Hitman III - Mastering Dartmoor For The Platinum Trophy

[Music] hello everyone welcome to platinum monday with me robert pearson i don't know why i've enjoyed it like this and him david jackson hello yeah fan favorite that's right um he didn't mean to say that did you no [Laughter] anyway i win anyway today it's the end of a long journey for me it's hopefully it's going to be the hitman 3 platinum trophy popping live on stream all i need are these five trophies here which all relate to the dartmoor map which i decided as i was playing through the game i'll leave this for plata monday because it's such an amazing map there's no way that the game is going to have a map better than this and then it did well rob when did you decide because dartmouth was the second level of yeah three so when did you decide you were going to go for the platinum um no it was quite early it was when you were doing your platinum of uncharted 4. yeah and i was on holiday that week and i was watching that stream and i just thought to myself what i i was annoyed i was like dave's got really good at uncharted 4. what can i get good at on my holiday yeah and i decided it was going to be hitman 3. i think it's a great show i've genuinely really been looking forward to this i've been enjoying that you've been enjoying hitman and it feels good that there's a hitman player on the team now and i want to really enjoy this it's so good it's so good i really hope that the game is going to behave for me on this stream because hitman can be quite unpredictable hello to everyone in the chat hello domino hello oliver barth our lovely mods as always um i'm just going to read some names ryan claire hello robin dave hello to you ryan how are you lucy sobi says five amazing five five trophies yes that's what we've got to do tyler bailey says let's go let's go indeed um so i will just take you through the five trophies that i need to pop the platinum so we've got no stone unturned quite simple all i have to do is discover every area in dartmoor and that's pretty easy because the map shows you which areas you haven't discovered yet so that shouldn't be too difficult then it's a hidden trophy spoilers by the way if you're playing hitman 3 i'm about to reveal some hidden trophy information so upstairs downstairs is a trophy that will pop once i've killed the target alexa carlisle in three different ways once in her private room i've also got to shoot her from the roof and i've also got to put her to rest which i think means pushing her into her own grave god and burying her a little extra very and holding a service for her that's right we've also got this hidden trophy family feud which is to help emma kill alexa emma is one of alexa's daughters it's a it's a messy situation with this family very poor yeah oh it is it's have you seen them knives out i have it reminds me a lot of that the dartmoor level was really cool um we've also got full house again pretty simple i just have to complete all of the mission stories in dartmoor um i've already completed one when i played through the game just the first time so i've got another two of those to do and finally this is the big one the great outdoors i've got to reach dartmoor mastery level 20 which essentially just means doing as many challenges as possible earning as much xp as possible and leveling up um which hopefully is going to make for quite an entertaining stream i hope so because that's what i'm here for yeah to be entertained that's right so those are the five trophies i need i'm gonna start by completing the remaining mission stories i haven't yet done and while doing that i'm going to be discovering all of the undiscovered locations which should hopefully pop no stone unturned and full house and then we will turn our attentions to killing alexa carlisle in various hilarious ways sounds great i'm actually midway through dartmoor in my game so i'm going to spoil it it's going to be ruined i'm genuinely like because those people who don't know and i didn't know dartmoor it's like it's like a murder mystery where you can play the part of a private detective that's right and you can investigate what uh there's been a murder in that in the mansion you can investigate it and uh that's what i'm doing i'm diligently trying to discover who the murderer is i think it's probably going to be ruined for me in this stream but i'm up for it because i'm i'm uh fully in support of this platinum monday and i want that's right to succeed trying to decide what what to bring with me tricks on this fun the the coin is so it's such a simple piece of equipment but it's so useful i do love the exploding golf ball as well have you had fun with the exploding golf ball yet no i see i saw you have fun with it but i haven't you can have even more fun with it you can just throw it at people and it explodes yeah and it it's one you should get some of them [Laughter] what shall i bring with me ah so it doesn't really matter i don't think how i kill alexa alexa carlyle here because i'm going to be following um you're starting which all right okay so we're starting with just doing all the story missions so we're starting with starting i'm going to do all the story missions and i'm going to try to say all the locations yeah so for those people paying attention that's full house and no stone unturned that's right so are you going to have to have to like play this twice to do the two-story missions oh they yes we'll i mean i know this you know i'm only on this level so i've hardly touched him and three but i just love the way this level looks it's great inside and out the mansion is incredible it's beautiful and this is so accurate to