what's up guys welcome back to the Shelby lifestyle today we're in the gt500 Super Snake and yeah the tires came in today well it's just one of them came in fitting pretty odd to me so I guess they shipped them separately so I got just one two three fifteen by fifty by 17 Mickey Thompson tires so I can't yet put it on the other one it says it should come in by Tuesday but anyways that the tire it looks incredible at the amount of sidewall the new tire has in the comparison the ones I have right now hit realize I'm running the 35 on the sidewall for the street tires I have to the mention of pilots super sports and the et Street headsets I had for it while they had only I think 35 s as well so it this is a major jump okay 35 to 50 sidewall I am extremely just stoked so anyways I went to a cars and copy recently and I was then I was talking to a demon owner and I found out and realize this but against they only made the demons for one year and to me personally I thought they're just gonna be big and that plank I like the Hellcats you know what's so crazy about California I went to my local Ford dealership and that at 83 peppy there it's a 2018 model I believe and that they wanted $20,000 over so about 81 grand for a GT 350 this is a this isn't even an arm so they're still charging markups on these cars so I swung by my Dodge dealership because that yes it's get the same I know we've had this for a little while now haven't seen him before I've heard about it how much you guys asking for this one 141 to 140 so how much over is that 50 over how daddy has come to life now much Marco I don't know how they come to that but I know like on either you can find something 250 in the making how many of these three thousand three so it's that's that's a lot I don't see how 50 over there dog then you got a wide-body Hellcat right here these are new so base price is 64 grand they they wanted $20,000 a DM on a on a Hellcat just because and I was a wide button kid on that you know she picked up one of these so the Hellcats right now you can buy them for 40 grand 45 Grand so that is I don't understand how these dealers founded these marvels anything about it you're looking at an American car right now you know it's not no Porsche there's nothing like that so that's crazy think about that these these aren't like supposed to be blue collar cards these are cars that you should be able to buy and afford 50k over for for a demon the 3,000 cars a year that that's a lot they haven't made 3000 GT 350 ours yet put it this way guys right here you've got your base Dodge Challenger and $26,000 right at 26,000 995 from a distance this is the same body that you find on the dodge edemen but 150 brand 150 and this is the first I'm gonna go swing by the next dealership I'm gonna see how much they're selling there's four and it's not that rare if you have two of them and you're showroom floor people if you look back at it when they're selling the Dodge Hellcats back when those first came out they had about a 20 grand a DM even the GT 350s right now have a $20,000 ATM they're not holding the value you gotta watch out for this kind of stuff this is why you wanna you think that these dealerships in these local cities they want to get some loyal customers stuff like that you know people coming back but it seems like it's more of an auction house them trying to find dude you can bid the highest to buy the latest car okay here we are coming up on the next dodge the they made me run 3333 a total 3333 look no no this is it she says baby yes tell this guy that huh yeah yeah I see you guys said it more than these two yes I'm ready yeah hey 40 yeah that's awesome cats yeah Nadja demons 150 grand I like this is just one new so I swung by another one this is my look this is another local dealership they 150 grand per Dodge even us as well so I kind of began joshing with them and going going like I have a set budget I made up and are you willing to work with me to get this car to a local fire so the sum that up I'm gonna play the video unless you guys think markup price adjusted $50 so hypothetically would there be any way you guys could sell to a local for like not that exact number Oh lower you know cuz I can do 100 I'm not sure if they'll do 100 I mean because let's play about this right so let's say you purchased a car at the 88,000 price right you're you already have another let's say maybe ten thousand in tax and fees you know taxes doctor yeah yeah so now we were already at 98 thousand so now you're only a two thousand above with it's more of like like an auction of police cars coming out it's more dealerships more kind of through the highest bidder you'd say I want I wouldn't even say that I mean I would say if anything is like you know you come in with the right number and you know you can probably get it get it done he since when I say 40 horsepower right yes cd4 and AC Oh what it CPU is a 40 horsepower as well that CPU is a delayed okay is then you can I just get like a normal health care cuz I usually gone for 45 yeah Norman okay yeah absolutely the second disc in one of those you think I can see but if you stick at 7:07 and if you like but don't worry 9 leader ripple on that yeah you know exactly what it says so 18 since this is the price of going because limited edition limited edition absolutely condition I mean it's not after he'd said it is I mean what the even these tires alone think about it you head of a person when he signs along you're looking at blunderbuss retired so honest with you I'm actually waiting for the gt500 to come out but I think it's taken forever for that car to come out is that Ford the Ford Shelby Fitness this is California or this is the modern market that the dealerships are claiming for the Dodge peoples dodge said a while ago that there can start cracking down on these it's charging and insane markup for these cards because I think about a Dodge in these these brands they want their target audience is a blue-collar worker someone that's been working on their life and they want to buy a special one-off vehicle that doesn't cost them a fortune line