is well known for its beautiful canal historical buildings and glass Hotel can be easily explored by foot and the first place we went to was the fish market to get some fresh seafood for lunch [Music] there are many restaurants around authorization that serve seafood however I recommend eating at this fish market as the seafood is fresher and the price is a little bit cheaper than the other restaurants around the city I will also be uploading another video of what I ate this time in Hokkaido coming very soon on my channel next we took a short walk to the canal [Music] hello I met the canal this is a really popular location where electrical come and you can actually ride a boat along this canal and they give you a full tour back and forth oh this one coming so this side of the canal as you can see has no one here but if you go to the other side a lot of tourists are there and cheap where you were and you can get a beautiful photo of yourself I don't I seem nothing to an autonomous car if you prefer to shop around and see the main tourist areas then Hitler right however I wanted to see more of the historical buildings so I decided to get a rickshaw ride and explore the lift but you can also walk around or cycle around if you miss when visiting Othello just a few stations away from another station we have a study and this is a station by the sea and as soon as you get off the train you can smell the sea [Music] [Music] another great place to visit for a day trip is lakish katsu it's located around an hour away from Sapporo and is the second deepest lake in Japan so Nixie lake so there are a lot of food stores and restaurants and I'm feeling a little bit hungry so I'm gonna get corn which is also a specialty here and Hokkaido [Music] wait this is for [Music] after lunch you can have a stroll around you can come right up close to the lake and there are many things to do here like riding in swamp boats kayaking you can take a cruise on the boat where you can see under the water but I think I'm just going to take a stroll around and check out the area you can overtake a phoner ham with a bridge in the background this time I wanted to show some of the areas you could visit in Hokkaido even if you don't have a car however I will definitely visit Hokkaido again next time traveling around by car and showing you more of what kayo has to offer because I think they would definitely give you a different
