Here's EVERY update for the 2024 Toyota GR Corolla + Pricing Changes

so for 2024 we knew that we were going to get the blue flame paint color on the gr Corolla now we have prices for the new model year we have a new premium grade so let's get into it [Music] the new grade structure so what it is is you have the core model then you have the premium which is new and the premium features the red painted brake calipers it's going to feature a little bit nicer interior with the bread now a suede it's also going to give you the tours in limited slip difference uh differentials in the front and the rear that actually came on a the performance package last year which you can actually get on the core as a result let's just get into the pricing because that's important but at the same time it's not necessarily the pricing that's important availability in but the pricing has gone up just a little bit so here we're looking at the core at 36 100 that's before destination if I look at last year's it's 35.9 for the course so it's only gone up 200 bucks which Bravo Toyota but that's the thing you know it's it's the availability here not necessarily the pricing I think it's holding it up but the premium model comes at 39.9 which like I said gives you the front and rear limited slip diffs the nicer interior and think of it as last year's the core grade with all the additional options here with the nicer interior as well so just a hair under forty thousand dollars for the premium grade and then for the circuit Edition which is going to have you know the hood vents on it uh the carbon fiber roof as well as that you know that fancier wing on the back 45k roughly before destination just don't think that that's where I think that the steel here if you can get your hands on one is going to be the premium grade with the uh towards unlimited slips on the front and the rear that circuit Edition also comes with forged BBS wheels you still get 18 inch alloy wheels on the first two grade levels now blue flame is only available on the circuit Edition so if you're hoping you could get those paint colors on the core or the premium I'm sorry to break your bubble uh if you want that premium grade it comes in ice cap which is white heavy metal which is like a dark gray you get black and supersonic red here and the premium gray like I said is the best bang for your buck here you get brake cooling vents front and rear parking sensors heated steering wheel heated seats a JBL 8 speaker audio a wireless charger front and rear limited slips with the gr red calipers and then you have the gr logo Bryn knob suede trim seats it'll be interesting to see how Toyota breaks out the the percentages on on trim levels I would assume it would be like 60 for that premium grade and then a mix of the core and the circuit Edition maybe 20 each but the core Edition gives you fabric sport seats functional Fender and rear fascia aerobents sport tune suspension you still get GR4 so it is all-wheel drive it's just you have open differentials on the front and the rear and it only comes in three colors white black and red essentially now you can still get the performance package here that is something I didn't know you can still get the performance package here with the torzen limited slip on the front and the rear but by the time you add those when last year keep in mind uh those things cost about 1200 bucks so again I assumed 1200 bucks here you're getting really close to that premium grade and the premium grade like I said is going to give you the nicer suede seats and more paint colors too and a better audio system so one of the best features here of the new 2024 is that and this will be retrofitted with the 2023s if you are lucky enough to have one but Gazoo racing and performance parts are coming later this year's performance lowering springs hex yes performance shocks also available and you can get the rear sport Wing added to the core and the premium grades that the circuit Edition has so it's great to have these upgradable parts that I mean it probably won't avoid your warranty if you get them a purchased and installed at the Toyota dealership as well some other small tweaks for 2024 we have a a tweaking of the front Arrow duct they say materials include on the inside wide mounting bolt changes to the steering gear rear suspension and battery ground and arrow updates include an addition of aluminum sheets to the front rear bumpers and a change in duct shape to the front bumper airflow outlet and for availability Toyota just says at dealerships later this year but here's the thing I don't think you're really going to have your pick on a like a core model sitting at the lot with a premium or a core without the performance pack versus a pre like it is just going to be what you can get you know your hands on at your local dealer and good luck even at that point you might have to shop around I know there's waiting lists on the gr Corolla so it's great to see the updates that they're giving here it's great to see the blue flame color let me know what your guys's experiences have been I know a few of you do have the gr Corolla I'll see you guys comment below let me know if your experience has been waiting for one or a crazy dealer markups looking at gr Corollas in my area I mean this one's not priced MSRP at 38k so I wonder what they would be charging let's look at lowest price here again the thing is hey if you can get these for sticker price that's one thing I don't know what it's going to be when you get to the dealership there are only 12 in my area within 150 miles which there actually might be more of these than Prius primes let me let me scroll down uh to the Prius there's only 19 Priuses and three Prius primes so you're it actually might be easier to get your hands on a gr Corolla like a leftover 2023 than the new 2023 Toyota Prius which is pretty insane I'm just gonna shift gears on over to best car web because their beloved gr Yaris that we don't get here but thanks to the GRS we have the gr Corolla here in North America this is supposed to get the same engine bump that the gr Corolla has so about 300 horsepower 273 pound-feet of torque and they're saying it is going to get an eight-speed not a dual clutch but an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission um and maybe they add some canards here on the front bumper too which would be pretty cool but yeah uh what do you guys think of the GRS ditching possibly the six-speed manual for an 8-speed automatic it might have something to do with emissions and then the markets they sell it in I don't know if the six-speed is a hundred percent uh discontinued uh right now but it looks like like for sure they're going to have the direct shift 8-speed automatic which we see that eight-speed automatic let's say in the RCF and other Toyota and Lexus products so it all comes down to the tune of the eight-speed Auto I'm not a big fan of it to be honest I think it's a little bit gear hunting when you put the pedal down it sounds responsive I would like it to be um the six-speed manual is definitely definitely definitely definitely the way to go with the intelligent uh gear rev matching gear shifts on the downshift so let me know down below if the gr Corolla is available in the eight speed or the six-speed manual or the 8-speed Auto let me know which one you'd be picking it would be a no-brainer to get the six-speed manual in my opinion but I'd like to see why you would want the 8-speed Auto equipped in your gear crawler GRS but I'm going to shut down there