dartmoor this kind of uh course i was gonna say i don't even know if that's right they're just like shrubbery yeah this sort of bleak bleep as well the bracket the bramble and the briar and the bracken and the and the it is very just so you can see um i think the private investigators arriving here he comes um so the mission story i have already completed when i did my initial play through was doing the big investigation and disguising myself as um phineas whitmer yeah that's what private investors i'm midway through so much fun it's like a whole new game isn't it it's like a little mini murder mystery it really was that's why i couldn't believe it i thought well i'm just now i'm just going to be the private detective and i have to do the detecting i always press the wrong button there so mission stories so as you can see i've already done means motive and opportunity yeah so i'm going to do her final resting place and a day to remember okay i don't really know what happens in these stories i've tried not to do too much research into this to try and make it as as organic as possible um so i quite like the look of well i'm gonna have to do both of them let's do her final resting place so you can do that and the game will sort of give you a hint as well as to where you have to go to progress that mission story well this could well be related to uh upstairs downstairs i mean her final resting place and isn't that wasn't the description like you know lay her to rest or something indeed it was so you're absolutely right dave it is very likely that we will end up killing alexa carlyle by pushing her in her grave because i mean i've explored this map fairly thoroughly and there is like um she's staging a fake funeral for herself yeah she's trying to fake her own death um that's the kind of rich person i want to be she's got an undertaker and she's got um you know a her she's got a hole and she's got a grave like already dug out she's got it all she's ready she's really got everything you need she's ready to go she's quite she's got a grave uh and i just love the way uh hitman just sets these things up so i'm going to start you know i don't want to be prowling around the gardens i'm not going for suit only yet um we don't have we don't have to do that for the platinum but uh probably will though so i'm gonna decide i'm gonna disguise myself as this guard here hopefully no one's gonna find his body there there's no handy crate around here pick up his weapon because you know you don't want to leave those lying around well you want to look apart so now there's an enforcer there so i don't want him spying phineas whitmer the famous private investigator hired by madame carla this morning i'm curious when you played this how did you kill alexa have you have you done any of the upstairs downstairs was it in a private room or um i remember what the other way how did i kill it no i think it's pretty i've went to the end of the um means motive and opportunity thing oh look i love it it's detailed as well like the people who were able to spot look through your disguise are the ones who have the same disguise as you which makes sense because the people who are on your team like your staff members would would notice right yeah if someone was looking different but also it's not all of them which i also like because it just adds a little bit of like obviously like maybe they're new on the job yeah maybe they're like you know they're allowed to get past ranked club get past these two i'm glad i'm not one of her kids you do get a little bit of leeway don't you yeah there's plenty of leeway so he could start spotting me and he you know don't do so i need to say fail i mean fine retry say fail this isn't good dave this isn't good that it's failing to save i don't know why it's failing to save because i'm going to need to make lots i'm going to need to make good use of save points it's going to be exciting isn't it working dave let's try and make a manual one um lovely little manual little manual save just there that's worked it's fine i think it's fine it's fine and it says you're online everything's fine it's still saving it's taking a lot longer than leaving saving wait hang on a second silent take down fresh disguise i don't like the way the game's behaving dave it's just i mean it shouldn't still be saving it's been saving for a while tomorrow how do you feel about platinum and platinum run with no saves it's gonna take a long time let me just have a look at that did i actually save no it didn't why why why why he why all right interesting so unless you want to take on the birds i suggest you stay clear of him oh no madame carlisle is still going ahead with her staged funeral tomorrow and she wants to inspect the arrangements how about it 47 you feel up to giving her the grand tour of her final resting place yes i mean my aim's horrible who is in on this funeral like you know are all the staff just like oh this is a bit weird when you're that rich you can do what you want or get rid of the birds nesting in the graveyard i see some nests does it do you already have an idea for this robot do you think the game is going to reveal a likely course of action well the i think the game is telling me to get rid of the nests so we've got the floating question mark so basically it guides you through the mission story so the game is saying over here there's something over here and i've got to get rid of the birds nesting in the graveyard i imagine just shooting them will do the trick the thing is without being able to save it you know how i play hitman is i will save it before i do something in case something goes wrong so i can just quickly reload