Hermitcraft 8 | Ep 14: Yes Wings Club Is Hiring!

what's going on everyone my name is impulse and welcome back to hermitcraft and we are back in the same predicament um used up all the dirt once again i have no grass or dirt and still have this massive area to fill in if we're gonna be doing any more base building today luckily for me i asked around and xb and hypno actually said they could hook me up they have some sort of horse head thing going on i guess so i'm going to start the day off by going over there and meeting up with them and seeing if i can get um i don't know as much grass or dirt as i can from them because we're going to need it um this must be it there's a horse head in the ground this is kind of weird all right let's go through here they did say they're waiting for me there's a horse head in the ground on the other side of the portal it's horse i feel a little bad for the horse but okay what is happening hey dude i am doing great thank you guys so much for coming to my rescue i can't continue building my base without any dirt or and or grass so um you guys have the hookups you said yeah um i mean absolutely yeah we just we we added a little bit here as you can step right on up ha ha excellent and wow it is a bit pricey as you can also see ooh yeah beef was selling it for one diamond for four stacks this is well really okay so what if i told you okay uh-huh that you could walk out of here with with as much grass as your hands can carry okay for free wait free nothing there's no such thing as a free lunch we will give you a piece of paper you give us back said piece of paper and you take all the grass mm-hmm that's it okay it feels a little shady but i need this grass so much faces will we lie to you no look at this okay all right you know what i'll we'll see where this goes okay i'm willing to do this step into our office okay which is right right here okay grab what are these here papers look at this how many other people have done it yeah everybody's doing that it's fine that's a cool small jobs i can probably do okay yeah so um since since you did go with our free items program uh one second just wait right there good sir no no take take a gander nice all right all right you see that oh yes wait it worth right uh six shulker boxes of grass i mean you didn't even give me dirt it's grass that's that's awesome right and all you had to do is just put your name on a piece of paper a piece of paper right easy mode it was the premium top quality stuff yeah only at horsehead farms well i really hope i don't regret this tell your friends about jorge farms because this has been a pleasure this is the business of making people smile well we're just gonna have to hope we don't regret that deal like i said there's no such thing as a free lunch so saying something's free doesn't really fly with me i know there's going to be some payback for what we just did and i've already put all that grass to good use look at this we filled in this area here we've already filled in this whole back area and we ran out again we've got this whole middle space right here to fill in and i don't have any more grass no or dirt i'm gonna have to find a new source i guess but the good news is at least we've got this bit done so that means we can get to building [Music] and just like that another section of the base has been completed you may have noticed in the time lapse that i actually left some openings because you can probably imagine what's gonna go on top of this one eventually yeah that's right a nice smoke tower is gonna be coming up out of this one and i left open a couple holes in the back because this is the part of the factory that's gonna be dispensing a little bit of the waste material out of you know how factories typically work um yeah it's gonna be producing some waste and yeah we got this little back area that we're gonna produce the waste and uh you know take care of it and of course a totally sustainable way right mumbo since we're right next to mumbo's yeah he's gonna love it i'm sure anyway that is now done and i need to actually make a pit stop we need to go over to the yes wings club because i just got a notice from wells that he has been in the yes wings clubhouse working on the interior and he wants to show me what he's been up to wells are you in there hello there you are look at you welcome to the yes wings club sign ups or to your uh your right my left okay uh and uh look at this place man dude you've been busy gemini and i i uh gemini and myself uh tackled the interior she's a member of the club and i i decided to basically uh draft her to uh to help out with the interior and i love how it turned out oh yes yeah it did it turned out great there's lots of like separate areas just little stuff i would have never thought of like putting this little wall in this little divider walls that's amazing that's all her that was super smart wow so now the sign ups are back here it looks like okay are we literally down to one one left wow we've had some sign ups that's awesome we knew this club was going to be popular especially with the goodies we were giving away and now absolutely and now they come in and this place just looks amazing are you gonna are you going to stay back here at all times then for you know when people come in and need to to figure out where to go i gotta be honest i got better things to do with my life oh okay darn um but i have something that you could do yeah and it's time you'd stand there no i wasn't going to volunteer either so yeah so i know that in the past you have been known to like move a mob or two yeah yeah i got a little specialty in moving mobs whether they're hostile or not doesn't matter but yeah what if we volunte involuntarily uh employ several hostile mobs to basically be like the staff around right like we maybe get one here as like a welcoming person yeah maybe put one back over here behind the bar as like a bartender yeah that'd be nice we put a couple back here for sign ups you