like a Lamborghini Huracan does or an expensive Porsche no that's not the mindset people use dealerships have these things what they're doing is that they're claiming in the market is a set price which they're controlling the market they're the ones that are setting the market in the first place when it comes down to is that these dealerships are becoming glorified auction houses they're auctioning these cars to the face of these cars off to the highest bidder that is exactly what is going on in a nutshell I'm gonna put it this way they want more for a dodge demon then you can get this car for which has way more horsepower to the wheels and you get to the crank Adonijah demon and it's a manual and it's more limited edition signed by Carroll Shelby it's one of 50 in the world and still it doesn't cost the same and it sure does sound just as good and if not better a funny thing about driving into this gt500 Super Snake is that it's got so much horsepower you really can't drive it with the traction control turned on there really drives cutting the power to the wheels and it makes it so you can't really get going and stop and go anything like that it makes it extremely clunky so it's always nice looking down and saying that traction control said we'll turn that off kinda makes it feel like you're in a real home don't get me wrong I like the Dodge thing that's a hell of a nice car but 150 150 thousand dollars for 20 grand more I can buy a gt3 RS which is an extremely capable car in all measures not just a single focus moment we're not that did the Lake Elsinore dealership you should have heard what they're trying to tell me about the car trying to sell me the car going only 33 of these cars made towed whole world 33 of these cars yeah that thing about it that's how they sold one 450 grand these dealerships they don't quite know everything what they're talking about not these cars and they're just being told by the head guy that the dealership saying oh we're gonna sell that we're going to make a $60,000 profit on this car because oh it's rare it's limited edition they think about it though that like I said the truth of the ours is less of those cars out there have been the demons and if you do - again - if that dealership had two of them and my other dealership there we have two people and I can called another dealership and they had one of them it's not so rare is it seems more like there's a bigger supply then there is of the man and if there's more of a supply than a demand shouldn't it be more of a buyers market they never do this is a problem okay it's not just the main car dealerships like dodge Ford before it's doing it - what their GT 350s are Park in those cars up I bet you do the new GT 500s coming out they're gonna mark those cars up - certainly I'm how can we pay the medium the because they sell e on these ideas up oh it's rare it's brand new is one of one it's the only one we're getting like it this is the oldest the rarest color of them all stuff like that those kind of headline tag lines whatever the point is I'm trying to make is that you can buy a Dodge I'll get right now on the used market for about forty five grand 45 50 grand use certainly it did then hold its value that world even if I even if you put a lot of miles on a car like that if it's so rare it should be at least close to its MSRP if you're charging 20k over ATM I personally just don't think these cars are gonna hold the valley within the mark-up Valley over most cars do not even the gt3 RS s those cars went for a hundred K over I remember getting that gt350r and a local guy Knight the pin dude a local got my car show ask me how much you D play over almost like it was like a show-off contest and I didn't quite answer him but he's showing off that he paid $100,000 over him in his son and we work work work just smile and proud about it because they can afford that think about it though I can go buy a gt3 RS right now for MSRP or even below MSRP with about a thousand to 2,000 miles on it what I'm trying to tell you guys is don't get suckered into these markets it's all a game it's a game these dealerships play happen every single year the older gt500 to add this now their self MSRP every car has this and what I suggest is just dodge it I was talking to a sales manager at a Dodge dealership and even he was telling me that people that are buying these cars they're they're plain just flipping them and it makes sense because they have the money to buy and they flip it the guys that are using these cars and buying the thing for the dragstrip certainly I don't think are now the extra $50,000 to throw to a dealership just for the courtesy have taken the car from them there's no way that you as a buyer are going to maintain the value of that markup over your car and let's say you're buying that even because it what promises it's a very promising vehicle and the aspect of performance well it could buy a Dodge Challenger Hellcat 50 grand but a 2.9 liter Whipple on it next you know oh you're making a downer horsepower same thing with this kind of a car that's a gt500 Super Snake it's got a lot of modifications done to it and it's certainly that cost a hundred and fifty thousand dollars if you buy one of these new hyped-up cars even the gt500 with a bark up we'll never see that money back again it is gonna be gone you're not gonna sell it and make that money back it's over I won't say this depending on what kind of car you want to buy you could justify paying an ATM make an ATM it's fine if the car is worth it to you hey you're also paying for the ability to have that car before anyone else does and to be able to enjoy it because normally we just say no you wouldn't even have that kind of experience if you want to pay it pay it all the way enjoy it nothing wrong with that I'm just trying to make it clear that the whole idea of a Marco is ridiculous this car is so freaking and mechanical you can hear everything that is going on you got a 6-speed manual this is why I think I'm gonna keep this car forever it's one of a kind and I truly love it anyways thanks for watching this