um so if it's not if the saves aren't working well let's give it another go let's um let's give it another go and everybody helps not working it's not working it's not working either way can anyone see me doing this i don't think that's missed i don't think the birds have cared about that oh okay 1-1-1 oh my goodness maybe any other day for you but for me this is highly irregular the maintenance people do going to be thrilled by this god that's gotta stop popping up please game behave for me so now i've gotta disguise myself as the undertaker how am i gonna get him on his own you need to go away i'm trying to see if there's some there's some bushes there that would be a good place to talk he's off he's doing a little walk anyway okay let's see where he is he's gonna get his own personal security detail oh go away gardner here's the grave that's the grave wow finally the birds are gone that's right that's right as if by luck so there is some there is some other person yeah i can't see them so i could just distract him with a coin i need to get him into a place well there's a crowbar let's grab that always handy quickly never be without this is bad innit i don't know why it's doing it why undertaker where are you going please don't go into a more crowded area oh is it an online offline thing can you go offline don't let her know why don't don't you're not ready to see her now what are you talking about i mean oh god blimey now they've been coming she's going to be coming and now there's a little bit of time element here that's fine where i think i think where he ends up on his path here is just about on his own i don't think that person in the corner can see i need to be saving it now though and this is where i would be saving i understand so i'd be like can i take him out here we're not here oh you probably could actually they're not facing oh good i just need to get him into the bushes quickly without anyone else seeing me come on come on oh lord there's no one that way intense music get him into these bushes wonderful well done 47. someone's saying there are there are suggestions in the chat for how i could be solving the save issue oh i've got a gun the the would not be high that won't work what kind of oh it's mission story completed that's it that's all i had to do for that mission story oh that's fine are you going to try and do the other one as well now then like just carry on be the photographer i could do but i don't know if you know the here she is she's here i could just i could just if we assume that her going into uh the grave is is her final resting place then you could knock that on the head i could just knock her on the head literally and then we could look into the save issue maybe yeah this feels like a good opportunity doesn't it hello madame carlyle is just walking up with a shovel i'm ready for your funeral now i like his sash i trust doesn't like that i must say i don't care much for the choice of flower either [Laughter] i like our shovel is a legitimate thing for a funeral director that's why i just want to get rid of i just can see him well now she can't but i mean surely he's going to turn around any second died most natural thing in the world no need to make an emotional spectacle of it i love how he's turned his back the only witnesses are gone alexa and that guard are the only ones who saw me doing that and how um so i'm fine at the moment i think i might be only one away from getting my chameleon challenge as well come here you're breaking my heart oh no no two disguises away i know i've not disguised myself as the photographer yet so there's the photographer and it'd be nice to save that one for the mission because then you'll get two trophies in one if possible what see this is this is where it goes a bit wrong because it's not registering that i've disguised myself as the undertaker it's because of this save issue i think it is and that could be that could be a problem problematic for you know everything else assassination hmm put alexa carl tourette see i've done that yeah i think i've done that you have done that and it's not registered that i've done it i'm just gonna finish the mission dave and see if any of those things actually i don't think they are i think we're gonna need to we're gonna have to think about this and it's not going to take me long all right then just promise me you won't be sad if it doesn't work i'm going to be a bit sad i think all i need to do um these the pipes on the exterior of the house are very good did i have i got the crowbar i have uh i can't remember clouds and moto says rob you're setting off my alexa device alexa alexa carlisle alexa kill alexa carla oh god i'm sorry i don't understand oh god imagine if it does okay done understand yeah timothy oswald has reminded me that some challenges do pop at the end of the mission um so hopefully at the end they'll pop but usually they would register in that little um in that section in the challenge box they would register that i have done them oh they're continuing i don't understand why a failed situation is it's really bad that's all the auto says all the auto saves no i don't i want to move past the window and this one move past would you be would you be doing this imagine actually doing what he's doing now just casually walking along the side of the building there i think i'd be most worried about just it giving away i think that's slothicus turn your alexa off i'm in a mission where i'm about to kill alexa carlyle i'm going to be saying alexa a lot [Laughter] i'm trying to think of the worst thing i could get to do but i'm not going to just put alexa in a different room for the duration of this