Part of me thinks it's the nomenclature of "M8".
"Introducing the 1996 BMW M8. BMW's most stylish and powerful vehicle yet."
"Hey, ladd. Look at that. BMW just came out with the M8, mate. Whatcha think, mate?" Great car that mate, right M8?
A part of me growing up always thought it was something this stupid because BMW is so very sensitive about how their brand is perceived in the public court of opinion.
Lol I was in the middle of watching this. Now I really want to know why they didnβt just make an M8?
I never would've guessed.
Eat your words my 95 325ic doesn't have any broken pixels
I canβt wait for the new 8 series and M8 to come out. I hope itβs as legendary as this car was.
My buddyβs mom had this car. It was so fun. What a killer.
This guy didn't do much research on other BMWs from that era did he?
Burnt out pixels, No mate. That's the connecting ribbon, the pixels are fine.
Air vents on doors, sorry mate, that was normal.
Lights hooked up to the mirror, normal again..
Everything angled toward the driver, sorry.. normal..
Air bag without a colour emblam? E34's were like that too.. on the topic of the E34, the light switches were the same..
A lot of what this guy claimed to be unique to this model car, simply wasn't.
However, the 8 series is still up there on my dream car list.