know it says yeah they'll be like the yes wings club staff i like that yeah we'll we'll pay him handsomely of course you know yeah i'm very handsome in good feelings and um gratitude yes exactly yeah we will we will give them accolades every time we see them and then that should be enough oh man i want to keep looking around did you guys do like every room yeah pretty much uh this is the only other room that is oh wait actually there's two other rooms that are unfinished there's this one so this one also requires your service i was going to say this doesn't exactly scream dance floor right here it does not yeah i'm thinking like a floor here made basically out of redstone lamps and then you can wire up some fancy like redstone magic stuff yeah and do like patterns or like i don't know flash back and forth or whatever basically make it look like fancy and animated okay yeah that should be easy enough observers are fun so that's the thing now um yeah okay cool yeah the last room that's unfinished is the room where we're gonna make all of our profits oh right yeah yeah we planned on selling rockets in this place combining our uh our goodies and and right oh we were gonna give like a discount i think to members we had all sorts of plans that i forgot about yeah okay okay so so i think this will be the actual rocket shop okay so we'll we'll perfect you know fancy it up and put down some chests and all that kind of stuff but uh we don't have to do this part right now i think right now the big thing is uh finishing off the interior okay and then reopening this place as well because i had to put down a sign you know temporarily closed oh yeah yeah because the old sign up was right here on top of this carpet yeah and uh we had to move it so we'll have to figure that part out it's turned out great you guys did a fantastic job i'm super impressed i'm glad you like it do you think you can handle the uh the things that i mentioned are those all like are you good with those oh absolutely yeah i'm not looking forward to it actually it's gonna be fun moving mobs is always interesting very cool then uh i'll leave those things in your capable hands okay and uh hopefully this place will be you know fully officially completely 100 open uh pretty soon yeah yeah we'll get it open right away sounds good man all right impulse there's uh one thing that we need to discuss that's very very important okay we have no signups going on right now right and i think we need to decide what we're gonna charge for membership in the ywc because when we first did the whole thing you know it was to compete with the knowing club and all that kind of stuff we've done well i think for free yeah until august 3rd and it is now well past in fact uh false actually signed up after the deadline and since we didn't have a price yet i told her that i would i would let her be an exception to the normal she'd have to pay yeah that's fine that's that's on us man we we lost track of the dates um look how many members we have one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven this is like half of the server man we've done well exactly it's going great but i think from here on out we need to uh we got to charge yeah yeah especially since we're down to one box i need to make more of these boxes and uh it's not easy to make these boxes so it'd be nice to actually make some diamonds off of this this club from here on out i don't know what are you thinking i'm thinking like maybe a stack of diamonds for membership one-time thing and then they're good for the whole season i think that's a fair deal man i mean especially thinking you know they still get a box full of rockets get the helmet get the wings i mean right there that's a good 20 diamonds i think i would charge at least uh if not more um just for that but then they also get the discounted rockets right we talked about for the rest of the season so exactly they're gonna get like three stacks yeah three stacks diamond exactly so they'll be able to make back most of their their 64 diamonds if not you know they're gonna they're gonna it'll be worth it it'll definitely be worth it i like that price okay so we're gonna have to change the book around a little bit and let them know that that's the new thing and then let the the hermits know that if you haven't already signed up well you should have but now it's gonna cost you no you had your chance yeah now uh yeah now you're always money i got a feeling false because yeah i got a feeling those people in the no wings club once they get their their little medals their little trinkets you know they're gonna be coming in here and giving us their diamonds after that you know exactly so that's fine we'll take them all right man well that sounds good i got some work to do in here i'm gonna bring in some moms gonna do get the dance floor going and uh yeah let's get this reconfigured to actually make some profit here sounds good and also just because i i just realized we've never actually discussed it but all profits 50 50 right right i assume so yeah yeah that's kind of what i was assuming okay but just make it sure yeah yeah exactly did you did gem get anything out of the the work that she did in here just she got a free shulker box filled with rockets and uh an elytra and a fancy helmet and my eternal undying okay so so the same thing that the other 10 people in the book got but also thank you i guess goes a long way well you heard him we've got some mobs to catch all right i'm at ethos drown farm we're gonna try to get a drown behind the front desk i think and hopefully get the helmet on him and uh yeah i guess we just stand here and wait for some drown there's some people online so this may take a minute but uh hopefully we get a drown i'll get him in a boat we'll get him out of here and over to the yes wings club perfect fun ride what's up buddy oh i got it i gotta i should probably watch where i'm going so [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right we've got our