crop of olympians to scale the peak as a pro pretty durable type as well iwasa you know a bit of a surprise if this one does end early i'm in the early career defeat against yamanaka in that last round [Applause] what a what a domestic bandwagon title fight that was and then he was absolutely dead at the weight and got halfway around the world and trying to deal with lee haskins in a leisure center a little sports hall in bristol no atmosphere and uh he just wasn't right that night but uh he could certainly make life very very difficult for mirage on medallion who has made them miss a their careers this is only his ninth pro fight winning a world title in his eighth his whole career has been in the united states he is based out of india on the west coast fighting at home here and looking to put even more pressure earlier on iwa the end of that first round uh huas is going to be spending a lot of time on his back foot here and that jab is starting to become a bit of a weapon already here for ahmedalief yeah good job for macmillan i like where he's not falling in too much with them he's keeping clever pressure just keeping that that close distance between him and not really letting him off the ropes too much he's keeping just cutting the ring off nicely he's happy to just close him down here at medallion keep that pressure on he's taking chances with his defensive i don't know whether it's necessarily at this stage so early on in the fight was that the how he fights he is relaxed he has his hands low anyway but ahmed ali of coming forward the high guards he's blocking shots without having to do much because his hands are high and then he's letting that chopping overhand left hand from the cellphos dance goal he's fell short of a couple of times but it's only going to be a matter of time until he finds the target with it misses with the left hand us has felt the two jabs and he's got closer towards ahmed ali after to nullify that shot just fall short again with the overhang left hand but it's it's going to be a matter of time until that starts finding a home straight down to work here at the third [Applause] does set a nice pace doesn't he bringing in the right hand again straight through the non-existent defenses of ryosuke iwasa yeah blocked off the uh lead hand there of the japanese fight up very nicely it's very relaxed he's got a nice style the way he fights and the way he holds himself but just sometimes you know he's a little bit guilty of getting caught with too many shots you can see the redneck around his face there he's not he's he's blinking the shots are landing now he's taking far too many shots at the moment at this stage in the fight nick you're absolutely right and it's this jab he just can't deal with it at all [Applause] and he's very confident attacks behind the jab such a good shot there yeah set up by the jab that's always trying to get it get get the point across in the first couple of rounds that that two jabs faced and then the backhand let it go you know don't jab two three of them and then leave and then wait no no gap two jabs and a backhand straight away you landed it there it's a good shot look for there you go again that was a nice shot again and a little little right uppercut inside from nice responsibility while so there is to the uh left-hand lead brought a nice counter left in himself [Music] i keep thinking that it was hit his left hand he keeps yeah he's showing it from side to side yeah which you normally see from a fighter when he's when he's injured the hand he's been reluctant to throw it but that was a nice left counter that he did land there i think he's just one of them habits that many fighters have a lot of them touch their eyebrow a lot of them touch the waistband he's shaking his hands good stuff here again from mj finishing the round strong it's obviously at a decent pace this fight sean why is unified champion where he belongs it's good stuff for me i thought we mentioned he had a couple of little moments of success in that round yeah but it was actually after finish the round on top we didn't see that nice little counter left there which is a shame probably for a few seconds it forced me dahlia onto the back foot not for long it's the first time i've seen mcnadale take a couple of backward steps that left eye is starting to really mark up for ryusuke comes in and he's got him again oh i don't want to be taking these he's getting caught clean now he backs away iwasa but then he's found his range again it's good stuff this from that medallion is getting broken up here quality stuff nicky he threw two jabs to the boggy he's got a reaction from the wasserman he's back the upper cooking yeah it started this and there's an even more of a reaction here because it's backed up on the ropes terrible start to the round for him hack medalia bossing it here in round five now has he weathered that little spell here at wasa for a moment i thought he was going to go and so did half the uh ten thousand people in the arena as well but in wasser as you said right at the start of this fight he's tough and he's durable the job from aktimalia of his absolute world class head and body i love that combination when he started this round where he jabbed to the body jab to the body again and he got a reaction on the faint of the jab to the body from iwa said it was it dipped down the next shot was an uppercut and it landed and it started off that little barrage what we've just seen of punches for the first minute he's absolutely quality and then he's coming back just as it was up looked like he was on the back foot but goes and he stopped it oh my goodness oh that's prematurely not kidding yeah he was under pressure but i know he's tough i know he's under pressure but the man's a former world champion and he's challenging for another whale title tonight he's technically classed as incident champion he needed to he deserved morgan now that was a bad stoppage that was premature if it was an eight-rounder that was a premature story yeah he was under pressure but he he'd rallied past the first wave and he managed to get some shots into his own and then at medallion came again and i couldn't believe the referee stepped in there i mean it's like what on earth are you doing there's a lot landing and they are power shots but don't forget these fellas are 120 odd pounds each they're not heavy weights they're not big middleweights they're not big welterweights even you know the phantom weights and that they can take a lot more than that they didn't think the bantamweight division where the punch volume is a lot more than any other fighter i don't think he's in any real danger that he's smiling he's moving side to side still