stream i apologize for the inconvenience alexa set timer for 30 seconds okay so i think this is oh he's an enforcer he can see through my disguise oh goodness is this alexa carl no this isn't alexa main office no how do i get there use the map i am supposed to be finding look at this mansion supposed to be finding other locations as well aren't i so i've not found whatever that is there i think that's a private room there's the office okay so it's if i go through here oh there's some forces everywhere i need a better disguise yeah that maybe this oh okay that's you yeah maybe this uh servant can investigate it oh come on yes i like that you turn it off as well is that gonna there's not gonna make them no he'll still come and investigate the distraction um if i have it if i leave it on will someone else come as well maybe so hopefully once i take his disguise killed by a funeral director that's efficient his disguise [Laughter] we do your the safe i wonder if they might be some sort of a code maybe have a look around i also like how these the codes don't change so once you know it once you know it you know i really like it in games when they don't write down the codes you find as well you've got to remember you know it's not something the game's going wrong it's not it's not registered that i've got the case file yeah and it's not registered that i've eliminated alexa carlisle either that's true and it's not giving me the option of exiting because usually now like the exits were done everything okay the game has decided to break unfortunately well i feel like we might we might have to go on a break once we uh get to the bottom of this because uh obviously this is gonna be this is gonna be uh an issue let's just try this let me just try well that was just a free just a free bit of gameplay then like rob didn't even get any anything for that if i enjoyed it i'm gonna have to do that all over again yeah um what if you went offline can you is that a thing well and then come back on again well just can you do you have to be online to yes for the for the challenges to read for you too xp yeah you have to be um online well there's no reason it should be doing this i've never had this happen before i suggest rob that we take a break we could maybe we stop the stream maybe we say we'll be back at three with uh which is 20 minutes time with the let me do the highest let me just try it one more time let me just save that huh yeah it just said saving and it's saved let me just go in here it's not going to take me stone unturned upstairs downstairs family feud full house and the great outdoors which basically revolves around uh assassination of three ways doing all the mission stories um finding all the locations and kind of mastering the level in a nutshell so that's what we're going to be doing uh from now um so yes we're going to see if we can you're going to you're going to basically do that that one again rob we're going to try and get to the graveyard again be there know what i'm doing now the funeral director so yeah the first mission story i'm going to try and complete is um oh that guy's an enforcer so i'm just going to take the long way around here around this fountain don't look at me don't look at me so we're going to do what we've already done basically because i know how to do it now and we should be able to do it quite quickly he says i hope everybody's doing well today we're not really sure how long the stream is going to last no it could be quick it could be an unknown maybe not quick but it could be a couple hours could be it could be a bit more so that's exciting look it's gone straight to the arrangements for the stage what's the delay it's the birds they're as gardener oh yeah i thought it was gonna let you do that whilst wearing a undertaker's here she comes not this guy she comes madame carlisle is on her way i wonder how she will like her final the uh locations and completed all the mission stories this being one of those mission stories which is to uh for crying out loud alexa i'm sorry i didn't catch that alexa go in the grave i think it's broken again dave no he hasn't shall i just stop that stop that oh god i can't be bothered i just need to get it done we don't just need to get it done you don't need to do this in like a proper role play oh god someone's coming perfect oh yeah come on come on dude oh no no one no no one has to hear it everyone's just so keen aren't they to come and discover some murders you've got that combo down definitely going to count towards the um that trophy that i need at the uh the upstairs downstairs yes upstairs upstairs downstairs downstairs we should i'm wondering what the nate what that is because i suppose you kill her upstairs and downstairs you've got a killer you've got to lay her to rest which is what we've done you've got to shoot her from the roof which i'm thinking now i know that she comes out here after the undertaker is getting her out i reckon if there's a way to quickly get to the roof as she's coming out and looking in that grave i can snipe her from the roof do you drowning her and killing her with fiber wire would be 4 000 experience on its own and that would then unlock versatile assassin which is another 4 000. so that's 8 000 off the bat plus dropping the chandelier on her head yeah the only thing i'd say is that the feet you can do all in one go like you can you know kill this person with that kill that person with that take a photo of the flirting employees we'll do that one whenever we and taking a photo of that maybe the rest like this one you know that guy when he's at the piano the guy with the pool ball the guy with the newspaper they're
