Hip Hoppin' Hornbills | Sam's Zookeeper Challenge

okay guys today im doing flight training with horn bells and this is Klaus okay everybody we're here at the Maryland Zoo with Lindsay and Sarah never got to do flight training with porn belts right yes ponder that confirm goals and what are their names Houston Clara you guys ready yes all right let's do it body of that mess over so they normally are cavity nesters or Nolan's life Justin yes what if straight to lands on a head just don't be so we thought that it would be fitting to have an inkless cavity Wow so cool are they fully grown yes [Music] they are corn bills are full size they reach their full size in just a couple of months so he has an orange beak and she is a black beak that's really the only way to tell him apart yeah he's a little bit bigger than she is okay but that's the quickest way to tell you sooner that's life [Music] so cool so Sam if you want stand next to me okay and then you'll just want to put your hand out like this and then I'll start you off class good and so you can actually give them the food next time you come sometimes you'll call them back class the dead grasshopper um do you want to show I can cricket very delicious for a farm bill and then you can say this name they look like the birds up kakazu from lanky that is also a corn bills there are many different hornbills throughout africa and they just have different like colorations so cool just have to hide it he's a thief and you can tell as soon as he lands he's expecting his snack yeah so cool class is so tiny and cute with Clara okay we kind of trained em for fun to include our guests in their trainings anti-fans yep about six inches of her perfect here bear she's like this is a good way for people this she's so vocal it's so cute and they definitely don't do it perfect every time so and it's a good way to tell people kind of what the training process is and that mistakes are okay too we train using all positive reinforcement here so if they do what we ask them there's always a treat in it for them and if they don't do the right thing then that's okay yeah they're allowed to not participate or to mess up I'm in there are no negative consequences yeah too bad that wasn't on one of you guys I hope I met the challenge today guys if you want to watch more videos click here and don't forget to subscribe below
