this four bedroom home under construction on Skytop Terrace in Fairfield recently hit the market at just under a million and a half dollars but there's a catch a lawsuit over who owns the property that was a little bit of a shock on one side as a developer who paid 350 000 for this land back in October but in a lawsuit Daniel koenigsberg who lives on Long Island says he's owned the undeveloped property for decades he claims a fraudulent deed was given to a lawyer who had power of attorney for a Daniel koenigsberg of South Africa the lawsuit says the true owner has never lived in South Africa how the system fails you know when you have checks and balance you have lawyers on each side looking at things how does this not get caught Fairfield Police tell us their detective Bureau is actively investigating how this happened construction now halted neighbors concerned about how long the issue will take to settle there's really nothing to look at it's just a really it's an eyesore at this point I really just hope everyone involved uh kind of gets what they need because it seems like there are two victims in this case either way I feel bad for the Builder it's a bad situation that tends to lose a lot of money there we reached out to the defendants in this case including the developer and the attorney they had no comment in Fairfield Linda baccaro News 4 New York