receptionist in place complete with clipboard thanks to zenith bringing in this clipboard through the data pack thingy we got and uh yeah we're in the aviator helmet got the wings on and we have named it nothing yet i want to actually name all the mobs that we're going to have in this building to have something to do with aviation right so i think for the first one here we shall name it amelia you know as in amelia earhart of course perfect name and already we've got these ones named i got some librarians over here we've got goose and we've got maverick all right of course you guys can put the pieces together there why do we have so many bubbles right now what is happening with the bubbles i think i just need to re-log because um i don't think i actually have any kind of effect that is so weird aha that is much better some sort of weird bug anyway we've got these librarians in here and this actually wasn't very easy because i thought for sure if we just went to spawn which is just right over here just right over this hill a little bit of ways away but not really that far there's a village right here but it turns out there was no villagers left in this entire village they all had died and so it wasn't easy for me in fact there used to be it looks like there used to be a villager breeder right here and i'm imagining that some you know how the mobs just got it and killed the villagers so anyway i had to actually get some villagers and i went to iskall's base iscal and etho just over that hill over there the shattered savannah and i transported a couple of his nethers from others his villagers threw the nether from his base and um yeah he had plenty in his villager breeder and we've got uh we've got the two in here now this one is they still named dinnerbone from you know one of our australian friends that went around the server upside down and everything um so we've got one that's upside down but these are our villager breeders and yeah they're creating some babies now uh which these two have already grown up and i think they're claiming a bed that's why there's only two but i took a couple of them over as you saw and uh it was not the easiest of a journey we got them up the hill got into a boat so that we could just go downhill all the way over there and yeah it was it was pretty time consuming but it is done now and i got two more mobs i would like to bring in as well and they're probably going to be even harder than the last few because i want to bring in wither skelly's i don't know why i just have this feeling that having a couple wither skelly's attending bar here is going to look really good because you know they're nice and tall and stuff so i think that's what we're gonna do and i need to prep this as well so have some ideas on what we could do here we could either do some snow layers in fact that'd probably be the best thing to do is i don't know if i have some on me if we do snow layers and we only make them six tall then they shouldn't be able to get out from in here so if we do how many is that i think that's six right there all right and they shouldn't be able to jump out actually i messed that up that was seven one two three four five six i was gonna say shouldn't be able to jump out even myself there we go if we do snow layers six tall and it's actually gonna help because this the wither sky's being tall i think this will give them a nice looking height in this bar area but i'm gonna do snow layers all around at least the edge here or anywhere where they can get out and then they shouldn't be able to get out and they can just wander around in here tending bar i think it's gonna be amazing all right got everything set up here they won't be able to get out anywhere and when i lead them in here i think i'm just gonna do this and walk on out because they're too tall of course to get through there so okay we've got a plan now i just need to you know go to the nether and find a couple wither skellies this will not go well i'm sure all right let's see if we can get this guy to follow us and i'm gonna silence him i guess i didn't name these other ones of actually do i have an anvil on me one sec let's give him a proper name because i do want to actually hear him behind me if we can as we go because i might lose track of him if i don't hear him or i might you know think he's further away than he really is all right and we've got orville and wilbur of course the wright brothers are also gonna be included so we'll name tag him and we'll let him out and then look at this we've got another one just right here that we could name tag and i think what i'll do is open that up open that up and hopefully we can lure him out and then we'll just run past this guy and i ow okay that's not good i didn't want to be withered already and hopefully we can find our way out of here i actually am lost i don't know where we're going okay so wilbur seems to be following us and i do actually know the way out now so let's see we need to lure him down here but then i need to go back for the other one so i'm thinking i'm i'm hoping i can just leave him here all right maybe we're getting greedy let's just take wilbur back and we'll come back for the other one oh no why there have to be a large magma cube right at the entrance to the stairway come on what are the chances that magma cube despawned uh okay here we go looks like all of our stuff is here at least um luckily we had mostly another right gear so shouldn't have risked losing anything but let's put all that back on yep looks like it's all still here excellent except my shovel i don't see that here so let's look around for a second here we go and it seems we're gonna have to help our buddy out of this little hole he's got himself in as well so there we go you should be able to come over here now maybe there we go and of course another large magma cube blocking our path come on okay just despawned let's see if we can get past this guy perfect all right we should be able to just pass through this