High-End DOLLAR TREE DIY Home Decor | How To Transform $1 Decor into LUXE Decor!

hey everyone and welcome back to the channel for some more DIY home decor you all really show it out on our last video giving me so many nice comments and showing so much support I had to come back and squeeze another video in here I want to give a big thanks to everybody and I hope you all had a wonderful week so far I'm super excited to show you all what I came up with so let's go ahead and get started the first project that i haff y'all is gonna be a wall decor piece and i think it turned out pretty nice the bulk of the project here is gonna be used mostly of these chargers that I got from the Dollar Tree I was actually pretty impressed of the quality of these Chargers how they came especially how they're painted kind of a metallic gloss the back has a black finish so it's gonna bring out great contrast against the wall for this piece I use none of these Chargers I picked up some Mod Podge so I could glue crushed mirror to the charger since the Chargers already came painted in a silver metallic finish it's really gonna save us time here you want to start off by coating the center of the Chargers with Mod Podge and I recommend doing these one by one so that it doesn't dry up and then you'll go ahead and sprinkle your crush mirror [Music] after you apply the Mod Podge and spring all your crush mirror to the Charger's you want to definitely let this sit for 30 minutes or more that way it can all dry any additional crush smear that didn't stick to the piece you can just take the charger to the trash can and start shaking it lightly that way the crushed mirror falls off has another option you can also apply additional Mod Podge on top or use a spray adhesive to seal it for the backing of this project I use own board as the foundation due to the Chargers being made up of a hard plastic it carries a little bit of a weight due to the size of the piece that I'm making so I doubled up on the foam board and for the width that this piece has that I'm making this is Holly the second foam board down I'm gonna recommend that you use Gorilla Glue construction adhesive that way it dries really fast [Music] I'm here now just laying down the pieces seeing what kind of design I want to make you all can create the same one that I'm gonna make here or come up with an even better one [Music] if you take a closer look you can see where I placed a small black dot right in the middle when I glue down each piece each of them had this dot so that I could align perfectly now let's go ahead and glue each piece down [Music] [Music] [Music] due to the foamboard being multiple layers it caused the sides to kind of go down on each side so I used another foam board to leveled out quad ride once the project had dried I began cutting it out with a knife now since this project does carry some weight to it I do recommend using multiple command strips I use about five of them that could hold about 12 pounds each now that it's ready let's go ahead and hang it up guys look at this piece the Dollar Tree Chargers with the silver metallic finish the design it has you don't even have to add beads look at that framing we're talking less than a $20 bill to make this when you walk past this the mirror just sparkles the camera's not even doing justice whenever you invite your guests over it's gonna cause them to turn their head and they're gonna respect this is a pretty big piece it's decorated over entryway table guys leave some comments below what do you think I really like this piece I'm gonna put this thing everywhere dining room living room bathroom hallway everywhere so this next project is really simple guys it's just a charger that you can use at your dining table the Dollar Tree once again showing out with this plate with the silver metallic finish we're just gonna dress this thing up here a little bit go ahead and get the Mod Podge to start coating your plate on the edges all around once you got that finished let's go ahead and start sprinkling on some more crushed mirror I recommend using a plastic bag underneath so any additional crushed mirror that falls onto the plate and falls onto the bag you can just pick this up and use it again definitely don't want this falling down onto the floor and stepping on the middle the night into my feet let this stuff dry again for more than 30 minutes and you can go ahead and start decorating after to shake it off an additional and once again seal it if you need to with spray adhesive or Mod Podge and this is how the charger looks at the dining table the crushed mirror on the edge is definitely dresses everything up [Music] and for our last project of this video guys I'm going to be actually making a flower based with these chargers and I'm here now just measuring how wide and how long I need the foam board to be to make the sides the measurements that I use for two sides of this box is just based on the length and the width of where the bottom of this tray touches the countertop and I'll put that in the description box now for the other two sides you can just make this however Y that you want it to be I use five inches [Music] to make things much easier once you cut out your first foam side you can actually place it on top of another foam board and use it to cut out the same exact measurement now I wanted to use four of these charger trays to make actual four walls but they actually did not align when you actually place them side-by-side or stand them up the corners actually have a pretty big gap that is they have a small curve to the plate so actually end up just using two of these sides [Music] [Music] for the other two parallel sides of the box I actually doubled up on the foam board that way I could actually glue this to the other side of the box [Music] [Music] [Music] and here's a quick view of the box about 75% finish you all can see how I glued all the sides and whatnot together to finish up the other sides I didn't have anything on them I just use some rhinestone paper I measured a game with the exact length and width was for the sides and then begin to glue it all down [Music] [Music] and here's a look at the final project instead of actually turning out to be a completely straight box it actually turned out to be a nice design [Music] well that wraps up today's video guys I hope everyone enjoyed it if you did make sure to hit the
