Hikvision Device Password Reset using SADP

open up a browser like internet explorer double left click on internet explorer to open it left click on the top address bar and type us.hikevision.com click enter once the page loads we want to hover over support and resources hover over downloads and left-click tools on the tools page we want to scroll down until we see the sadp option left click on sadp to the right of download installer let's left click on the sadp installer link click on save wait for the download to finish once the sadp tool has finished downloading we want to left click on open and then double left click on the sadp tool dot exe file click on next we want english so click on next again this is where it's going to install to click on next and then click on install we want to have a desktop shortcut icon let's click next again we want to run the sadp tool as an administrator so uncheck run the application and click on finish let's minimize all of these windows to get to our desktop right click on the sadp tool and then left click run as administrator now it's asking us if we want to enable update checking for the program let's enable it to the left of the id number left click on the check mark box in the bottom right corner of the program left click on forgot password under the first step left click on export on the left side of the window left click on desktop and then click the select folder button it should say exported click on cancel now let's go back to the us.hikv website scroll to the top of the page hover over support and resources again hover over technical support and left click password reset now let's make sure that the inquiry type says password reset and scroll down on the page you'll see a form please fill out your first name your last name your email and any other required fields on the form including the device serial number now we want to click on browse under the device key files section click on desktop the file name will match the device's model number click on that then click on open and then click on upload once you fill out the form completely check mark that you agree to the terms above and then click on the submit button after you click submit it will give you a confirmation page telling you that your submission has been received our password reset team will email you 10 to 45 minutes after you have submitted the form you will receive an email from hikvision technical support with a file attached left click on that email we want to scroll down almost to the bottom of this email hover over the file and click the download arrow button now click on save it will be saved to the downloads folder once the file has finished downloading we want to go back to the sadp tool and click on the forgot password button again under the second step we want to select import file then click on the little folder icon on the left side of this window left click on downloads click on the file note that it has a serial number in the file name now click on open now we want to put in a new password that will remember that is 8 to 16 characters long confirm that password by typing it again and then left clicking the confirm button reset password succeeded we have successfully changed the password of our device