portal and he'll try to follow us and he should go to the other side and since he's named he will not despawn but we're gonna get hit as soon as we go through i think so this might be bad oh and of course it's night time okay excellent come on now oh and we don't wither to death before we get him in place come on in you got a job to do just over here guy come on in follow me over and perfect he is in excellent and he shouldn't be able to get out let's test that theory here he doesn't seem to be able to yeah and that's a nice height for him too this is why it was nice to have a taller mob behind the bar because we're gonna sink him down with the snow and then he is perfect height all right well now we just need to get your brother orville in here i can't seem to find the original orville so how about we just take this guy and we give him a name and it yeah he can he can come with us oh yep he hit me hard right when i came through uh oh oh no we're down to five hearts we're gonna die in here because of this oh man here he comes here comes oh yeah i'm definitely gonna die when i go in here with the other wither skelly didn't really think that one through can we heal up just a little bit more before this happens all right here we go and we go and now we go okay no he didn't fall for that oh no [Music] uh all right we're good are we good okay come on now come in oh fall through the bar no yeah we're gonna die this is definitely gonna kill us trying to get this guy in all right come through here okay he's over the table okay okay come on come on put the bar over tomorrow the part nope there he goes he's in we got hit but he's in i think we can survive all right we've got them both in there now bartending together i don't know why they need a sword to bartend but um yeah they have one and they're not too happy about being stuck in there right now so we have it orville and wilbur are in there and yeah i think we are safe to no we're not no we're not oh no oh that was open i can't believe i just did that now we have to get him in there again no that is not good not good at all oh please fall there oh thank you whoo like i said that was gonna be totally easy right all right so with all the mobs in place that leaves us with one last task in here for today and that is we need to install the dance club and i'm not exactly sure how i'm gonna do this just yet so i think i'm gonna head on over to creative and test some things out and see if we can get this figured out all right i think i got a design it is pretty cool it's got some chasing lights here and it's 7x7 which is about the space we have inside the dance club there and we're just gonna be using some observers with repeaters basically getting powered and they are going down and coming back and so they're picking up the observers are actually picking up as they get powered and then again unpowered and it is creating this kind of chasing light flow which is it's pretty nice it's pretty nice i think that's about as simple as we could make this and have it still be pretty cool so all right i'm going to get all these things together this is going to take a ton of repeaters and a ton of observers and a ton of redstone lamps here but um yeah we'll get back on the hermitcraft server and get this thing installed and see how it looks oh yeah the club is now hopping the dance floor is in and it looks spectacular i love that oh and the nice thing about it is there's always lights in the lit state which means we should be taking care of making sure this area is mob proof as well as oh it's nice that these end rods are in here yeah so we should be good this room should be mostly mob proof we'll have to double check and make sure there's no little dark spots anywhere but um everything is done the dance floor is in the mobs are in we've got amelia over here and oh i just need to put a sign right here saying that uh the yes wing club signups are over here to the right next to our librarians which are now zombies uh how did that happen [Music] wait can mobs jump over this or maybe they spawned in here there could be some dark spots oh man they got converted goose i'm sorry maverick uh well now you're you're yeah you're zombie villagers i guess i guess we could convert them back oh no i don't know how that happened but i'm i'm done in here for today guys that was that was a lot of work to bring these guys in um we died we lost some levels it wasn't good uh well they're done they're they're they're in place now i want to see what wells thinks we could probably convert them back to regular villagers if he wants but they do still kind of look cool as the zombie ones but um yeah let's let's go ahead and just finish cleaning up in here and we will call this project done for today in fact i think that's where we're gonna end the episode today we have done so much more building has taken place the inside of the yes wings club is now decked out with brand new employees and we should be about ready to open need to stock that thing up with some rockets and things like that but we are going to start making some diamonds very soon that is exciting and i am kind of tempted to just go crazy and build up the rest of the exterior of this factory i just want to get it done i know that's going to take me a lot of time and if i tackle that we may go an extra couple days between episodes but it would be really nice to have the structure done so i can start doing things like make a proper storage system and set up all that kind of stuff and we could start with farms and stuff inside i don't know you guys let me know in the comments what do you think would you like me to just go crazy and build up the outside of the factory get it done even if that does mean we go a few days in between episodes yeah we already do a few days in between episodes but probably a few extra and it could just be done after that that would be amazing anyway let me know what you guys think about that in the comments of course and thank you guys so
