My wife has a 2012 MBP and my dad has a 2011 iMac. Besides simply replacing the battery & adding a SSD in the MBP 3 years ago, and adding a SSD to the 2011 iMac 5 years ago, they’ve never had a single issue at all. 9 years of heavy use and going absolutely strong to this day. Both running Catalina perfectly too. Old Mac’s FTW!

My oldest Mac is a 2010 MacBook with maxed out ram ans ssd. Being able to replace parts has made this thing last forever
